It is a raffle, you need to have at least 1 ticket in order to have a chance to win it on the drawing time. How to get ticket? Wager $1,000 for 1 ticket, the more you wager the more tickets you get then it means the higher your chance to win it. If you are a big gambler, you have better chance but if you are just a recreational gambler like me, it is still a good chance as there are 50 consolation prize worth $1,000 each. Dont hope too much for the lambo

You cant say that Stake would be on having that loss of that lambo amount yet we know on how promotions do work and its just normal that those would be add up on marketing expenses but to the amount
that had been generated by said competition would be more that on what we do expect which would be sufficient on covering up all the expense which is pretty normal for a gambling business.
For that 0.000001% chance then theres still probability but you do need all the luck in the world for you to hit up the pot. lol
About shipment of lambo prize then i would definitely prefer on converting it out to bitcoins yet shipping out into my country would be pain in the ass which would really sum up to 20% of the actual value of the car.

These races are becoming more like the main attraction at stake, and they have been for a long time, I understand the new Lambo thing because let's face it, you can't just have mega race all the time and have absolutely zero new things, you have to add new big huge things like a Lambo, it is a HUUUGE thing we are talking about, above 200k dollars or so, that is really a no joke, I do not remember anything even remotely closer to that in stake, there is really nothing that could be compared at all.#Megarace

Stake is a serious company, they are not one of those "we two friends built one" type of place, if they ever wanted to sell, it would be tens of millions of dollars worth at least, so it makes sense that they want to grow it a lot bigger and that happens with a lot bigger investments.

Skill based games are skill based and not against the house, as long as there is a house edge involved it is not skill based. Sportsbetting may require a bit of skill such as knowing what you are betting on instead of just randomly clicking and certainly requires more than simple stuff like dice or anything, but it is still against the house so it is not skill related it is still against a house edge which means in the long run you will lose that as well.
On the other side if you play games like poker for example, there is no reason for you to lose, there is no house edge, you basically go player versus player and that is why I think it is skill based. I don't know if I made myself clear enough, skill based games are usually using your skill only, not any edge or any mathematical challenge ahead of you.

The Sports betting is based on skill and if you participate in the chat Trivia, then you also need some skills and knowledge to win something there. 
I wonder what type of multiplayer games they have in mind? ( It would be nice if it is something like battle Chess ...just a very shorter version of that.)
Problem with anything skill-based is that you want to avoid any huge advantages from a botting/automation perspective. For example, chess engines that have trumped the best players have been around for years and it's only going to get more insane as the ML engines are seeing development as well, like lc0.I wonder what type of multiplayer games they have in mind? Even if it's something novel, if it is worth exploiting, then it will be exploited eventually. Pure skill-based PvP without luck playing a large part (in the core game mechanic, not the metagame strategy) will mean a lot of people developing competitive advantages.

In the interview that was done with them, they mentioned something about multiplayer games that are coming soon. So I reckon it is in development. I will look for the article that was posted and where this was mentioned and then I will post it here.

As much as I like PvP games they're difficult to pull off since it could take time to find another person that's going to accept your bet and with that it could be less profitable for the casino.
Lottery games are pretty easy to pull off, usually. You can even make it non-raffle-style, typical to a regular match-n lotto game.You just simply divide the pay denominations to a percentage of the pool, across all winning tickets. Could easily incorporate a small house edge to the game and it would be reasonable considering how actual lottery tickets have an insane edge. With that in mind, it would totally be reasonable to add some small initial prize and a minimum purchase limit or ticket cost.
Example: flat 'registration fee' of $3 for purchasing tickets that cost $1 each; initial prize fund of $25.
Large enough sites like Stake will have people willing to PvP in those 'winner gets all' lotto games, but let's have some creativity.
Works well for Horse racing already. (parimutuel betting)
Only if they bet small. 100$ safe return is not the biggest promo in my eyes. I m betting 1k/game so I could care less about this promo. You should make it more attractive for higher stakes players, not only for the small ones.

I don't think they're developing a PvP game at the moment.
