Did they make any change to the rules for curating your own posts??

My voting power is around $0.02, and I usually upvote my own post to get some rewards.
But recently, if I'm the only one voting my post I do not receive any curation!!!

Did they change the rewards rules or something?

Received a confirmation-mail, today. But is this a scam? Because linksource says sendgrid not steemit

Yes,it is! Be aware of phishers! SendGrid is an e-mail service, and as far as I know it is not used by Steemit!

Here is a link to the steemit post about such a way of stealing your personal data:

Now there is only bot accounts boosting posts if you pay in advance, Steemit has no real users that share their SP in the site. People either use it for their own posts or delegate to bots.

This is only partially true.

There are many great projects run by real people who share their voting power.  Just check curie and all the subcommunities like steemstem it supports:
https://steemit.com/curie/@curie/curie-weekly-update-11th-february-2018-to-18th-february-2018

I don't want to brag but have a look at my account too if you like (check my signature) I started from zero, with zero contacts and have made over 7.000 + steems for free, which with the current price are more than 28.000 $ in about 7 months. But I put work into my posts and post daily.

Now, if you expect to make millions just by posting memes, yeah you won't go far!

- Hodget twins with over 1.200.000+ subs on youtube: https://steemit.com/@hodgetwins

According to steemit, if you are willing to pay your own signup fee, then there are other ways to create a new account on the blockchain. There is a third-party tool called SteemCreate that accepts credit cards, or BTC to create a Steem account. You do not need to have an existing Steem blockchain account to use the service, but there is a charge on top of the blockchain account creation fee for using the service. Apparently the charge for you to have the account is BTC equivalent to USD 45.00, whats the reason why I should pay to create content ?

So do you somehow make more steem the more steem you have? Is that how it works? Can someone please help me understand how this works?
That would be considered a Ponzi scheme Grin
Amount of steem doesn't impact how much you will earn. You can power up with that steem and get a higher voting power, but the downside is you won't be able to power down for another 2 years after powering up.

Not true though..

Powering down is only like 9 weeks. The 2 year power down was changed about 6 months ago.
Yes, that's true. Powered up steems can be powered down in just 13 weeks (~3 months), Every week you can power down your steem balance's 7.7% And if you keep voting others, you'll get more Steem "curation rewards"...

Agree. Any "normal" user, who gets on Steemit from time to time for content and discussion is effectively losing money not delegating his SP to bot (or leasing to other users).

This can't last.

Certainly this issue of delayed verification should be solved ASAP. Competitors are growing fast in this market, and Steemit should not ignore that. Hopefully things will get better after "VELOCITY" update. But till then you can use https://steemit.chat/channel/help Steemit chat channel for help regarding account verification.

i actually still waiting to my account approved after submitting my phone number

Yeah, that seems to be the general trend for most people. Getting close to 5 days here now.

This is killing Steemit!!!
Not only personal accounts are taking forever! There is also some cryptos that want to get in to Steemit to build a community and can't!!

This way we will never be able to make a stand and take other blog platform places!
Every crypto has a Medium Blog! It could be a Steemit Blog!!!!

Any opinions on minnowbooster?
How does delegating to bot compare Vs leasing, income-wise? And how do I undelegate from bot?
I feel like delegating is much more profitable. You cannot undelegate from bot as the delegation is irreversible. You will have to wait until the end of the contract to receive your steem power back.

No, when you lease to someone, you need to wait till the end of contract period, you can undelegated from bot at any time, it's on the front page:

Quote
You can always undelegate but will lose the earnings for the current unfinished day

+ there's a cooling off, 7 day period.

Anyhow, I found my answer in FAQ, there's a link for undelegating.
