Yeah, I’m not too bothered about the FA Cup these days. Klopp isn’t either hence his team selections, did you see his comments post match? He said none of his 1st team squad will play in the replay & also Neil Critchley will take charge, Klopp won’t even be there Cheesy

We have our eyes on bigger prizes.

It’s the FA’s fault, when they started having the semi finals at Wembley they devalued the competition themselves.

Yup, I saw that. He promised that rest to the players a while ago so I support it. I also agree on the FA's decision on Wembley semifinal, it is really ridiculous.

I am kinda sorry we did not win it yesterday, I want the cup too. The league is practically in the bag and I'm fucking hungry for trophies - all of them.
However, I think our kids will have a chance so maybe we can still progress to the next round. Priorities must be the league and CL but I'd still like to be in the cup too.

I think Klopp would too, we tried with both Salah and Firmino yesterday.

@buwaytress - I’m thinking about booking a weeks holiday to Turkey around the time it’s the CL Final because it’s in Istanbul. If we don’t make the final, whatever. If we do it’ll be much cheaper to get an internal flight from the resort area to Istanbul Wink

Not going to tell my girl but it’s something I’ve been thinking about.

Hahah, this is some next level planning Grin
Smart, based on this year's performance (excluding the Lovren brainfart yesterday) the chance of Liverpool reaching the final again is really high.

Btw, does anyone know when was the las time an english team won the treble?
Treble, you mean EPL, Champions league and FA Cup? It was Man Utd back in 98/99 season.
BTW, Liverpool just played draw 2:2 with League One team Shrewsbury, despite that they were leading 2:0.
I watch all match they deserve this draw as they play very good in second half I am thinking this year we are going to watch double by Liverpool and Manchester City as city is good in local cups and Liverpool is going for EPL and CL double who is agree?

Liverpool to go unbeaten at 4/1...?  That's 4 in decimal, so 10 bucks wins 30 (and your stake back)?  Which bookie did you get that line from?
i saw it on bet365 but looks like it's no longer available (they had a couple of Liverpool specials), and also on Paddy Power..Check the link @buwaytress posted, Paddy Power are offering some nice specials.

My logic is as follows. If they stay unbeaten till May they are already champions. This is the time when champions league gets to semi finals and will be absolute priority.
Absolutely. it's hard to think that a team that could potentially win the treble (CL, FA cup, league) would prioritize an unbeaten run or 100 points over winning silverware.

@Trofo. Good call. I lost thanks to Newcastle, but haven't learnt my lesson so putting in Liverpool today with 3 other legs in La Liga and Serie A. Handball? I gotta admit, I have no idea what that is =p

@toke Yes, 4/1. Paddy Power, thought I mentioned: It was 9/2 when I wrote that (4.5) so I gave 4/1.

Betfair was also 9/2 (4.5).

I actually believe Trofo's right and judging from Klopp's past decisions, he is pragmatic to a fault. He totally abandoned League Cup when we played our kids against Aston Villa, and IF we win the League early, he'll want to ensure full fitness and freshness for CL so he will play a lot of rotation in the remaining EPL games.

I HOPE he doesn't though, because I agree players need to be fresh but at the same time for a team like Liverpool, the more they play together, the better their linkup and that's almost 100% how we win games because we're getting better playing with each other.

You want 3/1 from me? Come on =p let's have fair odds;)

Are there any sports books that let you bet on the results of the rest of the PL games? If so, it would likely be better putting Liverpool to win everyone with draw no bet, but I'm not sure I've seen any sites that let you bet on all the future games.

None that I know, The most you'll get from any sports book would be for 3 games consecutive in a single competition (and I can assure you that 3rd game would have the only 1, X, and 2 options, nothing more)

Yeah, I've never seen being able to bet more than one or two rounds or so in the future. I bet the odds would be pretty good on the draw no bet on all their remaining games, or at least certainly better than the paltry 4/1 to go unbeaten.

I actually think they will go unbeaten. Few things to consider though -

  • They still have City away
  • If they win the title really early they may prioritise the CL over being Invincibles & begin fielding weakened teams as they already are Champions

True, but I think they shouldn't throw things away like going unbeaten or even setting a record for highest points in the PL as that's something that will be talked about for years and adds a little extra to their title win. Imagine if they can win the CL as well and maybe even the FA cup. They could go down as one of the best teams of all time. Shame they didn't throw away the Carabao Cup (and my bet for them to win everything  Grin).

On the subject on Liverpool, don't forget to put your scores in for the midweek game as seven people have yet to do so.

