Sidebets was always a trust issue, so agree,,, trust should be used to resolve this. But if I am not mistaken, this Bitcoingirl person has had several problems in the past supposedly with the account getting stolen before and then restored, and then name changed so it does have a certain history I would say is not safe. I strongly doubt he'd leave the because of such a ridiculous amount, I've had similar bets with him in the past, and I don't think it's his first bet with Trofo either, even if (supposedly) he were having difficulty paying out the funds I'm pretty sure he'd reach out to Trofo to ask for sometime (at least, that's what I'd do).

Yes, he is... and that'd work too. And having double the amount he's owing lying here should also implies that's his absence likely doesn't have anything to the do with the amount he owes.

Many people will have every intention of honouring their bet but just might not be able to if the price rises significantly
It probably would be best to just bet in fiat values, especially for these long term competitions.
