So two more matches left and are they playing in the same ground if so i will place a bet on this match as well, the team chasing makes it look easy to score runs in this ground and in the second match India chased well and with the experiment in finding the right combination they are not playing with full strength but i expect to play the full strength in the next two matches if they plan on winning the series.

Even before the series started, many of the analysts were claiming that England is a better T20 side. They were proved right. Still India can make a comeback, if they are able to win the remaining matches. The main issue with them is their brittle top order. With Rahul in poor form, India is unable to get a good start during the initial overs, when they bat first. IMO, Kishan needs to open the batting, as he has performed well in that position.
They are better side that's why they are no 1 team and next team standing at no 2 and 3 are behind full 10 points.

----------------
England Won the toss again, lol anyone betting on England?

Ishan-Chahal are dropped and SKY - Chahar are in... KL will open and India still going with 5 bowlers (4 regular + 1 allrounder)

Yeah, last three matches the team that won the toss won the match. There are still two more matches left in this tournament and I hope this situation changes with the two upcoming matches. Except for Virat Kohli every Indian team player and fans will be praying for him to win the toss.

Virat Kohli is once again back in the T20 rankings, supported by good performances with the bat during the India-England series. Kohli is ranked #5, while it is Jos Buttler who is at #1 position. KL Rahul is ranked #4, but he is going through a rough patch right now. Among the Indian bowlers, none of them rank in the top-10 list. Among the all rounders also, no one from India is in the top 10 list.

1st T-20 - Eng won the toss and  won convincingly.
2nd T-20 - Ind won the toss and again one-sided game
3rd T-20- - Eng won the toss and duh...

This Eng vs Ind T-20 series setting a weird template. Strategy from the both captains is, let's win the toss and ball first, easy peasy  Grin . 3 games and we are yet to watch any real contest, let's hope this pattern ends here.
The pattern continues, Virat Kohli will be praying to win the toss so that he will be able to chase and level the series. The toss is a major part and the pitch might be easier to chase at night. During the IPL it will be interesting to see whether the pattern continues and most probably if matches are played here i will pick the team chasing  Grin.
That's a good prediction for selecting odds. Today the fourth T20 is taking place on the same Narendra Modi Stadium. With this match we can get into the conclusion about the odds selection. You could try betting on today's match once after the toss. Team chasing will be the winner.

During last year's IPL (2020 edition), at least during the initial phases, there was a clear bias towards teams batting first (unlike the case in this series). Out of the 14 matches in the first two phases, 9 were won by the teams batting first and 2 were tied. Teams batting second managed to win only 3 times out of 14. It is really strange. Sometimes we see a bias towards teams batting first and sometimes it is the other way around.

IMO, it was just a coincidence. Second ODI would have won by India even if they were batting first. Ishan Kishan and Virat Kohli were in terrific form and if India was batting first they could have made a total of close to 200. Sam Curran opened the bowling for England, and Mark Wood was absent. Also, Tom Curran conceded plenty of runs.
Just for reminder, before 2nd match Virat was going through lean patch (including Test also : 11, 72, 0, 62, 27, 0, then followed by 0 in the first T-20 game).

~snip~

Yup, team India will be trying their best to win the match while the Eng is slthe strongest will not let their winning streak out of their hand. One day left for the 4th ODI and is there any update about the team selection by officials or atleast predictions?

Nothing is confirmed as of yet, especially regarding the slots of opening batsmen. Among  Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan and Ishan Kishan, only two can be included in the playing XI. Indications are that Kohli/Shastri will stick with Rohit-Rahul for the 4th T20I. Ishan Kishan will be either dropped, or demoted to the 3rd position. If Kishan gets the opportunity to open the batting, then Suryakumar Yadav can be included in the XI.

I hope the next match will not be one sided. The players have played 3 T20s in the same field. My guess is that the players on both teams understand the condition of the pitch well. If any team will be able to   a target of 170-180 runs by batting first, they will be a possibility of winning the fourth match. But I hope England will win the next match. Apart from Kohli, no Indian top-order batsman seems to be in form. It is difficult to win a match relying only on middle order batsmen.

@JSRAW considering the next match’s importance I doubt team India will give him a chance in the playing 11, but if they lose the next match then he’ll definitely be included in the last match. Furthermore team India’s captain Virat has also thrown his weight behind KL Rahul, hence I don’t think he’ll be dropped for the remaining matches.

Yeah.. Kohli is famous for his nepotism nowadays. IMO, it will be unfair if Surya Kumar Yadav is given just one opportunity and then dropped if he fails to score big. This has happened to many of the younger Indian players. They deserve at least 2-3 games. If they have only one game at hand, then the pressure will be enormous and in all probability they will fail.

And at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, Afghanistan seems to be cruising towards an easy win against the hapless Zimbabweans. With 3.3 overs remaining, Zimbabwe needs another 75 runs (5 wickets remaining). Scoring at 10 runs per over is very difficult, especially when you have a bowler of the calibre of Rashid Khan in the opposite team.

He didn't even get chance to bat and you are already speculating about his failure or if he can face English bowlers or not lol. At least let him face some balls first or took guard.  Grin

I like KL Rahul in shorter format and he's been a gun batter for India in T-20 for quite some time and his IPL record is excellent but Surya Kumar Yadav also got terrific season so it was pretty bad from his perspective.

I think Rahul was given enough opportunities and now the slot should go to someone else. He scored a total of 1 run in three matches so far. There are other deserving players in the squad (especially Surya Kumar Yadav) and these guys deserve a chance to be in the playing XI rather than someone who is having scores of 1,0,0 in consecutive matches. Just two matches remain now. If the management don't give a chance to the younger players now, then they will feel demoralized.

Anyone watching the T20 match between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe? The match is not available in any TV channels (in India) and I am watching it through FanCode App. Afghanistan made a total of 198/5 (at one point, it looked like they may end up with 220-230, but lost too many wickets in the end). Rahmanullah Gurbaz made 87 from 45 balls and Asghar Afghan made 55. Advantage is with Afghans now, as the Zimbabwean batting lineup is very inexperienced.

He faced more better bowlers in IPL and knocked everyone with his bat for sure so facing the English bowler is not really a big task for him. Moreover the series is happening in India so it can be better for him to get a chance rather than overseas if the selectors are afraid of he is not yet ready to play on other seaming conditions. And also we need some changes in the bowling unit for sure. KL Rahul wasted too many chances and I guess at least in the next match the chance will be given to Surya Kumar Yadav who is extraordinary player for very long time. I though in this match he will get a chance but I was wrong. Anyhow Eng dominated the match completely again and it seems they are in favorite now to win this t20 series in my opinion.

Rahul remains as one of the best Indian batsmen in the T20 format. His performance during IPL 2020 was nothing short of spectacular. Surya Kumar Yadav is a promising batsmen, but I don't know whether he is ready for the big stage yet. I don't want him to end up like Sanju Samson. He will be facing Archer/Jordan/Wood, who are some of the best bowlers in the international cricket right now. A couple of failed chances may destroy his confidence.