Your second point is the real problem. My logic is as follows. If they stay unbeaten till May they are already champions. This is the time when champions league gets to semi finals and will be absolute priority. Actually, Liverpool has big enough lead that Klopp could very well shift his priority on CL immediately. Add to that the fact that most teams in Premier league will fight for european spots or to avoid the relegation at that time...

That is definitely not the bet worth taking, at least for me. I will probably start playing against Liverpool more and more as the season progress.

You 're absolutely right. I am also thinking Liverpool after mathematically ensure PL title, no needs to push to win all games, and team well organised like Wolves can take some points from there and why not to win also. Next CL games are so close, we will see whats will happen.

You guys watching FA Cup action?
I am (or was). I had Spurs to WIN today, but they drew 1-1 against The Saints and messed up my 4 fold acca  Angry

I don't think there are. But I've seen a few EPL specials in some bookies with 'Liverpool to go unbeaten' at 4/1 odds, and 'Liverpool to win the remaining games at home' at similar odds.

The best thing to do in this case is to set apart a certain amount one would like to bet on that option and keep rolling it over every week on Liverpool win/draw or draw no bet. I'm sure that'd by far surpass the 4/1 odds, If eventually it happens.

Ugh. I've just noticed there's no games on this weekend because of the FA Cup. Liverpool have the rescheduled games against West Ham on Wednesday though. Does anyone think this could be as troublesome for Liverpool as the Wolves game was? Probably not as West Ham haven't been playing great recently but they're fighting to stay out of relegation and they're only out of it on goal difference. A win or a mere point would take them out of the zone so with this game being in hand any result is vital for them.

@hilarious The Watford jersey is truly a collector's item IMO, for precisely the reason you mentioned. I was really lucky to get two of them, and they actually are quite well made. Anyone wanting it should watch out for the Sportsbet random bitcointalk only giveaways I've seen them throw in a jersey or two for those who even don't win but try.

Yeah, I quite like the shirt regardless of the BTC logo. Where did you get two of them from? Win them?

The round before the last I made only 4 exact scores and no other points.I don't know if anyone here has done more than 4 exact scores in a single round.
If I am right then we have highest number of exact scores is 5 and its by @tomahawk9 because once he was on top in round with nearly 18 or 19 points.

Yeah, I think someone got 5. Think I might have even had 4 before. Definitely three at least.

4/1 is definitely too small, there is a lot for Liverpool to play for and you'd expect Klopp to start resting his big guns for EPL as the cup and champions league fixture, finishing unbeaten will be a great feat to achieve for them, However, it's not going to be Klopp's priority, would it ?

Great weekend of results for examplens, congrats buddy. He’s now into 2nd place, going up 3 positions. It just shows how one great week can really put you in a great position. I’d say any of the top 8 to 10 could still win this pool.

He's had a great week, the final few weeks will surely very exciting to see.

There is definitely no doubt about Liverpool being the champions for this year, even though it's mathematically still possible.

Only 4/1. I know Liverpool are storming it this season but I'd want higher odds than that. With that being said, I think the only team they might lose against is City at home in april, but the season could already be over then. Or maybe Liverpool lose some before then and City make a miraculously come back and it's all to play for  Grin.

You guys watching FA Cup action? I'm torn between betting on one or two upsets but I already put a 4-leg Premier League parlay down.

I'm skipping it betting wise for now. There is too much of risk involved considering it is a notoriously unpredictable cup and some/all favorites could start the games with their best players benched. Maybe I'll put some money just before the games start when line ups are known. Damn, how I miss regular PL games. This weekend I'll have to watch Bundesliga and La Liga action Smiley or maybe Handball (match for bronze medal is today).

thx mate. in some cases, I was lucky with the late score. I think 20 pts differences between 1st and 13th (BitcoinSupremo) does not mean anything. Here is a lot of games and points remains, everything is possible. yellow cap or wooden spoon, everyone can win  Cheesy
I must say, my feeling is very confusing when watching PL this season, just because of this pool. For example, I am picked Wolves-Liv 1:2, it is an exact result, but I am very disappointed when Liverpool score. I would like to see more team to take points from them, and Wolves deserve that.

Yeah, @tomahawk9 in 20th round picked 5 exact scores.

@BitcoinSupremo I remember last season someone making 6 exact scores! And even they didn't win anything from Superbru cause someone else on the site got 7! And if I recall correctly in the very first week last season, someone won 10k for guessing 9 exacts!
