I both agree and disagree with you. One the one hand I agree in that conferences do not put working tech in the hand of users to create demand.
However, if key speakers of those conferences can show most impressive features of the Stratis platform, potential investors will consider to join the project by invest their money into Stratis.
On the other hand, conferences make potential future users aware of what is coming. This will cause those people to keep an eye on development and when the tech lands adoption will be quick. In the short term however, for those worry about the price, the price movements will only come when the tech lands.
