FFS, City win again. The title must be theirs now. They only have to beat Leicester & Brighton now, I doubt they will choke like they do every season in the CL.

In our Superbru pool it was a crazy day today. I had a terrible weekend of results. I started today in 1st place & after the Leicester vs Arsenal game oeleo went into 1st, panjul went into 2nd. I went into God damn 3rd.
Luckily I got Man Utd 1-1 Chelsea correct so I moved back into 1st.

It’s so close & any one of the three of us could end the season winning 1st place.

Here is the table with only 2 more weekends of football left (only 2.5 points between 1st & 3rd)

Everybody is trying something new to improve the game but I find it hard to believe that 1-1-1-1-3-3 formation will stick.

Just spat my tea all over my laptop, thanks for that one Trofo! Reminds me of something from my early days on Champ Manager  Grin

United really look to be struggling. I'm going for a Chelsea win in my accumulator this weekend (2.74), but i'm really liking the look of Chelsea with BTTS at (5.09). Only problem is it relies on Man Utd actually scoring a goal!  Tongue

- Chelsea to win (2.74) - 2.20% Margin
- Total Goals: Over 2.5 (1.89) - 2.42% Margin
- Chelsea win & both teams to score: Yes (5.09) -

Do you think Man Utd can pull a performance out of the hat on Sunday?

Hey guys have you seen new formation by United yesterday? Everybody is trying something new to improve the game but I find it hard to believe that 1-1-1-1-3-3 formation will stick.

Don't know who captured/made the image but the link is from twitter account from guy named tom. I laughed my ass off when I saw this, somehow missed it during the game. Google the formation to see some world class comments  Grin

No coordination, no communication and I think it's starting to show that the manager sucks.  It hurts watching it as a neutral.

I think they're gonna go thru what Liverpool went thru.

No Hazard in team of the year either. Pogba is a waste of time, all the natural talent & physical attributes in the world but he hasn’t got the hard work or work ethic to be one of the very best.

He looked great at Juve tho.  I think he needs to get out of United and be in a new environment.  Mou might have messed with his mind somehow.  Too much psychological warfare.  Lololol.

Happens all the time with talented players, they get paid millions and then they get lazy. The incentive to work hard is out the window after that.

United looked really well in the beginning of the game but City took control gradually and won without loosing too much nerves. I am not sure what is the problem with Pogba in United. He was definitely payed too much for what he brought to the team. He often looks uninterested and then fires up for few games. When he decides to play a good game you can tell that he is much higher class of the player then rest of united squad (with few exceptions, namely Rashford).

United needs a whole squad reconstruction, this squad is in my opinion able to take places between 5th and 8th spot in the league. LFC, City and Spurs are miles ahead and Chelsea & Arsenal are also a bit better at the moment. Wouldn't be surprised to see teams like Wolves, Watford & Everton regularly beating this United.

It's a shame Lingard missed that opportunity to equalise, could have turned the whole game around. Commiseration to Liverpool fans, although I'm still secretly hoping City will slip up somewhere in the last few games (looking at you Leicester!)  Wink

Amazing that Man Utd had only managed 5 shots on target in their previous 4 games before this one, and only managed 1 last night. Do you think their strike force is tilting badly, or is it that they just aren't getting the service needed from the midfield?

I mean Pogba was named in the PFA team of the year so it can't be his fault right?  Wink

Hope springs eternal, I guess, Ronnie. I'm not sure how to feel but I'll know anyway come May. I know all Reds want that one elusive prize and it's still so far away even at this late stage.

Pogba was a waste, he wasn't necessarily a bad buy but his price tag makes him poor value. I loved his rampaging days at Juventus but I never saw any shade of that... except perhaps the time United won 3-2 at City (after being 2 goals down). Salah isn't in PFA but Pogba is. Strange!

Well what a bummer. United actually weren't so shitty this time around but de Gea should really have at least saved the 2nd goal, maybe give a bit more motivation to the rest.

City... The league is yours to win, also yours to lose. No Champions League so I don't see how you could fail. Feel free to surprise me!

^ ^  I'm celebrating f*ck City night.  Betting on the Spurs +1.5 at 2.08ish.  And I'm not stopping there.  I got Watford ML at 1.93ish vs Huddersfield, Leicester ML at 2.32ish vs Wet Ham, Newcastle ML at 2.52ish vs Southampton and Everton +0 at 2.35ish vs United.

F*ck City and f*ck football.

*mic drop*

I am thinking City is destroying Spurs today. Especially after seeing Lloris is not playing today. Anybody knows why? They want the revenge badly and Spurs could be a little bit flat after great result in CL. Anyway, I am again hoping for a game with a lot of goals and high entertainment value.

Spurs game in 30 mins, gentlemen. 4 more weeks of predictions so you might as well put them all in now. I know I have. Took a sweet 12.5/1 Spurs bet on Fairlay. They were 10/1 just a few days ago but they will be the more motivated team. City are not fragile but the way Pep hung his head after their CL exit? I won't be surprised if some of the team carry heavy heads today.

Either way, it won't be another 4-3 match. City should still edge this with sissoko injured but counting on Son to still score and nick a draw at least.

@buwaytress -

Man City remaining fixtures -

Spurs (H)
United (A)
Burnley (A)
Leicester (H)
Brighton (A)

I think we need them to draw one (or even lose) of Spurs or United. The lower teams don’t even seem to bother trying against City. They bend over & pull down their pants before the game starts mentally.

I think we will win all of our games -

Cardiff (A)
Huddersfield (H)
Newcastle (A)
Wolves (H)

We just need City to draw one.

It’ll be a nightmare if we don’t win the league & end on 97 points. It’d be the highest ever points haul for a runner up. I’ll be quite sad if we come 2nd & only lose 1 game.

Hah!  Burnley away after playing the Spurs and United (plus the CL match vs the Spurs before that), and winning would be a miracle.  I feel that's a draw.

It looks like tough time ahead for Man.City and easy games for Liverpool, probably will end up winning the title , Liverpool I think.

@Trofo I totally get it. I have kids too and my youngest is basically at me and on me the entire time he isn't at school... Let's just say we are tied at the hip =)

I don't get much time to myself at all and even the weekly Liverpool is a luxury, but last night we had early dinner and the mom took kids to visit a friend. It was almost exactly 2 matches worth of good timing.

@LFC yeah the only time I dared take my phone out was pre match... Tried to film a bit of the anthem but didn't want to piss anyone off. I think it's great people try to not take phones out during match =D

We've helped United get their top 4 by beating Spurs and Chelsea. Let's see them return the favour with City. Some games back I remember seeing Utd fans willing City to win instead of us, but they've quietened down. Maybe OGS gave them something else to think about.

But like Klopp says, all we can do is win. Probably better not to play with the knowledge of dropped points elsewhere. 4 more games in EPL, hopefully also 4 more games in CL... !

Just got home, wow what a performance. Salah’s goal was amazing. I don’t take pics at the match very often (it’s looked down on & seen as uncool) but I couldn’t help it after Mane scored.

Here’s a pic of the players celebrating just after 1-0.

Edit - The Red Machine rolls on. Let’s see if City drop points vs Spurs & or Man U which are their next 2 PL games.

^  Try getting him into football.  Start them young.  Grin

I have a girl and I already started. She knows how to sing 2 supporters anthem of our local club. I chose kid friendly ones for beginning so that wife can't object. I have big hopes to turn her to the football watching camp.
