City and Liverpool ended equal, and my round is really week, expected some other results

but main feat for me was a plane that was paid by Everton fans, that was flying above Etihad with a "Premier League = Corrupt" sign, will be interesting to see EPL reaction on that and annouced decoration on Goodison tomorrow, with all red plates and same sentence

Luton win over Crystal Palace saw them four points above relegation line

Ouch, what a round. I picked 5/7 wrong outcomes so far. Luckily it's the same for y'all.
It has been that type of week which was impossible to predict. Anyone who had even a decent week will fly up the table as every other person will look stagnant to them.
Besides the wrong results it has been an amazing week of football. Really surprised with Newcastle and Luton, did not expect both clubs to take all three points.

I was quite happy with Liverpool's performance today - a stupid, stupid goal but otherwise we did ok.
I did not expect Newcastle with so many injuries to walk over Chelsea - but Chelsea is a cointoss team this season. You never know what kind of performance they're gonna give.

You are not the only one i picked all of them wrong thankfully i got 2 right and they were correct results bad i am mad that i didnt pick 1-1 for Man City Livepool match i knew that some players wouldnt play for City and forgot to change the results. But a good thing i made a difference on the first place so this ended up as a good round.

It's a pity that Liverpool didn't win, but the fact that City lost 66.6% of possible points today is also great  Cheesy
I'm glad that today I chose Newcastle's win despite the fact that Chelsea were slightly favorites, because I was sure that Newcastle's losing streak could not be so serious, and Chelsea's successful streak could not be so solid. But who could have imagined that Newcastle would win with such a score! So unfortunately I will only get 1 point here. By the way, it turns out that Chelsea conceded 8 goals in 2 games, not a very good figure for those who already thought that Chelsea had “returned”.

I didn't put much attention to the fact that Chelsea conceded 4 goals against Manchester City as that game was a real open one and both teams were playing really well so I did bet on Chelsea win or draw here thinking exactly the opposite of you that Newcastle is in a much weaker recent form and as such I lost my ticket, well done on your win as who would have thought Newcastle to win 4-1,in the pool I also put a 1-1 draw so lost in both ways.

I do still think that Chelsea has returned and the game of tonight was only a really bad luck night which can happen to any team and I believe Chelsea will be back to winning ways as soon as the next game.

Chelsea is already getting better, maybe the acute phase of the crisis has passed, but even if they continue to progress, having 16 points after 13 rounds, it’s hard for me to imagine a situation that they will be able to enter the top 4. Any other result in the championship (given that Chelsea does not play in European competition and can focus on one task) would be an obvious failure.

It’s a pity that you lost your bet, but the results are often illogical, and I try to predict such “illogicalities” (which gives an advantage in terms of odds). I proceed from the fact that it cannot be “everything is bad” or, on the contrary, “too good,” although regarding the "bad" in last season Chelsea seems to have been able to refute my thesis  Grin

Manchester City already scored the first goal and I think I was expecting much more from Liverpool during this game but from what I am seeing for me the game is already over unless Klopp manages to motivate them in the break enough to come back in the game,so far I am not liking what I am seeing from them.
The game is far from over. As we saw in the final minutes of the first half, Liverpool could easily have one attack, a goal and the wind shifts to their sail changing the whole dynamics of the match.

I will not blame Liverpool much for their performance, Manchester City is just that team, especially when they push defenders into midfield and get that player overload, they can be impossible to play against.
Liverpool defended decent except for the goal where they made it too easy for Ake to get into space and find the pass after Allison's error.

Halland to 50 in 48 games is just ridiculous.

I’m glad the international break is over, not looking forward to Man City being our opponent though. I would shake hands on a draw and be very happy if you offered it me right now.

I hate playing Man City away, we have a terrible record there. No wins in the league since 2015, maybe it can change Saturday.
Remember they are without Haaland as he injured himself during a friendly from what I remember while checking the team stats right before I made my predictions for this week.

I'm guessing you fell victim to Pep's mind game as well. Halaand merely had a small ailment and didn't want to risk it for a non-important game. He's back in training and getting set to face Liverpool this weekend.

