Will be chucking my predictions in later tonight. I'm fancying tomorrow as there's a few interesting games. What's your guys input on the Chelsea vs Man city game? I'm thinking Chelsea might just get a point even though they've dropped off their form recently. I think Man City struggled a little more than we are used to seeing during the week, and I think a draw is worth a shot to reap some points back :p

Or am I completely crazy, and just desperate at this point?

Not crazy at all, Man City dropped points twice this season against Liverpool & Wolves. I don’t see why it’s unrealistic for them to drop points away to Chelsea. Stamford Bridge is a really tough place to go, not many teams win there.

Bit of a shocking night really. Chelsea struggling, and losing. Liverpool struggling, and having a pretty decent comeback after they conceded, but largely they struggled all night to do anything really. Liverpool still 2 points behind City, and increasing the gap between 2nd, and 3rd due to Chelsea losing. Coming up to the Christmas break, and teams do start dropping points because of the congestion. We'll see how Liverpool, and City fare. I think City have enough depth to deal with it, and I think Liverpool haven't been playing their heavy metal football of last season so should deal with it a little better.

The only team NOT struggling at all is Manchester City, so we are all just hoping as neutrals that please somebody make them pay. Last season they were the same and every team almost just didn't do anything to them at all. It's just very frustrating to see the league become a lost cause when it's not even 2018 end yet. So I'm not Liverpool fan, but I want them to win, I don't like city players as a neutral except maybe Sergio.

So Chelsea please, do something.

Just going to go & look at my predictions now to see if I should alter them a little.

Good luck everybody Smiley

It's so close, I don't expect to keep 1st place every week trying so hard and hard to maintain. I also changed a few predictions to be against what I expect, just to try gain a few unexpected scores. IF it backfires, I'll be fine Tongue

I think Chelsea will lose tomorrow too, they couldn't beat or draw Wolves those suckers, they can't expect anything from tomorrow game. I think to take profit from this game is the odd is good enough for Man.City as I am sure they will have an easy win.
Indeed Man.City will win, I'm also sure, but it won't be that easy and I'm sure Chelsea will provide an interesting resistance in this match seeing Stamford Bridge have its own magic with the many True Blues present.

Definitely crazy. Even Sarri doesn't think they can beat City: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfTPJrgP1XM&feature=youtu.be&t=395  Grin

City only beat Watford 2-1, but it could easily have finished 5-1. They dominated most of the game, created plenty of chances, and Foster was the only thing that saved it (pun intended) for Watford. Yes, they became too complacent and eased off too much towards the end, but I'm sure Pep gave them a bollocking for that. Chelsea on the other hand looked poor all game against Wolves. Hazard seemed to have lost his stride, and Chelsea depend way too heavily on him. Willian, Morata and Alonso looked very poor throughout.

I know I'm comparing just a single game, and anything can happen, but I'm still favoring City by a goal or two.

Well, I missed last nights games, because I forgot once again. However, I remembered about the games tonight! 6 picks out of the lot will be enough Wink Right? Cheesy

For me it's the other way around, predicted yesterday's games then forgot the rest. I could've maintained my position and get at least 2-3 more points if I didn't miss the games today.

Putting this one out here for participants like me that's interested on the consolation prizes.

Origi has got a starting place tonight instead of Mane who has a stitched up foot which apparently happened towards the end of the Everton game.

slaman went top, sending regrettable congrats (you bastard Cheesy)

Games tonight though so fingers crossed I score well Smiley

Thank you! I got a close score on all the games last night, so I don't mind getting close scores for everything tonight, usually I can hit 2 exact scores a week, but as long as I keep the pressure on the top for a few more weeks I don't mind!

We probably have same scores tonight, Liverpool should win of course but I am half-changing my scores for United/Arsenal every few hours. It's impossible that we're thinking Arsenal can beat them easily at Old Trafford but the team is not the same one anymore.

Yeah I think the key to doing well in this tournament is consistently hitting the 1.5 points for close & 1 point for correct result. It’s really difficult to get a lot of exact scores (if we could all do that we’d be rich from gambling).
It’s a lot more achievable to constantly get 5 or 6 close/correct results per match week.

As for tonight there are lots of points to be won.
I’ll be happy if I hit somewhere in the top 3 at the end of the season Cheesy

Oh man. I didn't even realise I got the wooden spoon last week. Not my best work, haha. Climbed back up 2 places from the 4 games today though, so hopefully the rest of this week will continue to bring some more luck for me.

Some ridiculous football today. Shane Duffy headbutts van Aanholt within approximately 12 inches of the ref for an instant red card, and then 10-men Brighton go on to win 3-1 anyway. Palace's defending during Brighton's third goal was utterly shocking. And Cardiff get an early penalty which Fabianski saves, and then they get beaten 3-1 as well. And City only win by one goal instead of their usual 4.

Look forward to Arsenal - United tomorrow. Also wondering how Leicester fans will react to Ranieri.

I was at the game with my brother, we started to walk down the steps to leave on 95 mins just as VVD had that crap shot, luckily there was a queue to get out so I saw the goal. It went mental when Origi’s goal went in, for some reason I looked over to the linesman & then the referee because I was worried it’d gone over the bar/line before Pickford touched it.

My ears were ringing as we left.

Fucking brilliant Cheesy
I was literally thinking to myself all game that there's just no way we score unless they mess up so bad, because Liverpool just wasn't clinical enough, and the front three just didn't look like scoring. Then that happened. For some reason I just kept watching all the way through. Where as if its that dire normally I just have it on in the background. Absolutely mental. I don't know what Pickford was thinking. I literally had the same reaction as Van djik. You could see he was frustrated, and I was frustrated that he fluffed it. But, yeah....I don't really know what to say as its just so bizarre.

Midweek game. Should be relatively easy for Liverpool against a struggling Burnley. Burnley are no longer the side to fear when playing them at their home ground.

Meh.
There are midweek fixtures, just in case you guys didn't know.  Wink  It could be an unpredictable set of matches imo cos the players could still be slightly fatigued from last weekend's fixtures.

I especially expect the CL/EL teams to take it "easy" this week. Could be a lot of goals scored or almost none at all. Will be interesting, that's for sure Cheesy

Fantastic, bloody fantastic. Watching the match on CNBC so not the best commentary but we still got a lot of action on both ends. Derby Day, but it was going to need something a bit special to take away some spotlight from Arsenal's hammering of Spurs in London... who else but a supersub from Liverpool to snatch all 3 points at the end? A weird Alisson pass free kick to I think Trent... cross for VVD (!) to try a volley (I know you last scored like that for Netherlands but oh Dijk) which was heading out until poor Pickford palms it back into play... Should/neck score from Origi.

Luckiest win of all season by far and if the commentator was right, Liverpool extended their record for most Premier League goals scored in injury time.

I said before the game I miss heavy metal Kloppball but these types of wins are what seem to carry teams across the line.

@LFC you're still top of our leaderboard, amazing form.
