BBL has increased the limit of international players from two to three recently which is encouraging for the overseas players and also it will create more interest in the matches.

It is true because of the pandemic some player's want to have money because they can't open their businesses yet, that is why Big Bash League (BBL) approved this kind of getting player's overseas as you can see that they getting more player than before but i think this could be a interesting match since they already sold out 26,500 tickets for the opening and because of ease of covid in their area.

Hmmm... this is a very welcome news and may help the BBL to gain more viewership in Asian nations and England. I'm told that the vast majority of their revenues come from Australia itself, but if they want to expand, then they need to concentrate on other countries as well.
Absense of Indian players on other nations' leagues is another reason why it is not getting enough viewers like IPL is just because of BCCI's policy on their player contracts. Players are not allowed to participate on any other leagues it else they will not be given any contracts which should be changed in my opinion if cricket gets more popular among all other nations.

I am truly frustrated by viewing the exhibition of Lahore Qalandar's presentation.
They just scored 132/7 and lose against the Karachi Lions. I was relied upon too much with Hafeez and Ban Dunk yet the two of them got out without contributing anything.
In any case, I acknowledge Lahore Qalandars that they retaliate against the huge group and lead themselves into the finals. Better luck next time.
This was really wired match for me because in first 10 overs I was feeling Lahore Qalanders are doing good and they can manage some respectable score on board but in later 10 overs they play like really shit so now I am feeling this was just because of Dean Jones they give hims some Honor after death and give this win to Karachi Kings because this was really poor from Lahore Qalanders at the end.

@UmerIdrees yes he’s referring to the Big Bash League as it’s an popular T20 tournament, and he’s surprised that Pakistan player’s are opting to play in LPL and not BBL.

Also you’re right as Amir did perform well for Karachi Kings, but he was dropped as he had failed to pick wickets during Pakistan tour of England.

Lastly if he keeps performing well in domestic cricket, then I’m sure that he’ll find his way back in Pakistan’s Cricket team soon.

I can understand if players prefer LPL or other "smaller" leagues instead of BBL. There's no doubt that BBL is one of the most popular franchise T20 leagues out there. But they have some very ridiculous limitations, such as very low salary cap and a limit of just 2 overseas players per team.

At first i understood it wrong  Roll Eyes

Yes, that's strange as they could have got more money if they would have participated in BBL. Perhaps the BBL did not allowed the players from this region because of the covid-19.
I think its related to NOC. PCB do have some kind of policy related on it, 4 leagues at most i suppose. I believe Amir getting ignored because of his early retirement decision from the test cricket.

We have some more casualties from Corona as now two players from LPL positive for Covid-19 and they have to wait for joining this party two other players already out of this league look like its going to be very poor for this new league https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/_/id/30351915/lpl-2020-sohail-tanvir-canada-batsman-ravinderpal-singh-test-positive-covid-19

Although IPL and PSL is over but are we forgetting LPL which is going to start in the next week in Srilanka. I think the interest in this league will be high too  as we have witness in the other two leagues completed recently.
Highly doubt if anyone excited about it even some Lankans shrug their shoulders off . 6 major teams already playing T-20/ODI etc, even Pakistan is all set up for NZ tour, Btw did any Paki players featuring in this league?

Initially 8 Pakistani players were picked for LPL but now few of them were withdrawn. Below mentioned Pakistani players will play the LPL.

Shoaib Malik
Mohammad Amir
Shahid Afridi
Shoaib Malik
Sohail Tanvir
Afridi and Tanvir play everywhere(Canada, Ban etc) as they are out of the international arena anyway but how come Malik and Amir playing LPL instead of BBL? its related to SL-Pak Bromance of something else?

What do you mean by BBL  Big bash League  Huh  I think you are asking why these two player playing LPL and not on the tour with national team to NZ.

Well, Pakistan drop Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Amir and Asad Shafiq for NZ tour due to lack of performance, although i think Muhammad Amir played well and played an important part for karachi kings and helped them win the title.

Eloncoin.org - Mars, here we come!
Any major player got infected? English team cleared all the tests tho..

They have not disclosed the names of the infected players but for sure they will be from the playing XI of the SA team.

Quote
“Cricket South Africa would like to reiterate that it will not release names of affected players because of doctor-patient confidentiality,” a statement said.

Okay folks, International and Bilateral cricket is about to start from the next week, hope you guys didn't exhaust all your appetite in IPL. If not then 3 different series are up..

NZ vs WI (in NZ)
Aus vs Ind (in Aus)
SA vs Eng (in SA)

^^ No doubt that limited over cricket would be competitive but everyone's eyes on Test series. Pitches in limited overs are flat nowadays anyway so not worry much about it. Earlier CA was hinting on 50% crowd for Boxing day test but don't know if its going to happen or not.

~snip~
South Africa vs England is going in doubt as 4 South African players already positive with Covid-19 and isolated hopefully we will have some better update in coming days.

The most interesting and entertaining will be the series between Australia and India. It will be interesting to see how the Indian perform on the Aussie's home ground.
All these series matches will be played with empty stadiums ?

I read that one player was tested positive and two other players who was having close contact were placed in quarantine and none of their details are public to understand which player tested positive and which players were put in quarantine. From where you got the news that 4 South African players tested positive.
