I'm happy since "I got mine!"™
But it's just crossed my mind now how incredibly short-sighted it was for KNC not to have modules in stock and put them up for sale immediately after the last October order went out the door.
I played it safe and pre-ordered a Mercury because I wasn't 100% convinced that this wasn't just an elaborate scam, lol. And $2000 was all that I was willing to risk. But the minute they started shipping, I began salivating and waiting for modules to go on sale. I bet there were a lot of other people who did the same as me.
And isn't a major reason for selling the Jupiter (and Mercury) is that they
are expandable as well as being more affordable for the casual miner?!
Most likely I would have ordered 3 modules (instead of the 2 that I ordered today) for my Mercury if I could have had a couple more weeks of hashing time. In fact, while I was waiting for KNC modules to go on sale, I bought 6 more Bitfury H boards instead because I had some Bitcoins burning a hole in my pocket.
* Please, no lectures on ROI. I don't care what "you" think. * So this was a HUGE missed opportunity for KNC to make their customers happy
and add to their bottom line.
