Superbru calculating scoring is the same for everyone, I'm not sure it could be much better. The difference between exact and close scores is only in luck.
I had more doubts about participation due to watch of the league itself. For example, I wish Manchester City to lose against Villa, but they are much more likely to defeat them. So it's reasonable to pick City to win, even if I will be happier if vice versa.
That is actually one of my favourite ways to hedge my bets. You either get the money (in your case points) or the result you wanted to happen. You just have to look at it as win-win situation.

Not so long to wait anymore, time to start thinking about my fantasy squad as well.

I'll be the bitch this time around and say I'm not joining as we'll be doing this on superbru again. I wish you all the best of luck though!
While you are being bitch  Cheesy please elaborate what is bothering about Superbru. I am using it for years and only problem I have with them is downtime at the time most games finish. I got used to making my picks in the morning so I don't even notice it anymore.

I don't like the scoring, the downtime and more recently in the euros how they did it with the draws. I would prefer a spreadsheet over superbru at this point.

I only said it like this as several members came out and said they wouldn't join the euros predictor if we moved it away from superbru, hence the bitch comment.

I'd move to another one if any were available but it's the best that's out there as far as I'm aware. Shame the BBC stopped theirs as I liked that one. I think it was 10 points for a correct result and 40 for the score and no close ones. I'll start taking the money in on Monday.

Anyway, @hilariousandco count me in for next round.

I agree that it is very strange to take 120 min result as final score for knockout games. That one bothers me big time since I like playing draws. Fortunately that is not an issue for league predictors.

I have no problems with scoring or tie breaking. Spreadsheet  is probably a lot of work for somebody otherwise it would be a good solution. I know I would not like to take that extra work for the pools I run.

More importantly I am not aware of better option which supports multiple leagues and would like to try out the competitors since I am running La liga and Serie A pools this year.

0.002BTC is fine by me, we should probably get moving on this though. The season starts soon!

So shall I keep the entry fee at 0.002? Bitcoin has gone up a little since last week and is at about £55. I'm ok with it as long as most others are. Would be nice if we could get 50 players for another 0.1 but I don't think we'll get as many as last year, but at least it'll make it a bit more competitive.

I'm fine with 0.002. Sweet spot actually Smiley

How to claim Sportsbet sponsored jersey from the last year pool?
I participated with the username of Igniter.
I was kind of busy with work, so couldn't keep track.

Also, I wanted to know about the raffle as well which was decided.

Contact jeremypwr about the shirts. No updates on the raffle thing yet. I'll enquire about it.

Yeah, I'm fine with either fee. I'm perhaps more in favour of a lower fee to get more people interested, but we've been seeing more participants every season, and I'm fine with a crowded group, doesn't affect my ability to not win;)

0.002 BTC sounds a right price too, if you can't afford that much of a fee for an entire season's worth of prizes and entertainment, then no disrespect, but you probably shouldn't be betting!

That said, if someone's really keen and can't afford it for whatever reason, happy to consider paying for one or two spots if the user's a decently active user here.

Yeah, I might make it 0.002 which is pretty much bang on £50 as of today. If we can get 50 people again that's another 0.1 for the pot. If so I might make 0.1 the first place prize then split the rest between 5-10 spots depending on how many we get. If we get 50 players I'll probably do top ten again, but 20-30 will probably just be top 5. £50 for an entire season really isn't much. Win the weekly yellow cap and you've pretty much got your money back and there should be some options to win shirts as well which usually also cost £50. If you're on a signature campaign you can easily make that back by posting in this thread throughout the season. I don't want to price people out but I also don't want it to be dirt cheap and like you said if £50 is too much is probably best you don't play. I'll probably announce it and start taking money in tomorrow or at latest during the week so keep an eye out for that.

As usual I am fine with whatever fee we agree on. As already pointed out it is for whole season of predictions and lots of fun.

I am also open to some side bets when season gets closer to start. At the moment my mind is still on Olympic games and recovering from EURO so I have not been very diligent with Premier League news and rumors.

0.002 is okay as an entry fee for me. After all, it only looks a bit pricey because the price of BTC increased a lot over the year, but it's actually less than a half of the fee that we paid to join for the previous EPL season (correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the fee was 0.0045 BTC back then). So it's a pretty good deal if we focus on the fee in BTC, and since it's for the whole season of predictions, I think it's totally fair.

🤑 Free Bets have been credited 🤑
Since Sportsbet offers free withdraws ( minimum .002 .001) how about we use that entry fee so we can easily send from our Sportsbet accounts?

I'm very fine with 0.0015-0.002 BTC as the fee, I don't think anyone genuinely interested in the pool will find that too much, especially when it's been announced almost a month earlier, moreover this is going to be a long term competition which literally justifies the entry fee.

Personally, I'm fine with whatever fee you will set. Though, £50 may be too expensive for some people. So, maybe £35-40 would be optimal, but it would be good to hear mre opinions.
And side note, I thimk that if too many people will join pool, it won't be good thing. It will make chances to win something minmal and many people will give up during season. I think that pool with up to 50 participants is optimal number.

Can we decide everything by voting? (add poll to thread).

Don't think it's possible to add a poll but it will be irrelevant anyway as any randomer could vote even if they have no interest in joining.
