didn't expect such a win for USA against Mexico, but as already said, red cards have more highlights than scoring on that much

interesting odds on Spain against Croatia, expected it to be more equally distributed, and bookies are seeing Spain as clear favorites (which makes Croatia a value bet), not sure about chances dough, seems pretty equal to me, Spain has young team that will have more chances, Croatia has experience and this could be a last dance for some of players

I don't know why the bookies see Spain as that big favorite. After seeing how Spain played yesterday, I agree that the odds should be equal. I have a feeling that Croatian players are more hyped about winning this competition than other teams. OK, Netherlands players were probably hyped too because they are hosting it, but they failed against Croatia.

Croatia were the underdogs among the four teams to be honest so its normal for them to have a bigger odd than Spain who are seems as one of the favorite to win the cup. i have Spain to win and Netherland to win Italy for the third place on the spreadsheet but i will be putting some money on Croatia to win. a win win situation for me either way.

I don't even know If I had overrated Mexico or undermined USA, maybe a mixture of both was my deciding factor, but there goes another edge to my opponent  Angry

The Mexico team had long since fallen off, and I knew they would be easy prey for the USA team, which had some of the best young talent. If I had gotten Croatia BTTS on the second question, it would have been game over by now.

WTF??? This is some new rule or something? Is it just in CONCACAF or in all football? Because there are many anti-something chants in Europe and I have never seen a football game cancelled because of that. The only penalty for that is opening a disciplinary procedure for the nation/club whose fans were involved.

I wasn't aware of these new rules either BUT I do know that something similar happened from this season in Eredivise on crowd disturbances -- in Dutch football's case, hooliganism is the problem creeping back up so they decided to do something about it. One game pause to allow the club/stadium to try and keep things under control. But after restart, if a second incident happens, then the game is called off. I don't know the exact details but I believe one match was called off already for those circumstances.

I think US also has some kind of rule for halting/forfeiting matches if crowd ignores ref warnings, but that shouldn't apply to internationals. Don't know enough about Concacaf to be honest but I suspect Mexico is a repeat offender with this abusive chanting, and they take it to some extremes, so they probably tried to crack down on it.

Slissy has Spain as the champions... it's one of only two answers we have different, so I'm going to be rooting (and probably betting, due to value odds) for Croatia.

Re all favs winning: I went for yes, which is quite unlike me as I always insist among the favourites on match day, one has to not win. Fortunately for me, Slissy also chose yes.

Try to see you guys on ClubTalk later!

When it comes to the 5th question related to Euro qualifiers the only team I'm a little worried about is Turkey. Because Latvia has been a really challenging team for them for a long time. When I checked their head-to-head history I saw that Turkey won only once in 6 official matches.

Same here, but the Turkish team is on the rise recently and I decided to go with Yes. My first instinct was to go with No, so let's see if my faith in them makes sense Grin

I was also indecisive about picking one of them but my instincts said "Go for yes!" to me.  Grin  There have been many times one's first instinct really happens but maybe this isn't such time and we will both win.  Grin

USA defeated Mexico and I'm really happy with it. I was expecting a quite competitive score rather than 3-0 though. It was a match with so many incidents and cards as well. I counted 9 yellow cards and 4 red cards which is really insane. The red card amount is divided in half for each team by the way otherwise I don't know what more could have happened in this match.

I saw the stats and was wondering what the hell was going on.

They lost McKennie and Dest for the final vs Canada, they are among their best players and it is really unusual to receive 2 red cards in the situation in which the game is already won (especially in Dest's case).
That could be a nice bet on Canada in final. I guess odds are still on USA side, did not check it yet.

Got both correct yesterday but most of us did so no actual advantage from that. Decider questions are coming soon though.

By the way guys, I have BSFL chat on Sporstbet clubhouse chat today at 4 PM GMT, so come pop up and hang out with fellow players. There will also be a chance for 10$ free bet.

That was some ugly side of football affairs between USA and Mexico, Christian Pulisic had already done majority of the damage for USA team, before the be game a MMA sport in the 2nd half alone, 8 Yellow card and 4 Red Cards in just under 30 minutes to end of the game, I can't recall any football match such as ugly with a basement level fair play and sportsmanship being on display.

Two big things happened in the USA-Mexico game last night. Firstly, US beat Mexico huge. Three goals is not unusual for US team but lately they have been struggling even against small teams and even in friendlies, but this was a big statement.

That wasn't even the biggest event however because there were FOUR red cards and 2 good players will miss the final.

And that wasn't even the biggest headline because the ref stopped the game before allocated time due to antigay chants (game was paused, as per new rules, and then cancelled if chants continue).

Maybe some of the straight game predictions should be turned into head to head with more than one or two things to predict(for example: result, goals over/under, cards and corners), so if you get one only thing wrong you won't risk losing it all if you are unluck enough and people that get more things right will get the point they deserve( I honestly think that people that predicted BTTS yes but got the result wrong did better than those who predicted both options wrong).

We have a few of these as well, but some things are intentionally hard to guess.
You'll see some questions with only 2 options and then some with 4 or 5. Some H2H questions are easier, some are harder.

That is meant to be like that - so that we don't get really high scores. And also because getting these questions correct gives a real advantage.

Well... After not watching the Croatia - Netherlands game and after watching yesterday's excruciatingly boring game between Spain and Italy, I must say that I understand why the UEFA Nations League is considered as a little more than a friendly tournament. I must admit that I watched the first 60 minutes or so, but it was boring as f*ck so I went to put my kids to sleep. That was much more interesting than the game Grin

But I see that Spain winning against Italy got me to a 2-2 score against Darxiaomi so I'm still happy. To me it looks like Croatian players have the biggest desire to win the title. At least it is bigger than with Italy and Spain players.

I was hoping for a 1-0 or 2:0 score line because the Netherlands has been awful for a while now, but at least a Croatia win gives me an advantage on the number 9 question; now I just need Spain to win to give me an edge against Harko!

Those difficult questions are what make the league more competitive, and I want it to stay that way.

Edit: Spain won!!!

Quite an edge you might have there, but then I'm sure I really don't care much about H2H predictions especially ones that I know that are very complicated, I really just go with my instinct and we've got much more question differentials that'd likely decide out fates, I strongly doubt we'd play out a draw for the any of the H2H to be more significant than just 1 point advantage, but those edges are something that I would also really like to hold onto just like you right now   Roll Eyes

The 1-1 tie between me and arallmuus goes on for now. But the next two questions can make some difference in the score for us.  Grin  USA - Mexico match is in a couple of hours and USA are the favourite side @2.26. It might be a really close competition between these two teams but hopefully USA can win this. They were quite impressive in the last World Cup.

No no it's not ganna be like yesterday(right?) . Italy is not ready imo. Spain should find a way to the final. Maybe in OT or penalties but still... 1-1 draw also looks good to me

I see the vast mayority of the pool backing Spain in today game, i was very doubtfull in my pick but i dont expect to see so few picks to Italy. I ended choosing Italy (asides of the bad run italian footbal its having in finals Tongue ) because i dont fully trust this "new" Spain team , i dont know how they play.

Btw, I wanted to watch the highlights and I'm not sure if I'm stupid or what, but YouTube is full of highlights recorded on a Playstation. I even saw one video with Bandicam logo on it... Where do you guys watch the highlights?
Yep, YouTube is swarmed with those fake highlights videos and thanks to YT's ingenious decision to hide number of dislikes, you have to actually waste your time in order to figure out which ones are fakes instead figuring it out immediately.

Anyway, you missed a greeat game, especially in the 2nd half and from what I can see, no one released highlights as of yet.
