... (and I still got my soft spot for Brendan Rodgers) ...

I assume you are a Swansea fan then? Grin

It is the only LFC manager I truly cannot digest, the only one in club's history without a single trophy after 3+ years in charge.

Regarding today's results - well, it is a truly disastrous round for me so far.

So far so good for me today.

I will lose the Watford match but I have a Leicester parlay with ex EPL boys Cardiff and Fulham both leading 1-0 at 10/1... And a Sheffield Utd 5/1 at Everton also leading through a really lucky own goal. No shots on target and leading 1-0. Premier League huh.

If all goes well it's a big day for me but of course everything to play for. Hope Watford at least get a goal back. Damn City.

They are in the seventh heaven already, I doubt there'd be consolation goal here. I'm gutted with Everton scoreline tbvh, I hope they can savage a draw, I have them on double chance on a parlay.

Oh man, I missed your post...who knows? Maybe I would've gone with your prediction and won my parlay today (which I lost, i was expecting a home win in this game).
While the over 2.5 market was a win but I was so wrong about Bournemouth. They deserved the win.

So far in the pool, I have no point after the upset in Tottenham match. The only hope I see is to get some points from City and Burnley match as Everon is still behind by 1 goal.

I can't decide between 1-1 or 1-0 to Southampton. Both teams are tied in the league tables and have had the exact same results so far (1 draw, 2 wins and 2 losses). Southampton managed a draw with Man United at old Trafford (not a bragging right these days  Grin) and won their last game away so they might just pip it but I think it will be a close one. Maybe even 0-0.  Leicester/Spurs should be a good game in the first of tomorrow's matches. I think that will be close as well. I'll probably go for the draw but I kinda hope Leicester win it even though I have a soft spot for Spurs. It would be nice to see Leicester have a good run again and a win would see them temporarily overtake City for the second place spot  Grin.

About United, yeah it's funny. Reading some of the pre-match analyses and a few people are taking jabs already talking about a United upset and all that. I can't recall if Liverpool were ever derided like that even when we were mid table, but anyway, heh.

I got half my wish for Harry Wilson to score... that's what I get for changing my score to back the bookies haha. Nice to see 5 of our pool went against.

Definitely watching Leicester, thinking the Foxes should snatch it, if they can take advantage of Spurs's lack of freshness. Strange what you said about soft spots! I'm like you when it comes to Spurs, never a team to hate and years and years of entertaining football, and I really want Vardy and co (and I still got my soft spot for Brendan Rodgers) to get some joy.

Southampton v Bournemouth SOU 2 - 2 BOU (Really not sure about any of them but over 2.5 has very good possibility)

what a ridiculous Bournemouth goal in 94+ minutes took away from me 1.5 pts.  Wink
I've said it in the other EPL thread, that goal was just embarrasing coming from first division football players...Some people are blaming Bednarek, I say "wtf was the GK doing there?"

Anyways, glad to see that i was part of the 80% of users in our pool who chose Southampton win or draw, it means no major changes [today] throughout most of the leaderboard Cheesy

I'm betting on a Saints home win tonight even though I'm slightly torn between wanting Ings to score and Wilson as well. The former because I really liked him and if not for injury he coulda been a part of our squad better. The latter because I'd love for him to come into our senior one day.

Anyway. Watford. City. Watford have to win 1 time this season... and City have to lose at home 1 time;) Almost 26/1 to win;) Worse than Norwich haha! But hey, new defensive minded manager!
I am also feeling today Saints can win because they are doing good in last few matches even Bournemouth is also good but home advantage is also vital for them and probably score is going to be 2 - 1 hopefully today I am going to have all 3 points with this score.

Only a draw would have ensured I got some points so I wasn't actually bothered with about Bournemouth making it 3 - 1, I had already lost hope after the first 2 goals.

I haven't locked any of my picks for this week, and starting off on the wrong is making contemplate whether or not I should make a lot of changes or just stick to my initial predictions.

Fellas, my picks for the round 6 and I hope I get some decent points from this round 🤪

Southampton v Bournemouth SOU 2 - 2 BOU (Really not sure about any of them but over 2.5 has very good possibility)
Leicester City v Tottenham    LEI 1 - 2 TOT (Not going to be easy for Tottenham)
Burnley v Norwich    BUR 2 - 1 NOR (this could very well end with point sharing)
Everton v Sheffield United    EVE 3 - 1 SHU (Everton are favorite in my opinion)
Man. City v Watford    MCI 4 - 0 WAT (City will be aggressive, they will need full three points with as many as goal they can score)
Newcastle v Brighton    NEW 2 - 1 BRI (Very good chance for another draw here)
Crystal Palace v Wolverhampton Wanderers    CRY 2 - 1 WOL (Place is better team than Wolves in my opinion)
West Ham v Man. United    WHM 2 - 2 MUN (Did not take much risk with Utd LOL)
Arsenal v Aston Villa    ARS 3 - 0 AVL (Should be an easy win)
Chelsea v Liverpool    CHE 1 - 2 LIV (Liverpool finally may find themselves in a challenging position however they will win after all we are going to have the season title)

Btw was did anyone from the get 3 points from the Aston Villa vs West ham draw, I had West Ham to win 2 - 1, but I knew that wasn't going to happen right immediately Masuaku got some off. That caps another shitty week for me in the pool.  Undecided

My prediction is a draw but I set 2-2 for it LOL. So surprised there was no single goal at that match.

I did, but that's basically all I got from this week. A lot of surprising results.

LFC_Bitcoin is running away, he's from England if I understand correctly so he will be hard to beat.

I am indeed from England. Never give up in this pool though because all it takes (especially at this early stage) is 3-4 good match weeks & you’re right back in the mix for the paid places.

It’s way too early to start saying certain people will win. Last season I won it but it wasn’t until a good while that I hit the top. Even then oeleo, panjul & myself were swapping places at the top all the time.

Yeah absolutely, it is still on the beginning. There are so many weeks remaining, many matches left so there are still many chances to earn points. Even leading 10-20 points now is not a guarantee that we will stay on the position at the end of the competition. So keep on analyzing the matches to get a better prediction so we can gain more points than other participants. Probably LFC has an advantage because he is from England but prediction does not care from where we come from. LOL. Thumbs up for all participants.

Yea, I'm actually doing ok for now so giving up is not an option. I meant that you follow it a bit better since you are from England, especially lower teams' form, injuries and things like that.

It will be those Watford-Villa games that will probably decide the most, not Liverpool-Newcastle where we'll all go for a home win.

You can see everyone's pool picks after the game has kicked off. I had the game at 1-1. It's rare that people go for 0-0 but it can pay off as in cryptofrka case especially as he was the only one who got it.

If anyone wants to join the champions league pool there's still time: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalks-2019-champions-league-pool-sign-up-thread-5154317
