The future will probably introduce a pay per view system, I'm really surprised that we do not have it already.

If you look at the sports like MMA, boxing and some others, they have already breached that barrier and have shown that it can work without lag even with a lot of people streaming.

The bad thing that will bring is that big clubs will increase the financial gap again because people will pay to watch every Liverpool/City/Real/Barcelona game and will not pay to watch Burnley, Osasuna or Bari.

There has to be a sports channel in the future that just think, hell I’ll buy the rights to every live football game. I know for sure I’d pay good money to be able to have a channel like that. Sky have a lot of games on their various sports channels, I think the ruling behind not having the 3pm Saturday kick offs all live is because it’d kill the smaller clubs, people would stop attending & just watch it from the comfort of their own homes.

@deathAngel: Problem is I'm 100% sure 100% of us here would love to pay to watch EPL legitimately but the circumstances are such that it's not always possible. I have a similar situation to Trofo. I already pay for TWO services where I live, the first plays 1-3 EPL games per week (which it judges to be the most popular), and 1-3 Champions League games per week. But if your team isn't playing the big 4, or the particular game is at the same time as a bigger match, forget it.

You can expand the selection with a second more expensive package (which by itself is almost twice the amount of the first package, but it's still not going to give you cup games or all Champions League games.

So I could still pay over 50 euros (standalone packages mind you) per month, without being able to pause (so yes, I actually paid all lockdown months) and still probably watch half of the games... NOT IN ENGLISH. So I can't understand the commentary, can't watch all the games, and still pay a lot.

Believe me we would want to pay for good shit.

DAZN Germany will probably bid on the rights for the PL eventually, it's just they're not available right now as some other channel in Germany has them. Dazn could become a major player in sports streaming and they've said they envision themselves as becoming the Netlix of sports. It probably depends on how well their service does. I'm sure it will blow up if they keep getting the PL rights but to bid for the UK rights they're going to need a hell of a lot of money and Sky Sports are unlikely to want to give up their domination as it would be devastating for Sky on a whole.

Either way, it'll still be years of putting up with the current situation. Central bank here came out with a dire forecast of worst ever recession since Second World War, so hopefully it breaks current monopolies so badly it even hits tv rights. But you know, hope springs eternal;)

Love that you guys are sharing illegal streaming sites to help each other watch the games. We’re hack next week boys, it’s been a long wait.

Well, I don't mind paying even considerable amount of money if somebody will give me top quality legal service which has rights to all the games from Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and all the tennis tournaments out there. Problem is nobody has anything even close to that in my corner of the world.

@Trofo, don't you have SportKlub in Croatia? as far as I understand they are sending streaming to both of our countries. They also always make a great choice of games, also if there is a possibility they release 4k. have a fairly high quality.
I've seen a lot of people from your country coming to his web portal/app, comment and follow his podcast, interviews and etc...

I have SportClub package and I am paying for their 6 channels (4 in HD). Quality is ok but they don't have nearly enough coverage for me. They have Premier league but in previous years they were showing all the matches nowadays they show just one match and 3 PM, they cover some tennis but they don't have any grand slams nor all ATP 1000 tournaments.

I am also paying a lot for Arena Sport package with 5 HD channels, they have Croatian league, Seria A and Europa league.

Than I am paying also for Planet Sport package which has only Champions league. This one I will cancel soon. And all that channels have different providers which complicates things as well.

When you add all that it comes to about 50 $ and i still don't have all I want. Therefore, I have to turn my eyes to less legal solutions. I am betting every day with considerable amounts and I see that as investment, I don't mind to pay for service but I expect the service to really be top notch and has all that I need. I don't have a lot of free time but when I want to watch something I want to be able to do so on my TV/computer/mobile in best possible quality without any hassle.

Yeah, actually I have local pay TV subscription, but it doesn't satisfy my needs. I get just maybe 6 EPL games per round, limited number of La Liga or Serie. I can't even watch F1 in legal way in my country. So, I have to search for alternatives. I watch lot of football and I want to pick which game to watch, instead of watching what they show on TV.
Now I'm looking on schedule of upcoming games and it seems that I will stay in front of TV in upcoming few weeks all day long. It will be strange, because it's summer after all, not dark ugly winter Cheesy.

