Hi, I come back here because I have a little technical question about the beta, if somebody could explain me it would be great!
Here it is:
In the two demo videos video they did (here and here), Justin did something I didn't really understand:
The original DNS is 0.0.0.0
Localhost is 127.0.0.1
The default DNS settings is 0.0.0.0 (normal DNS)
He changed it to localhost, 127.0.0.1
Then, he ran Substratum Node, but with the parameter "--dns_servers 0.0.0.0"
I don't really know how this parameter is supposed to work, however we can suppose it redirects the DNS requests to 0.0.0.0.
So in fact, when the browser sends a request to the DNS :
- it is set to 127.0.0.1 (localhost) so the request is sent to 127.0.0.1,
- SubstratumNode take the request, send it to the DNS set in the command parameter, so 0.0.0.0
- It receives the answer, and send it to the browser
So, the program would just be redirecting the requests from localhost (127.0.0.1) to 0.0.0.0.
Please tell me: where am I wrong??

My guess is the team will offer additional incentives in time for those who want to run what they define as a ‘supernode’ but we will have to wait and see

They told this many times, that don't want to put on Github to not be copy.
If that's true, my apologies, not seen that.
However, in a recent interview with DataDash, I seem to recall that he said that the code is mostly open source and that he is not worried about people copying, and that only a small amount of the server side transaction processing software would be undisclosed code....
so where is all the open source code?
I also heard this in another interview.
So if it is open source, where is the code ?
Days go by... no code, no response....

For sure.
Here was a lot of FUD about that Sub is scam, but in the end they show with release of product that scammers was scam and not Substratum.
They choose 100 people to test Node 0.2 version and I read comments of some on Twitter that work very good.
