I hope to see a better Adesanya on his next matches and slowly build again his game for another title match or rematch to Pereira. I do notice something wrong to Izzy at that time but I just ignored it because Pereira is just so dominant. Well we never know what’s the truth.
Its the balance, he hurt his peroneal nerve which is why he cannot dance or circle anymore and he was pinned to the cage he knows he is winning but he cannot do what he wants to do and his limited movement was exploited by Alex

I’m just scared if he can overcome this second loss or he will let his career slide down like the typical outcome when topnotch fighter suffer tremendous loss on title match.
Israel is on a 60 days medical suspension and Alex is willing to give him another shot at the title this MMA rematch is very crucial in his career and has a huge impact on his legacy in MMA but I guess Alex will have his first defense before facing Adesanya again, hopefully, Alex is still the champion when they face again.
Did not hear he had a severe injury that can affect him so immensely in the octagon such as a peroneal nerve handicap.

I knew Pereira going in had something wrong with him prior to the main event because he did not look like himself like every other challenge he had thus far.
It was confirmed late yesterday he had a hand injury (a finger actually) which shouldn't have interfered with his performance.

That specific incident really gave him a disadvantage on the fight because he cannot be himself anymore and be agile as he's partly injured in an early phase of the fight. Which also gave Pereira a chance to finish the fight directly while Adensanya was still having a hard time on his situation, some people said that the referee decided way too early but I heavily oppose that opinion. If they only saw the slow-motioned replay, the referee just stopped the fight in a perfect time because if that same referee was late for even just a mere milliseconds, Adesanya would've been sleeping in the canvass already because Pereira was about to give him an uppercut.

But, I do I want Adesanya to have his chance to re-claim his title. I hope this time it will be a much more interesting fight with no early injuries.

With Pereira who won the middleweight title, all these contenders are coming out calling him out on media saying they want a shot at him next.
Unfortunately that isn't how it works, the ultimate one who has the word on that is the head of the UFC. Dana White will announce who he will fight next.
His post fight interview he did have alot to say and even says he was going through some issues before the fight.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_1N87X1aUI

But that doesn't change that he still lost and in the worst way, half-way through the fifth and final round.

Yeah any reason will not gonna change the result but I still respect the guy for being a great champion because he never back down no matter who is the contender unlike other champ that cherry picking his opponent. I’m sure this a lesson learned for him since he doesn’t have the belt anymore and less weight on his shoulder to carry on his next fight.

Not the most entertaining match if I may say, but Pereira took it in the end and that's all that matters.
Some highlights from the match in case someone missed it:

No man, the date has been set less than 12 hours ago as it had been announced already.

It was just a friendly (not serious/no terms set as in amounts) and just a one off. Cheesy
It's done and not to be predicted/discussed about any longer as it has been taken off and we move on now.

So the fight is set and it is three months away.

Hey @rdbase. August is here and that means 2 more months till the end of September, which is the deadline for your original take on the much-vaunted possible match between Izzy and Pereira.

That's plenty of time left and I know I've paid up in advance (just as a show of confidence haha).

What do you say to a doubling down with proper terms? But let's swing it around since the fight is actually already confirmed, it's practically a given, how bout some easy money for you?

15/1 odds with a 10mbtc stake is my offer.

Izzy-Pereira to fight for the title by 30 September: I pay 150mbtc.

Izzy-Pereira do NOT fight for the title by 30 September: you pay 10 mbtc.

Yeah buwaytress. It was just a friendly wager and having popcorn thrown at me was accepted as nothing was set up.
If it were a set in stone and a serious bet we would have stated the terms.
Such as amount put against those odds. For example, 10mbtc wager at 10/1 and 5mbtc at 15/1 for both of those who put it in their post.
No one did either.
Also if you had actually took the time to watch the video posted Michael stated that Adesanya had already set a date for him to fight Pereira and did so on his socials. That date has not been revealed only that it was soon.

Yeah it is definitely on. @buwaytress

Don't spend the winnings till the end of September Wink

buwaytress, dude, you paid out on a bet you didn’t lose (not yet at least).

rdbase said Izzy would fight Pereira "by the end of the summer."

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.59472771

Yes, thanks for restating the rules my man -- rdbase only wins if the fight happens by September.

I actually want to also state that there's no bet that ever took place, since no stake was even ever mentioned.

Nevertheless, this one a wee bit personal for me, to consider this matter closed for good Wink

I dunno about you guys but my post clearly stated that Adesanya will not fight Pereira "by the end of the summer."

That’s the 10-1 odds I was offering, not that they’d never fight.

My post says he would fight someone like Jared "submission machine" Cannonier this summer, which he did.

Everyone knows Pereira was brought into the UFC to eventually fight Izzy; I just said Izzy wouldn't fight him by the "end of the summer” (which is like 3 more UFC PPVs).

Summer ends in what, September? Izzy is not going to defend his title in 2 months time after only fighting so recently.

Bisping who is a veteran in the UFC and a former fighter in the octagon who is actually are one of the commentators during a few matches including the one last weekend. He announced it on his channel about 24 hours ago.
So expect it sooner than most would expect it to be.

Here is the link to that video and his prediction on how it will all come down:

Now I definitely know I've been losing enough now that I actually recognise all three names here (and not Pereira's)!

Sorry to muscle in on the action, brother, but can I take a pop at this with rdbase at 15/1?

#justkiddingnotreally

Though nothing was ever confirmed, and certainly not any amount, I like making good on my calls. rdbase agreed I'd have bet $5 on it (my betting thread at the time also has my base bet at 0.2mbtc). So I already sent rdbase $75 in BTC today.

The fight hasn't been hard confirmed and there's no link to confirm it plus I don't know enough about the sport to really dig into it. So paying up first to put this to bed.

Well done rdbase.

Just noticed a video on Adesanya's track to the champion titles that he received going from the form of kickboxing to top tier fighting MMA.
"Israel Adesanya And The Dark Side Of Becoming Champion | UFC Documentary" by Mixed Martial Academic
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5xmBsM2d4o

This is his life story up until now and there is alot of footage shown of him getting knocked out by Pereira which we have all seen a millions times by now. But this film which was released three weeks or so ago shows his lifestyle back in home of Nigeria and how he had it easy as his family was in one of those gated off communities so he never really seen poverty.
Interesting little tidbits to gather of the current champ before his next fight.
Whomever that maybe.. Dana?!? Grin

Congratulations to both the party involved, Stake is a great platform, to be honest. They are presenting our community in a really good way.
About Israel, I haven't watched any of his fights but more people like him coming into this industry is a great thing. Adoption! Smiley
