We simply haven't done enough so far, United's defending easily. Hopefully we switch to higher gears soon, the more we wait, the more nervous we're gonna get.
That did not happen, and Arsenal remain at the top of the league for the weekend. A big chance to go 4 points clear of Liverpool next week.

Great comeback from Villa yet again, have they got what it takes? Grin
They are already 5 points clear of Spurs, and 9 from Newcastle for the CL spots. If they continue like this, they do deserve it.
It is always ironic to me to have clubs close and around the top, but they cannot be called title challengers yet, at best people wonder if they can make it to the top four. The premier league is now so open, with fewer defined "top teams" that it is easier for other teams to creep into the top of the table.

Derby games are never easy, no matter where the teams are.

I read somewhere that the aggregate score on Anfield in the last 10 games (or years, not sure) is 36-2. Sounds insane, and paints the wrong picture. We did spank them a lot recently, but we'll still have to play close to our best football to win tonight.

We only care about City losing points. How and why is not the discussion. Arsenal is just a matter of time. Let's hope we do not lose points against Utd. I hate Utd but can we expect another 7 - 0 win against them? I will be happy even if it is a 1 - 0 win against Utd.

I am all for Brighton today 😉
I do not care either, but I hugely disagree on the Arsenal bit. The visit to Anfield will be our true test this season, if we win that and to go top of the league, it will be laying down a huge marker for the other tittle contenders, I really do not know who those are yet... Villa in there too?

The first half against Brighton was all Arsenal, except on the score sheet. No pressure though, there is enough time to nick in one goal or two.

City losing potential points is the only entertain that we can ask for. We all know how dominant they could be so well atleast now the winner of the league is not really certain yet. I also honestly think Aston Villa has a good chance this season so the ideal outcome for today would be Arsenal to lose against Brighton then Liverpool got a 0-0 draw with Manchester United while Aston Villa win against Brentford to take the #1 spot  Tongue

4 wins in a row, all with clean sheets, Everton is trying to resemble Cannavaro's Italy from 2006
and we are now above Forest, even with 10 points deduction

shame on me, didn't expect fourth win in a row, so had a draw in a pool (it was a mere hedge, but should know better)

City lost two more points, and all after 2:0 lead, that is not how titles are won

my hopes are with Tom Lockyer and Luton, that he will make it, one more situation that should not happen in football

I need to root for a new team in EPL and after La Liga not looking bright for me, I wonder if Everton is really doing something here. Villa takes the cake for sure, smashing it against the 2 best teams in the league but I need to see them dominate games all the time (they didn't versus Arsenal). Everton actually were doing that, just not getting the points. Now it is finally happening so stats finally reflecting points.

I just read about Lockyer, how is it it happened to him now 2 or 3 times, he should be getting surgery and not playing football Sad

Aston Villa is on a real test now in today game as they are going to be playing away against a team who does relatively well when playing at home stopping many strong teams there. If Aston Villa wins today that means that they truly are in a super hot position to be fighting for the league title after so many years of not being able to be this high in the standings after near half of the season.

Everton is doing relatively well in most games except the games against Manchester United where they did not show anything at all there.Liverpool I think it has a really low odd tonight against Manchester United as despite they will most likely win the odd of 1.37 is something on the lower side.

This is no where near the ruthless city we are used to seeing in recent years. And it is not down to injuries, they have been one of the least hit by injuries this season when compared to other top teams in the league, they just seem to have won too much and can no longer find that spark and hunger to battle for the title. 1 win in 6 games, and against a relegation side is a terrible statistic.

Winning the champions league may have been what gave them that feeling of satisfaction. For as long as it evaded them, they were hungry to win it, and once they did, that hunger was satisfied.

There is still a long way to go in the season to turn things around.

No doubt currently every Liverpool fan is excited with their performance as they are feeling another title is coming and today match is also important with most chances we will have 3–1 or 4–2 even result you are asking for is also on cards because Manchester United is playing like crap and Liverpool can give them another big humiliating defeat which can bring ten hag more trouble.

Manchester City is surely on setback with too many points loses, and now they are waiting for the transfer window which can bring some improvement after injury of Haaland, but now things are going out of their reach but still today Aston Villa is also important for this.

