I'm sure that's what everybody said when they won the league. It's unlikely anyone will catch Liverpool but I wouldn't say it's in the bag and Liverpool shouldn't think like it is either as that's how slip-ups happen. They were very lucky in their last two games and could have dropped points to two pretty poor teams. Injuries can happen as well. Let's see how Liverpool would do without van Dijk or one of their strikers. Leicester are also playing both City and Liverpool back to back this month. If they can win both those games or even get a couple of points things might be looking a lot different. No Champions League games for them to worry about either.

I agree with your thoughts. 11 points lead in start of December don't guarantee EPL trophy. December will be crazy month in EPL and it can be decisive in title race. In February serious games in Champions league will begin and teams won't be able to focus just on EPL. Liverpool had few very difficult wins against weak teams, it shows that they aren't unbeatable. 2 loses and City is back on track. On the other hand, City don't have right to make mistakes anymore.
And yeah, few years ago everyone said same things about Leicester as @LFC_Bitcoin said now. But now their situation is different. Back then they were leading all season long, now they are in chasing position. But I would love to see them ending season in Top 4.

Didn't Liverpool throw away a similar lead last season? Don't think it was by as much as they have now but anything is possible. The December/early Jan games sure will be interesting. Manchester derby this week, Leicester playing both City and Liverpool back to back. City vs Sheff United could be interesting given the latter's form right now and then they play Liverpool the round next on 2nd Jan. Lots of points to be won and lost so there could be a shake up. The table is quite close outside the top three. Man United are 9th with 18 points but they're only potentially six points from a relegation place and I'd really love to see them struggling with that haha.

A lot of people haven’t got their picks in for tonight - come on !
Let's see if a small bump to put this thread back to the top will get the attention of those who haven't made their picks (:   (Today I'm expecting a draw in the first game, and a comfortable 0-3 win for the Citizens).

Yeah, I've for the bore draw on the Palace game. Should be a comfortable win for City but gone for 0-2 instead.

And hopefully, no one will forget to make the Majestic 7 picks, for instance, @toke is usually pretty stoked (hehe!) whenever a new Matchweek starts since it means Majestic7 time lol

IMO , hardest pick for this round of games is the first match - Palace v Bournemouth, could be the Saha v Wilson show . Good luck all

I agree with you, Leicester hasn't enough capacity to win the league. Especially when they have LFC and City as title opponent.

^  I think Citeh is out of the title race.  They've been conceding more goals this season than they did at this point of the season.  And overall, they're not the squad they were.  Liverpool on the other hand, have been really good.

Anyway, what do you guys of Chelski...?  Is luck running out?

Not experienced enough and lack quality in general. I think they will have to fight really hard to get to CL and personally, I do not see them there at the end of the season.
They would have to invest heavily in January to change my mind (I think their fine expires by then) and we all know how hard it is to shop in January.

On the other note - I'm still not excluding City. They are capable of winning 10 in a row at any point during the season.

Leicester does not concern me at all. Premier League is a competition where squad depth is vital, we'll see how small squads (and Leicester is one) will cope in December.

Realistically, with 11-point gap with City, if Liverpool survives December with Prem, league cup AND the world cup games, we will have 1 hand on the trophy already.
This is a crucial period, good news is that Adrian is really doing great for a 2nd goalkeeper and we have only Fabinho out - and midfield is where the squad's the deepest. Matip's injury is a bit of a worry but I'm sure we'll be able to cope with Lovren and Gomez so I'd say the team is in a good moment going into a really important period of the season.

Cheer up boys! We all did badly, and basically the positions didn't shift much. I actually would have preferred Leicester to just draw than give me my 3 points. Seeing them 8 points behind us doesn't make me nervous at all, but I'd like all the teams below us to just submit to our superiority for once =p

Anyway, wow, looking at the table now just made me realise how this is another Leicester season where all the traditional top teams bar Liverpool are finding it so hard to adjust to the modern game. Not just in England too, look at Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, Ligue 1. The giants are struggling. Liverpool set the tone for what is good football now and everyone is trying to come to terms with it. That's my take.

