I can actually relate on you. Having a spreadsheet that will serve as your guide in betting is certainly very useful. But due to a more busy life around, activities here and there, laziness will attack until you stop creating those spreadsheet.
It's not laziness, but you need a space to recover your tiredness.
There's no human that can do everything, if people spend their time to track their gambling history, you spend time for other activities. For me, it's wasting time, better to use the time to go gym, study or making more money.
I'd say record your beginning bankroll and end bankroll is enough, the effort is low and you can know if you're ended losing or winning.
The task is time consuming, let's admit such fact. It is good to see at the beginning and see where are you at with your betting activities. However, sustaining this activity is quite tedious as it may interfere with your other activities. Lucky if you only have this task to devote your time into, however, if you are also working, you will have a challenge to fulfil such task.
I am a very busy person at work and when I get home, my kids are always all over me, which means that I will not be able to practice keeping record on spreadsheet, because I don't take my win to be a do or die affair but accept whatever the outcome of my bet is. Anyone having spreadsheet for gambling is taking it too personal and needs to get himself more occupied by important things because he has enough free time. Currently, I gamble only weeknds on Saturday and Sunday, and I bet on one or two games with little amount.
It would really take some effort from the gambler to sustain such task. Hence, most will just do this at the beginning and won't continue recording his bets. The task has benefits but the sustainability of this action is quite a challenge. Not every gambler has the will to continue doing such tedious job.
