Anyone backing Arsenal to take points away from City tomorrow and finally put the nail in the coffin for them? Not sure I'd back them to win but I think it will be close. City is probably done at this point anyway. Might as well concentrate on the Champion's League or the other domestic cups.

After watching today's results there is any possiblity any result can happen in any match so Arsenal playing at home ane they are improving in recent time so may be I will try to do some small bet as I am feeling they are not bad at all just need some time for settling things out of ground.

Liverpool were very sluggish. The 2-0 win didn't tell the full story really. Watford scuffed a few sitters and 2-2 would have been a fair score really. Two great goals from Salah though.
But Liverpool were playing well all through the match. It's just they were not able to score which was stressful. In any moment Watford could score but they were unlucky really. Good thing that at the end of the match we had Liverpool with three full points. This is happening with Liverpool in the whole season. Somehow they manage to get the wins and we need more of these 😀

Leicester were also mediocre and Norwich probably deserved the win there. Shame about Vardy's goal being given as a keeper own goal to put a knife in his record goal run which has now been cut short. I'm sure Liverpool fans are ecstatic with the result though.
Yes of course! Liverpool now has 10 points lead and this is massive!
However I was not expecting Leicester to draw or lose in this match. They were having good run in the leauge and draw with Norwich was unexpected.

Too risky to back Arsenal so I gone with usual, City to win 😝

I will not even comment on the title race anymore. It just looks so unnatural.
After so many years waiting, to smell it already before the half of the season is here is a f**ked up feeling.

I mean, 14 points is too big of a gap. Right? Leicester is not a real contender. Right?

Then why am I way more nervous now than at the beginning of the season? Crazy, no?

Not crazy. When you've led at Christmas before twice, and in history are the only team to have led and not won the league, you're damn well better be nervous! What I'm really happy is that Anfield isn't anymore, and the players aren't anymore, so that's a huge credit to Klopp for having changed our mentality.

Can't believe it's been four years since he said "from doubters to believers". He's done it, and he's signed on for another four more years of it, so we're in good hands.

We'll find a way to win it. I want that 14 points to remind City the entire month that we deserved more than we got last season =p Remember we also meet Leicester this month, so I'm relishing the opportunity to remind THEM that this is ours, we fought for it. Let's put any tiny hope they have of catching us to bed this Boxing day!

1st place vs bottom of the table in today's opening match with Liverpool against Watford. Is anyone going for a huge scoreline? 4. 5. 6 goals or more? Will Liverpool put a weakened team out or not take any chances? I think they could afford to as even a Liverpool B-team or under 19s squad should beat Watford but maybe they don't wan't to risk it and give Leicester any boost. With that being said, I don't think they'll play their full strength squad and probably bench a couple of players but it's not like there's any Champion's League games to save them for right now. I'll be watching it either way along with Leicester on the 3'o clock kicks off which also could have another potentially large scoreline as Leicester are on fire at the moment and look to be the only viable title contenders currently since City dropped six points behind them now. Vardy is still chasing his consecutive goal record along with being the PL top scorer by quite a margin. I see Vardy having no problem scoring today but his potential goal record will probably cease with the Man City and Liverpool games back to back next, though if Leicester can get points from them two games it will certainly make the league a lot more interesting.

But seriously, all it takes is a couple of bad weeks and you're out of the top 5.  It happened to me at the CL pool so being top bastard really makes me more nervous more than anything.  Lol.
I don't think one will need couple but one bad week is enoguh because all of us are very close to each others and anytime anyone can overtake you from behind. While the league is getting boring bacause of Liverpool playing FOOTBALL ( 😀 ), the pool is getting interesting. I would not surprise if someone else replace you even in the next round.

Such a long season isn’t it. The lead will probably change hands a load of times again.
It's indeed a long season but it's not boring. Every round is exciting to see close competition.

14 points is too much, it leaves literally no room for error for City. Leicester are technically still in the race but this 8 match winning run has cone against a lot of crap teams. They’ve had their best ever winning run yet still 8 points off LFC. Leicester should be proud but no way, it’s LFC’s title barring a ridiculous, unseen before choke.

It's the fear of losing and it always chase human being. It's in our nature. It's been a long time we have to lift the title but this time everthing is looking right then why not?

I can't remember which team I went with, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be Arsenal.

I hope they can really get a win today, I have a bet on them. However, I'm not so optimistic about their chances.

EDIT: shorena was right by saying "Sometimes hope for betterment is wasted..."
I was betting for them with the same hope and it paid off 😉

I was down into 4th over the weekend, managed to get back to 3rd yesterday. tokeweed is doing very well atm, so difficult to win this pool, it’s so competitive.

Lots of games over the Xmas period so it’s so important to score well.
The way examplens and tokeweed is moving with their correct socre selection, I think at the end these two will have good competition. You, me, hilariousandco and other will just see them running forward
Really this pool turning out to be very interesting one. A bad round and one is out with someone else is replacing them immidiatly.

And what about me, am I serious competitor too? Lol.
"A bad round and one is out" - what if someone having series of bad rounds? Well, that someone is me! The difference between current table leader and me is now 57.5. Do you think there is still a chance for me?
Well, if Man City could win the league from here then even I could win the pool.  Grin

By the way, round ending match West Ham vs Arsenal. I think I gone with Arsenal but really in doubt about them. This team is disapointing. With them there were Tettenham and Utd but seems like both back in the track only Arsenal left. They are still stuggling. Let's hope the do not concede a goal first.

We've all made fun of Solskjaer over the past few months with memes, calling him a PE teacher and whatnot, but can we give him some credit for what he did in the last three days?

This guy, in just a few days, just beat two of the best football managers of the last decade: Mourinho and Pep Guardiola...And with what is probably one of the worst Manchester United squads of the last two or three decades...incredible.

Oh, and the Citizens are 14 pts behind Liverpool. Anyone who thinks they're still league title contenders is a plain fool  Smiley

'PE teacher'.  Lolol.

I'd disagree that it's the absolute worst, but relatively, maybe (only cos of performace issues).  Overall they got a good squad.

Anyway, Chelsea...  They could end up out of the top 6.  What do you guys think?