I’ll be watching in the UK so I will have all the games on my TV, a mixture of Sky Sports & BT Sport. If you struggle for good quality streams, this site is ‘ok’ -

hesgoal.com

They only list which games are on close to kickoff but it’s not bad.

I sent link to you too. Yeah, they have all Sky Sport and BT Sport channels with English commentary. And delay isn't big, maybe 20 or 30 seconds. But there is one issue - if I'm not mistaken you're in Asia, while their servers are in Europe, so IPTV might work not as stable as it supposed to work. Distance is big factor for IPTV.

Thanks buddy, I saw that. I'll do the test run for the Merseyside derby (which Liverpool mayor said could even be at Goodison Park???). Any delay under a minute is acceptable for me. I'm currently based in Europe, so it's really cool for IPTV.

All online streams have a delay for some reason. Dazn is less than 30 seconds though last time I checked.

You can actually use the German Dazn in Europe without a proxy as they have some sort of EU roaming agreement, but yeah, no Premier League which is a bummer. Maybe they'll get the rights some day.  Dazn will be launching in a lot of countries soon, even the UK, but it will probably have a disappointing line up. Looks like mostly boxing in the UK, though I'm sure they'll have other stuff, but they're unlikely to get PL rights in the UK any time soon. Maybe they'll be able to grab a handful of games like BT or Amazon did at some point but even with those few I'd be surprised.

THAT I didn't know, and would have been perfect if not for the lack of EPL. I feel like it's really sort of protectionist in a way too. Looks like we'll be stuck with patchwork options for years to come. Still getting used to the fact that after moving closer to England, I actually haven't been able to watch Liverpool as well as I did before. And when we're actually finally playing well too!

I read news that Chelsea likely will have to play without Kante. He haven't even returned to team training, he worked individually so far. He is afraid to get virus and infect his family members:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.givemesport.com/1572914-ngolo-kante-a-doubt-for-chelseas-premier-league-clash-with-aston-villa%3famp

Proper providers like Sky, sure, but IPTV services that rip the streams likely won't be 4k even if they take from the proper 4k source because they descale it. You would need a pretty good connection to stream 4k. I think watching 4k for football is probably overkill though. HD 1080p looks great enough. If people were that bothered about super high quality they should probably just cough up for the Sky package or whatever.
Yeah, but there is some providers who have 4K channels in original bitrate, but fast internet is needed to watch it without lag. Though, I agree that 4K may be overkill, human eye barely can see difference between Full HD and 4K. And Sky package isn't available outside 4K, so people have to look for alternatives or stick with local providers, which isn't always good.

I'm currently based in Europe, so it's really cool for IPTV. I actually have an EASIER time in southeast Asia for EPL because we have plenty of affordable sat tv with proper rights, and almost all street cafes play the matches on widescreen tv or projector (so for the cost of a coffee you can watch it all on big screen). It's actually very strange I can't watch English games where I am in Europe, because you have to pay at least 2 or 3 packages to get MOST of it (not all!).

Some phone carriers let you roll over data. Maybe look for a provider that does, or go for a lesser deal if you don't use much data. Kids are glued to their phone constantly though, even when out and about, so they're going to consume a lot.
There were about 7/8 providers here when I checked, and my preference was Lebara (cheapest), but their big issue was you couldn't use them to call a freeline (incredibly stupid but there you go) so almost every government number is inaccessible -- no hospital for example. The ones that let you rollover cost more per month. It's a bit silly here. Just so I can have each kid reachable I'm paying individual lines. First world problems... Constantly looking for ways to not dish out hundreds of euros per year just for the privilege of staying connected!

^  Cool.  Perfect for people trapped in their homes doing nothing.  Lol.  And I think I need to upgrade my bandwidth to stream now.  My internet has been slow since the lockdown...  Everybody's on frickin' Netflix!

