My understanding is that they added new items to the order book that allow you to pay.  If you have a pre-501 order when you log in, the new items will appear and you can complete your order.

They will be entitled "Jupiter 1-500" or "Saturn 1-500" etc.

Can someone point me to the correct person to address my questions regarding Jupiter pre-order confusion I have.

Or, if someone in this thread can answer that would be great.

I have an original pre-order above 1500 (back in April) but the order I placed yesterday is a little above 500. Are they going to do a 500 run first, then another 500, etc...? If my original order was not in the first 500 do I need to pay now, within the next 7 days, for the order I placed yesterday? Most important question, any particular reason why I shouldn't just wait a bit to order, beside being one of the first, since I'm not one of the original 500 pre-orders?

A bit confused by all this pre-re-order pay now or forfeit place in line stuff.

I had orders with bASIC and BFL. Received full refund from bASIC, still holding on to hope that BFL ships my order while still profitable. Wish I'd gone with Avalon but don't we all... I realize this is all speculative but a bit tired of being burned.

Thank you.

if you are an OG pre-orderer (if that's even a term), you should see four options of miners on the page inc. 1-500 Saturn, and Jupiter.

You get 7 days to pay. Screw the lottery, and wait to see how the open-day goes tomorrow...

Also hold back for tomorrow's answer on this whole business/consumer thing, as you want ccard protection in place presumably...

I'm wondering why they put so little of their own money in the company. Their answer: because it's the minimum the company creation costs (≃5500 EUR). (which is a foolish answer <==== see biting tongue here too)

And so, where does the money come from to develop the ASIC?

They have brushed off any and every question regarding the funding of this project. Their annual report is due on June 30. Why the rush to sell miners?

I know you have that first Q on the list, pm Daggeteo the second, and have it answered tomorrow...

The question list is missing clarifications regarding their pre-order trading system.

XX) Is any amount of pre-orders tradable? (In other words will a skimmer who clicked 200 times in the pre-order now make a fortune out of it even though he was never interested in buying even one unit?) This affects greatly affects the place in line and the returns of someone with a pre order above 500 and affects their purchase decision. It also goes against what they said earlier in the website that they expected most pre-orders to be dropped.

YY) Are you selling places in the pre-order queue yourself?

Def thanks for sharing here, but to ensure, at this late stage they are included on the list, please PM Daggeteo so he definitely see's this...

Guy's they've binned the Mars FPGA. However, it will have been useful as part of the iterative process in designing the ASIC mask.

Read yesterday's newsletter...

A very good trick to sell the FPGA at so overpriced level I think.

One thing that concerns me is the language used around mars voucher system -

"Upgrade protection built in to any purchase with vouchers for up to $2000 off of any Jupiter purchase"

What exactly does "up to" mean, they could turn around and give you $100 off a Jupiter and still be accurate to their description.

I think the whole voucher and pre order system needs to be fully clarified before everyone starts throwing money at them, me included Wink

Hey markj113, sharp eyes,

I am glad you did point this out. I was so convinced the two pieces of miners, Mars + Jupiter is gonna to cost me just $2795 + $6995 - $2000 = $7790!

A not so obvious "fine print".

Beyond Imagination
I just finished payment using bitpay, so smooth, much easier than paypal, CC, bank wire transfer etc... Bitpay is destined to thrive

A risk investment again, but in my tolerance level. Everyone who paid a pre-order is in fact kncminer's investor,  now competition are much harder, hope they will succeed

did anyone see the facebook posts of this stupid wannabe fanboy on KNCMiner FB site?

http://stoechi.de:54321/modules/Piczza/www/image.php?size=b&path=stoechi-%2Fstuff%2F&name=1.png&671255711&status=0

IMHO he is pushing the things even to hard for being just a fanboy and we have to fear that its one guy of KNCMiner (his name sounds nordic too).

I know its way hard to figure but we dont have much to base our guesses on, what do you think?

I dunno, I suppose hiring Linus Torvalds to whip up a custom Linux kernel for you would be risky too, so yeah, play it safe...

Unless you wait for off the shelf products, you gotta take some risks.

If you cannot tolerate risk, buy ASICminer blades and/or USB units, they are ready to ship, go ahead.

You are getting off topic, create your own thread Grin

By the way those Asic Miner blade will be useless in couple of months, Freidcat is just dumping old stocks to make some quick bucks, he knows in a few months it will be not worth your money!!

hmmm still considering if is better to order Saturn, Bitfury or chips from some group buy. I'm from Europe. Any advice here? budget 5k $.

thanks.

Best advice:

Do your own research!

advice for you: stop flooding threads and hunt posts like idiot.

I don't have to hunt posts, my email pings me with each reply.

Sorry, you're stuck with me until I've seen what the group members come back with from the openday, so I can make my own decision.

In the mean time i'd rather stop confusion, misinformation and poor payment decisions being spread from people that comment before reading up, and make sure all questions are ready and in place for Daggeteo tomo.

Also do bear in mind, that DYOR wasn't a brush-off, but encouragement to take responsibility for your own actions. Don't bite me for caring enough to offer you common sense advice...

Have a nice day though! Smiley
