^  I think it's better to wait til the CL matches are done.  There could be injuries among the clubs playing.  And sometimes a loss could spill over to the league.

You can always change the scores just as long as you don't lock them in. I normally wait until the end of the week when all the pundits start making their predictions and compare them against mine. Sometimes I'll tweak them accordingly but I like to stick to my guns. I usually do better than the actual pundits overall. Beat Lawro last year I think.

Anyway, I got a wooden spoon a week ago.  It's like the opposite of the yellow cap.  Lololol.

Prize or no prize you did very well regardless slaman. Is that your 2nd yellow cap in our pool now?
I’m still trying to get my first one unfortunately, having lots of fun competing against you assholes though Cheesy

I’ve done by predictions for the next round of fixtures already Smiley

Did anyone notice slaman had 6 exact scores? One more and you would have won 550 pounds! Free premier league jersey isn't too bad either!

I didn’t notice that but damn, congrats slaman. If he was from the UK & had repeated that feat on Sky Super 6 predictions he’d have won £250,000.

Well he would have if they were all on the three o'clock kick-offs. It's much easier to get six results out of ten games as opposed to just the six.

Free premier league jersey isn't too bad either! This pool definitely more exciting and lots of chances to win.

I think they only give the prizes out to the top users over all the site, which is a bit shit. So there would only be one winner site-wide, so if somebody else got five scores but got more points or something then they get the jersey. I could be wrong but I think that's how it works and obviously makes your chances of winning anything very slim.

Wow, thanks a lot guys! I didn't notice it either because I got the email saying 5/9 and forgot there was one last match last night which I got exact 2-1. Actually I made 4 wrong predictions, and I changed the West Ham win as well as the Everton win, but also I changed others to 2-0 and all my 2-0s hit, as well as both last 2-1s, so I shouldn't complain. In Week 1 I tied highest scores, happy to get it again in Week 7, but still there are 3 people above me who got more than 19 points so every round must be fought very hard to win the top 5 of this pool.

250k buys me retirement for me and my family here haha!

No email from Superbru for my prize, too bad I support Barcelona, not sure which team to take.

It is not nice to praise yourself, but I can't resist. I managed to actually get right the results of all games this weekend except from Man Utd one in predictor. And I even got that one right in the bookies because I played West Ham 1x. Now I am really pissed with myself because I finished the weekend with positive 0 and could have had a shitload of money if I believed a bit more in my predictions.

Congrats to Slaman I thought that 18 points should have been more than enough for yellow cap but he managed to get 19.

@Welsh it was indeed a close game and full of nice moves with last ditch defending on both ends, surprised you read some saying it was a boring game. Also surprised no one chastised Wijnaldum's terrible back pass that Alison cleaned up. Espn rated Salah and Bobby the lowest, which was probably fair, but as I said earlier, if this is the worst Liverpool plays and we still scraped a point (at the Bridge no doubt), then I am pleased.

@LFC good good games and you're steadily getting your grip on top spots, and you're right the Reds had a genuinely hard gauntlet to run, and they've acquitted themselves so far. I'm hoping Napoli stirs them ahead of City, would be sweet to reclaim top spot with a win.

Looking at the gap between 1st and 10th gives me hope i can still break in... Just got to stop making speculative shock results heh.

Well the week that started as a nightmare ended up being the best for me so far with 4 correct scores 2 close ones and 1 correct result. It shows how much fun is to play the EPL, I just got the 4 correct score with tonight game of Bournemouth.

Just watched the highlights of the Chelsea vs Liverpool game. I got the impression that it was a boring game from some of the comments made by supporters. Seemed to me like a decent game. Alison saving some crucial shots, and Liverpool really not taking their chances yet. I think if Salah shakes off this rust he's currently playing with, and the front 3 click before the Man City game then they'll get through these hard fixtures just fine. Sturridge has come back at the right time, and seems to be finding a bit of confidence. I know he missed an open goal mid week against Chelsea, but more than made up for it with that goal on the weekend. What a beauty.