Yup, I have to say I never saw it coming. I argued with Trofo at some point that you are playing awful - which you actually were Grin
I still don't trust this form you're in, United hammered you not so long ago. The next 2 league games will put you to the real test - I think you lose both while conceding 5+ goals.

That being said, City didn't look that good today. I hope your good form continues and you help us in our title challenge.
Expected data is terrible for predicting any single game but in the long run of games it sort of always comes back to the mean. Everton was recording solid data in all those games they lost and they should have done much better in some of them. When United hammered them I would argue that Everton was actually better team on the pitch.

I was just saying that Everton is not an easy opponent even though a lot of people were putting them in same basket with teams like Sheffiled and Luton.

I was expecting this win, but sadly I predicted 1–2, and we have another clean sheet for them which is impressive and four wins streaks is also good with 10 points deducting hurt them badly, but again they are out of the relegation zone with most chances now they will be stayed here for some more weeks, but next game is not easy as they will visit to London where Tottenham is waiting for them.
Again good day for me just one match gone wrong and this also happen to many others as no one were expecting Manchester City will do business like this hopefully today all big will win and difference of points will increase for them from fourth spotted Manchester City which is good for until end of this season.

The ten-point deduction was just what you guys needed to turn around your season; a five-game unbeaten streak while keeping a clean sheet is a tremendous improvement for a shitty team like Eveton. You guys are lucky the deduction came early in the season and not in mid-March or April, as it would have been a tremendous tragedy.

Tom Lockyer should think about retiring and taking care of his health; two collapses in less than six months is not a good indications. He is currently responding to treatment.

I have made a combined betslip consisting of the score predictions I made on Superbru. I wonder how Manchester City are going to play without Haaland. Since Pep came I haven't ever seen Manchester City having this much difficulty. Guardiola must be happy the most that Manchester City aren't going to play a match in the Premier League next week. Today Chelsea are going to play against one of the weakest teams of the league Sheffield United. I think they will win comfortably. However I wouldn't be surprised from now on if there is another surprise as Chelsea have misguided me many times this season.

...but I am in two minds about Newcastle. Ragged and broken, Almiron dragging his body across the line most games recently, while Fulham have been finding some great connections across their forwards...

A draw seems likely but Fulham maybe has the edge here?
They have been out of form and out of sorts, I will call them the most hit by the schedule of matches, so in the bright side of things, dropping out of European football all together could be good for them in the long run. They can focus on the league and build momentum to take them into the top four again. But before they can fix up the team, they have to face high flying Fulham first.

Perfectly balanced games sometimes make a draw look attractive, but I just cannot see it in this match, with Newcastle being at home.

Their performance is unpredictable in last few matches, but this match can give them good confidence, and they can fight back for the improvement with their home advantage is also going to help they never lost at home in last few games which is also good, and now it's time for them to fightback after bad time.
First game gives good response in this week hopefully I will be having good points again after last week and today going with Newcastle United because I believe they can win this match by 2–1 which will bring them above of Manchester United which is going to face leaders Liverpool for another thumbing lost.

Did all of my picks with ease yesterday, gut was good enough and Spurs delivered 3 points so I'm very pleased but I am in two minds about Newcastle. Ragged and broken, Almiron dragging his body across the line most games recently, while Fulham have been finding some great connections across their forwards. Harry our old boy really settling in but even Willian is contributing with limited minutes. The latter won't play today nursing a hamstring but Jimenez is also one of my old favourites keen to relight his fire.

A draw seems likely but Fulham maybe has the edge here?

@Igebotz shitty odds from a book I'll never use but happy to put down a 1mbtc sidebet on ETH sack before 1 Jan. It means nothing but one United manager oversaw their last games as defeats to Klopp's Liverpool.Hate the stat but Klopp has done this to at least 5 managers already in 7 EPL seasons. Tough!

That is what explain why bookies give Newcastle 1.84 as odds in today game while they are playing at home against Fulham and honestly based on the two teams overall performance Newcastle should have had a 1.55 odd as a maximum in normal conditions.I assume bookies know more than us and sometimes give the exact odds like they need to compared to other times where they play tricks on us by intentionally increasing the odds of the favorite teams.

Tottenham for me did what they needed to do yesterday night and get the three points home and it was a very much needed relief after them failing so many games to achieve a victory before that game.
