Nah, not yet. Last season I didn't start collecting funds until a week or two before the start of the season, but I may do it earlier this time. It depends on how much interest we get. I'll see how many users apply and what price bitcoin is at and if we get a lot of interest pretty swiftly I might start taking in funds asap.


I'd personally be ok with £50 but I know a few existing users wouldn't be so I'd like to keep it reasonable as to not price people out just for the sake of a little extra. 0.005 is a really nice number though and I'm sure £37 isn't going to break the bank for most. I'd like to keep it at a nice round number in bitcoin so we'll just see what the price is like when I start collecting it, but it will be between £25-40 most likely. People have to remember it's an entire season of fun and entertainment so it's good value and there is some pretty big prizes if we can collect over 0.2. I'll try up the consolation prizes a little as well so there's more to play for on that front.


I'd prefer to keep this thread as the more views and posts it gets the better it looks to potential advertisers in the future. Maybe one day we could get a big jackpot put in. Imagine a whole bitcoin or something. I'll just keep the op updated straight away next time along with the thread in Games and Rounds which is where I'll announce the next one after Sunday.

Last round of the long PL season and when my team is the season winner after 30 years, then why not celebrate it with an opportunity for me to win something. In that last selection, I just thought England is favorite although it's a long 5 day test match LOL

literally the highlight of the last matchweek, followed by Chelsea - Wolves...not really interested in watching the battle to avoid relegation, but ngl, i hope to see the villans in the top flight next season

a small price to pay for seeing your team lifting the PL trophy for the first time   though winning some coins here woulda been the icing on the cake for sure

Only 20 players is going to give us a pool of £1000 (0.1340BTC) with 0.1BTC from the sponsor. It's already looking exciting.

May be we can start registering for the participants and ask them to send 0.0005 BTC or 0.001 BTC in advance to book a spot LOL. Once hilarious is ready to announce a final entry fee then the participants can send the difference. Since the funds are going to stay in an address and we have time, I would suggest everyone to use minimal fees for these transactions.

Next time may be considering a new thread will be better instead of continuing on this one?

Looking at your past performance and performance at the starting, I was you in mind to be in the top 5 by default but it was a surprise for me that you could not make it. But who cares man! We are the Champion!!!

I’ve had a paid finishing position every pool we’ve done, pretty sure I was even top at around Xmas this season but I’ve been awful ever since. I will obviously be taking part next season (which is announced today as starting 12th September).

Suppose we might have to start paying to enter soon, hilarious?

The main pool seem tight for 2nd position if I have some good picks in the last round. I will need at-least 2.5 more points than MoSalah in this round to change the currant order.

4th or 5th place is still open for hahay if you and Mbitr slips to score decent points.

Always appreciate the offer but Hhampuz managed to hook us up with a tasty 0.1 for the pot from Roobet so thanks to him for that. Hopefully we can get the pot to at least 0.2 with user contributions. As long as we get 30 sign-ups it should be doable. Currently 30 players are in this seasons pool but a handful will naturally drop out but I know there was a few people who wanted to join the pool after it started and with the pot being boosted with 0.1 that might attract a bit more interest. I'll announce the new pool after I've paid out the winners next week so we can maximise the sign ups before the new season apparently starts on 12th September. It'll probably be around £25-30 again. I'd like to raise the price a bit ideally but I don't know how many people would drop out because of it. £37.5 is currently 0.005 which is a nice number to have and we'd only need 20 users for another 0.1. 0.004 is currently £30 but 0.005 is a nice round number. I'll see what the price of bitcoin is at when I announce the thread and take into consideration what price users are ok with.


Consolation prizes are still up for grabs for everyone so don't give up.

Not so unfortunately, the extra spot only goes to the holders if they don't qualify via the league -- I know this quite well only because my kid actually supports the enemy (Utd) and he keeps asking me this, plus also the rule only came into being because of Liverpool and Istanbul (I know, I know, golden child of Europe =p).


I'm talking to a couple of sites trying to get as much as I can to bolster the pot, but if they fall through you can certainly have it again.

Well maybe not for toke. He could probably forget to do his picks and still come out number one. Maybe someone will get a high score though to grab a consolation prize so get studying the fixtures as you still have something to play for.


If Chelsea lose and Leicester win then the latter will end up in third place. Is there an extra CL place because Liverpool get automatic entry for winning last year or did they get that this year? The break has me confused.

@hilarious if the final week of games is as exciting as yesterday's 8-goal thriller, then yes, I'm definitely on. Probably going to throw away money on some unlikely bets. Maybe Liverpool to score 4+ goals, parlayed with a Watford win and Leicester win, should be a tidy 20/1 or so bet, might even squeeze in some smaller bets for parlay boosts.

Oh and I'm happy to renew sponsorship, if you guys still like this pool next season (of course we do, right?)!

A draw is enough for united CL qualification. If they don't lose against Leicester they are 3rd or 4th for sure, I actually believe they played their previous game so poorly because they were aware of this and didn't wan't risk loosing that important 1 point advantage against Leicester. United looses that CL spot only if they loose and and Chelsea wins their game.

Chelsea has a tough match against Wolverhampton. Both teams need points here, Chelsea for CL and Wolves for Europa League. This one should be a good game.

But United is third rn...  Had to rub my eyes and look again.  Lol.  How did that happen?

Edit:  Well it's close.  United has to win their last match to secure a CL slot...  And damn it's vs LCFC.

among the "EZ wins" of the week for sure although serie A has been a bit kinder in my bet slips than the EPL

we're gonna have high-stakes football matches next weekend and a thrilling final round in our pool...couldn't ask for more 

They might be boring but they're fighting for survival so it's probably all or nothing for them. I'll probably watch the Manchester/Leicester game now though since shitty United drew today and they're only separated by a point so the winner will grab the Champion's League spot.

Didn't watch the Liverpool game but at 5-3 I wish I did now. Had notifications on and when I saw it was 4-3 I was hoping Chelsea could come back to grab another and get me points for the draw. Final round now so no games left until Sunday. It's gonna be pretty interesting seeing all those scores roll in at the same time especially since it's so close in the pool. There's only 7.5 points between me in fifth place and examplens in tenth. The top three spots have probably been claimed by the current top three though but 4th and 5th are all to play for.

Yeah right, things are getting really crazy in the EPL and the last game might be more weird, over 2.5 goals might be the way to go!

After watching too many upsets its best option just go for over 2.5 as its doing good for few matches otherwise just watching and enjoying is best option in last four days we have very serious upsets which give some serious shocks to many punters with some good amount into lost.