^  But isn't the 'underperforming Salah' a factor as well?  If he was firing and getting his shots in like last year then maybe they'd won the match?

And that Sturridge goal.  What a beauty.

It’s not clicking for him at the moment, is it. I think he’s probably too good a player to continue looking out of sorts though. Two big games this week for Salah to try & play himself into form. We have Napoli away in the CL on Wednesday & then a massive game vs Man City at Anfield on the weekend.

Our fixture list has been ridiculous over the last month but we’ve done really well.

Tottenham 1-2 Liverpool (EPL)
Liverpool 3-2 PSG (Champions League)
Liverpool 3-0 Southampton (EPL)
Liverpool 1-2 Chelsea (Carabao Cup - who cares, both teams made 8-9 changes)
Chelsea 1-1 Liverpool (EPL)

Napoli vs Liverpool (Champions League)
Man City vs Liverpool (EPL)

I doubt we’ll have a tougher run of games all season now.

I think they're always going to be close. Last year's was as well. I think this years will be even closer because people get an extra half a point for a close score. Also, don't forget there's still five consolation prizes where you can win your money back for being in the top five highest scorers from a round so there's always something to play for. Not sure who the top five are right now but it's easy enough to work out.

This pool is more enjoyable due to just that.

Had 1-1 for Cardiff vs Burnley and doubly annoyed at that Burnley winning goal because I put my free £5 bet on three draws: That game, Liverpool/Chelsea (which had already come in) and today's Bournemouth v Crystal Palace which I expect to be close.

Well I thought to have done horrendously this week but now that I counted the points I have 3 exact correct scores, Tottenham, Chelsea and Burnely today. I am 16 on the leaderboard but with only just 10 points difference to the leader, this shows how tight things already are here and we only left round 7 behind.

On a side note congrats to LFC_Bitcoin for climbing up to almost first place  Grin

Thanks bro, it’s a really competitive pool this season. There will be lots of twists & turns. Anybody in the top 20 can win it. We’ll see what happens but as always I’m trying my hardest.

^It really is close at the top. One exceptional week or one good week combined with poor weak from current leaders and a lot of us could find ourselves at the top. I had a good week mainly due to a lot of close results too bad there wasn't more exact scores Smiley

The results were mostly as expected. If only Lpool and Chelsea scored another goal (I had both to score and over 2.5) it would have been a great week at the bookies as well. This way I am about even.

Lololol.  I just saw LFC_Bitcoin's prediction for the West Ham - Man United match...  The first thought that went in my head was:  'I can feel the hate flow thru you'.  Lmao.  Cheesy

I do hate them Grin
Mourinho is a cancer at that club at the moment & for their saie needs cutting out before their season is over & it’s still September, 9 points off the top which probably means they’re out of the title race already.

However, haven't seen Sturridges yet or any highlights.

Allow me Smiley

I managed to catch the Hazard goal in a pub we passed. I thought Alison could of probably saved that, and seemed to get fingertips on it. However, haven't seen Sturridges yet or any highlights. What's the verdict guys? Liverpool looking strong still or do you think they've got some work cut out for them?

Honestly, I was expecting them to beat Chelsea with a full squad.

Last night was a fair draw, and like you, I was expecting a Pool win but I'm not too disappointed. Maybe I'm wearing Red-tinted glasses but:

1. One moment of Hazard brilliance, another of Sturridge brilliance. Sort of a repeat of mid-week.
2. Both teams played full strength, but the Reds actually played worse than they have been in previous games. Mo Salah still shrugging off rust and Ramos smackdown. Mane still a bit off the mark. Firminho industry wasn't matched by either wing today. Credit to Chelsea for limiting our usual rampaging wingbacks, and they did make Wijnaldum look a bit nervous but if this is their best against our poor form, then we can take a lot of confidence that we can do better - just to bring our form back!

On this round's performance, I did badly, yet again backing the wrong underdog (though I did better betting-wise). Except for the West Ham game, every other game went the bookie's way, so I'm actually surprised we didn't get anyone above 15 points this week. Look at you toke, all 1 game away from winning yellow cap!