Yeah, I probably am the smallest consumer -- only for football. I even wish I could sell back my mobile data. I get 3 gb and each month waste about 2.5gb in unused bandwidth. My eldest runs out in under a week. Kids just consume so much shit online now =p

@hilariousetc, there is some providers who gives 4K channels in original quality, but fast internet is needed. They show few EPL games per round in 4K. I have old Android TV box connected to my TV, but it doesn't works very stable because my device isn't powerful enough to play 4K videos in good quality. And yeah, most providers doesn't gives 4K channels in original bitrate.

Canadian Dazn has a some Tennis, but I don't know what specific tournaments are covered. It's worth getting an account if you can. I have the Canadian one and did have the German one but cancelled it when Covid started. I'll get it again at some point but football season is nearly over so it's probably not worth it for me until it restarts. I think you can have two people watching at once so it's worth trying to find someone who will split it with you. It's a shame you can't have multiple users watching otherwise I'd share mine.

Yeah, the last thing they told me was that they were considering my location (which would be great then I wouldn't even need VPN) but for now the closest to me would be German but right now Dazn Germany doesn't offer EPL! So yeah, going to wait for next season to see my options. I'm really hoping the whole Covid thing shakes things up with the way providers share TV rights.

Send me the link too. I'm really just into EPL (but English commentary please!), including League and FA cups, and of course UEFA tourneys. I'm not even keen on 4K tbh, I'm actually very happy with regular HD, I would even take SD over anything else if the sound is good, British broadcaster, and smooth streaming with acceptable delay (I suppose I don't really mind even those 2 min delayed telecasts but you know, you'd rather watch something as real time as possible!)

Yeah, so far I'm happy with my provider, I sent you PM with a link. You can find every game of Bundesliga, EPL, Chapions or Europa league. not sure about tennis, because I don't watch it that much, but I think there is plenty of channels covering it. I doubt taht you can share subscription because they only allow to watch from one IP at the same time.

If you are really happy with your IPTV provider please send me some info to PM. Maybe you can even get referral link or something. I am interested only in high quality sport channels. Especially something that covers German league, Champions League, Europa league and Tennis (grand slams and 250 tournaments). All other top leagues and ATP 1000 and ATP 500 tournaments I already have covered. Eurosport should have a good part of what I am missing so i guess that is must + something on English for Europe matches and tennis.
Don't know how it works but maybe we can share your subscription, if that doesn't compromise the quality or raises some flags? I send you half of the money in BTC weekly/monthly or whatever.

Back in past I used to watch streams on fishy websites with lot of ads, then started to use Acestream. But these free things is simply not reliable, it often stop working on most interesting moment. There is still few decent streaming websites left, but not that much as few years ago. So, I switched to IPTV. It's not expensive and just for few bucks I get almost 2000 channels, most in HD or even 4K. So, I can watch most of leagues around world in every language that I want.
DAZN is great offer for just $10. My local Tv providers costs more expensive and they are offering much less content. But setting VPN on TV is too much hassle for me...
Most sportsbooks don't even have full screen option, don't even talk about HD. I don't know how it's possible to watch football there Cheesy.

I'd be surprised if you can get any where near 4k from IPTV. Most games probably aren't even shown in 4k to start with. Setting up a proxy directly on your TV can be difficult and probably impossible on some models, but you can probably do it through Amazon Fire or Roku sticks if they accept proxy apps. I just have the proxy on my laptop and link it to my TV via HDMI and that works fine. Got a new TV right before the lockdown started so I'm looking forward to watch some sports on there.

I watch IPTV trough VLC player. I have it installed on my mobile, my TV and my all my computers and they all work perfectly. I recently upgraded my internet plan and now I have 500/250 Mbit optic connection which can handle 4K stuff without even noticing. The list IPTV channel list I used until recently I got for free and it was perfect but it stopped working.

Already considered DAZN but accessing with VPN where I am hasn't worked very well at all. I also don't want to use those satbox options either as don't want to you know, raise alarms.

@hilarious: I don't know why I never thought about THAT but yeah, makes sense heh. It actually is really a very nice shirt, and the comfort level too. Wore it first on a chilly balmy night, strange thing is I never wore jerseys when I actually played football (except the locally made one for my team on competitive sports) so I never got the chance to test out all these new tech jerseys on a full game of football.