Enjoying the season so far LFC? I bet December is your favourite month!

Leicester will drop off, they don’t concern me at all. They’ve lost 3 already haven’t they? We’ve lost once (to Man City away) in 18 months. We’d need to lose at least 3 Leicester probably couldn’t lose more than another one. Only two teams are capable of going on big, long unbeaten streaks & that’s City & LFC.

I had a look at fiat bookies odds for the outright champions and it’s something like this -

LFC - 3/10
City - 3/1
Leicester - 20/1

We’re outright favourites & for a good reason. City are still our most likely challengers. Leicester play City & LFC in consecutive games at the end of December. They aren’t going to win the title. When they won it they ended up on 80 something points. LFC & City get 90+ points now. LFC are European Champions, City are a world class team. When Leicester won it Pep & Klopp were in their first seasons learning about the PL.

Also, I think, this season is over if we talking about the final winner. It is not a point huge point difference, City has some problems, also all other teams learned how to play against them. You can drop points against some of the top four clubs, but they lost points where you shouldn't if you want to be No. 1. LFC fans know what is mean wasting points.
Still, December is coming, all teams have a lot of games to play in the next 30 days. Everything is possible but this is Liverpool's season.

Wow, this week's results crushed me. So many unexpected outcomes, December is starting so I guess it is time to be playing outsiders now.

I also must comment another City draw and a HUGE 11 points lead - this must be our season now. They need to concentrate on CL and cups, we just need to stay focused and keep collecting points.

It's the same old shit, just a different day with Arsenal, I never thought Emery was the problem.

I didn't get a single point from both matches either,  Man Utd and Leicester are also shitting themselves as I write this.

This week definitely is bound to be my worse so far, 4.5 points, Lol!
Add Utd with them. Another draw 2 - 2. Lucky Leicester that they scored in the 93rd minutes, 2 - 1 win for them and with this I got a correct score in the pool. Which means 5.5 in total from the entire round. Sucks!

tokeweed has a massive week while everyone had a disaster round. Leading the leader-board now.

Somehow, out of nowhere I got all 3 points for Leicester vs Everton

Looking at the leaderboards, It's obvious that it's not a great week overall.
I was in good position but suddenly today we have 3 shitty draws and I am back on my position look like this is going to be very frustraded matches for next few rounds as most of teams going down and have nothing to gain now I will try to go with few draws as well may be this will work as we are going to was few more managers going to lost jobs.

If not for that Leicester win, we'd have 4 draws and zero points for most people. My bet went out the window (took Villa) as soon as the own goal levelled things but I don't know, United can't possibly get anything from the trip to Etihad, can they?

I'm also looking forward to reMounion when Spurs meet the Red Devils.

Anyone else think he's got a nice PR agent behind all that fist-bumping with Spurs ballboy?

Edit: There we go. No points from both matches.
Arsenal 2 - 2
Wolves 1 - 1

I went for both draws on the 2'o clock games. Got one scoreline correct and just the outcome on the Arsenal match. Went with both 2-0 home wins on the 4'o clock games so only got the Leicester outcome with their late goal luckily. Nice to see them still in the title race. I'd rather it be them chasing Liverpool than City for numerous reasons. I wonder how long Ollie is going to hang on at United? Drawing with Villa at Old Trafford is pretty bad. I noticed United practically had a b-team out and a few 18 year olds in the team/squad that I've never even heard of before. What's with that? Have they got a load of injuries? Might explain their current losses.

Don't forget there's games most days of next week starting Tuesday. Can't say there's any I'm excited about. Manchester derby on Saturday though. It's at City so they should turn United over but you never know  Cheesy.

This round sucks for many members and still same happening but now I am positive as we have nearly 5 more matches in December and I can expect some good points and high rank with next few matches.

edit: Arsenal done 2 - 2 but still 30 minutes remaining and Wolves struggling against Shef Utd.
Well less than 3 minutes left to finish and still both matches are in draw position and both Arsenal and Wolves seems not making much from it. I need Wolves to score one more goal to make it 2 - 1 and if Arsenal can score too then I may get some points LOL

Edit: Injury time LOL