I predict a low-scoring first half, so I'm going for a BTS in the second half or the second-highest scoring half on this one. Two of the league's shiest and best attacks.
Yeah, the old man does that yet again. But I didn't fall victim to his ways.
Luckily I had put in my predicts in the new superbru app so they do not lock your selections. Rode it like that for the entire week and with the old app checked them just now and revised the picks.
Just as you had said, Haaland had only a minor injury during the Faroe Island match.
So picked a City victory just like everybody else in the pool after locking my selections. A few see a draw of course but see it a high scoring affair.

This is like a final more for Liverpool than Manchester City and they are not responding back with how they should for this game,it may become a high scoring affair as I also have it Over 2.5 in my bet and 2-1 in the pool prediction but things are not looking good for Liverpool at all right now.

Both defences aren't good enough, and both forwards are really good. It looks like a goal garlor fixture to me, but maybe I'm missing something.
They are two of three teams with the least conceeded goals this season, the third is Arsenal.
I know this is not only due to their defensive prowess, keeping the ball reduces the number of attacks the defense faces and by effect the number of goals they let in, but they have very solid defense.

At Liverpool, Van Dijk has been Van Dijk, not committing to many challenges, but decent in the defense, Matip has been very good in the absence of Konate, and Jarell Quansah was good in the absence of Matip. Tsimikas has been the weak link for Liverpool all season.
Diaz, Akanji and Stones has been solid for City with the full backs also doing the job.

For me both defences are good enough.

They lost against Brentford them somehow won against Tottenham so that was pretty weird or a fluke for Chelsea but anyway that game could have ended 3-4 for City if it wasnt for that last minute penalty so that was pretty close

Chelsea winning over Tottenham was one-time-shot
but Tottenham lost much more than those three points on that Monday night

Chelsea got some self-confidence, that is probably up more with a point against City, will be interesting to see them against injured Newcastle, could be a good game
while City and Liverpool game should bring goals, can't expect to see them on goalless, or low scoring match, should be fire, and while City is a favorite, match can go on any side, IMO

So is he out or not? Well not really that matters on superbru because I think Im set with draw option of 1-1 on this game but I will put him out of my fantasy team if he is not gonna start

The best way to play Manchester is to destroy their confidence in the first half, which Chelsea did. If they lead at the first half, Liverpool's chances of keeping them quiet in the second half are low.

I think Chelsea really caught them off guard, City was favourite to win and Chelsea was pretty unstable back then. I somehow think it will be a a game of which defence comes out on top and not which attack will be better, they will both be brilliant as usual. Contrary to expected performances, I will fancy a low scoring game, won and lost by less than one goal difference and under 3.5 in general.

Hopefully we can go in at half time level at 0-0. City always seem to start really fast and try to score early. If we can keep them out for the first half, we have better attacking options off the bench than them. Guess we will start with Jota-Nunez-Salah (current form suggests). Bringing on Luis Diaz and Gakpo from 60 mins onwards could hurt them.

I would be happier if Rodri is a sent than Haaland. They struggle when he is not there anchoring the midfield.

The easiest approach to stop Rodri from dominating the midfield is to put pressure on him to drop back. If you allow City to play a high line, it will be tough to stop Rodri's masterclass.

Finally the international break is over, I also hate that these matches always result in player problems for the club, but fortunately Liverpool players are still in good shape and they are ready to face Manchester City at the weekend.

Rest assured the mystery will be solved on Saturday. I have faith and bet on Liverpool they are ready for away even though it will be a nightmare too.

Liverpool will have to keep the blues quiet early on for the match to get more balanced.

Same way Liverpool have a good record against Man city when they play at Anfield, heck, Liverpool have a good record against everyone at home. I think Liverpool have only lost once to City at home since 2016.
Same way I will expect City to come out on top at the Etihad this Saturday. It will take a crazy effort from the reds to be able to come away with three points this weekend and go top of the table.

It is awesome to have league football back.

Same i hate the international break and i think its really bad. But i would avoid somehow Man City this week with 2 injuries. Without Haaland and Rodri it wont be easy for them to win against a tough opponent. This round will be intresting because some teams dont look really good and after the break things dont go the right way.
