Jayant Yadav bowled exceptionally well and he was getting purchase from the wicket as well and the wicket he got where Dhawan played the wrong line entirely and it was a beautiful ball and i thought MI would have gone with Bumrah for one more over and that wicket happened and he bowled an economical spell. Shreyas Iyer played well and whenever he scored runs his strike rate was not that high and that was another factor which hurt the team.

Both Iyer and Pant were in good form during the start of this season's IPL. But during the second half of the tournament, they were struggling to score runs and none of them could manage to make 50 plus scores. It was good to see them getting back to form in the final match. And regarding Bumrah, once again he proved that he's the best out there. He was the best bowler in this IPL, and that too by a distance.

Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant were able to score half-centuries only because they were facing the MI spinners. Bumrah and Boult had finished their first spell, when these two came to bat. So they were mostly facing Krunal Pandya and the inexperienced Jayant Yadav. Overall, it was a very disappointing innings from DC. They had to get to a total of 180, and they fell short by a long distance.

From the first ball till the end of the match MI was in control, I had never anticipated such a bad performance by DC they were playing as if they knew they were no match for MI. Zero effort and the urge to defeat MI was displayed by DC yesterday. Except for Shreyas Iyer and Rishab Panth, none of the other batsmen were able to face MI ballers. I guess they forgot they were playing the finals.

I was expecting a much tougher competition from DC in the finals but the MI bowlers were outstanding in picking up with the wickets and even though they were able to put on a partnership they were not able to accelerate the innings in the last five overs like they wanted and with a strong batting line up like MI it was not enough to put the pressure and DC failed to pick the wickets from the start and Rohit Sharma performed in the final after some disappointing efforts in the past few games.
Exactly, not as competitive as we have anticipated. MI dominated the complete season and along with final match. They deserve to be the champions, they have great blend of bowling and batting which was impressive. Two consecutive win for MI, but somehow the match failed to entertain us.

In the end, it was a very comfortable victory for Mumbai Indians. Anyway, most of us were expecting this. DC players were out of form, and after their top order collapse (they were 22/3 at one point), no one really expected them to put up any fight. Also, DC managed to score only 38 runs from the last 5 overs. Had they scored 20-25 runs more, then they would have had a chance.

Mumbai Indians win their fifth IPL title, congratulations to become as 2020 IPL champion. Truly very deserving, Mumbai Indains is the strongest team in the IPL franchise so far and best combination ever. Sorry for DC, good try but next time.
The fun aspect is that DC let go of Trent Boult and MI were smart enough to grab the opportunity with both hands and ironically he is the man of the match in the final and along with Bumrah they formed the best bowling line up in the absence of Malinga and it paid off big time.

Overall, it was one of the best seasons and was very entertaining through and through.
This was the most competitive tournament as every team had their off days and some played brilliantly and some came back and stamped their authority in the play off.
DC got the best bowling line up as well so I won't say letting Boult from their team doesn't cost them much in this season but their inexperience is the only reason for their loss in my opinion but for DC this is the best season of all so they can cherish about that later on. MI looks much stronger in overall so other teams also need to find the right combination in the upcoming seasons to get such kind of performances in their team as well.

Betting on MI seems to be the safe bet in the IPL. I feel sad for DC who reached the playoffs twice and the final this time around and still couldn't claim their 1st title just like RCB, Punjab etc.

MI truly deserve this win. Expected DC to give them a tougher fight, but they fizzled out at the end. Shreyas and Pant were the lone warriors among the DC batsmen. The final itself was boring.

Overall, it was one of the best seasons and was very entertaining through and through.

MI retain their crown and win the  IPL for the 5th time . Well deserving win for Mumbai for this season ,they were the only balanced team in this IPL .They not only dominate in the final but also throughout the whole tournament.
Now eagerly waiting for IPL next season which is likely to be start in March-April 2021 said by Sourav Ganguly the BCCI president.

DC came back in the game with Iyer and Pant half centuries else it would have being a low scoring game. But still 157 to win should not be that difficult for MI unless they lose couple of quick wickets in starting few overs which can just add a bit of pressure since its final, else possible they will take the cup for 5th time.
After the disastrous start they got Iyer and Pant took them to a total but with the batting line MI have it is not a competitive score as they bat really deep and DC failed to pick any wickets to put the pressure back to the batsman and they are on their way to another trophy.

MI just need 44 runs from 41 balls and with 8 wickets in hand it is an impossible task for any bowler.

10 runs from 17 balls , likely the champion side won this match again.

Congratulations to MI and their fans.

Edit: they won this match by 5 wickets.celebration started there.

An easy win for MI in the end and well deserved  as well since we consider overall tournament they were the ones who were most consistent and played exceptionally well and as a result won for 5th time and second in a row. It was good tournament considering the pandemic situation and too many ups and down before finalising the dates and venue .

The ease in which Mumbai Indians played the finals says everything about the team, they had the best bowlers and the chase was on point from the start even though they lost three wickets unnecessary, one in the form of a run out where there was no run available and then Rohit Sharma going for the big hit when the run rate was below par and now Pollard lost his wicket trying to finish the match as quickly as possible but it is too late and MI is winning this easily.

It should be an easy win for Mumbai with only 112 runs left to chase down. For the finals, anything below 180 means giving a chance to the other team to chase down easy runs and especially a team like MI. After the earlier win, I expected Delhi to make atleast 180-190.

In the end of DC's innings, they have scored 157 runs. I think DC is in safe zone now. They lost early wickets, they lost Stoinis, Dhawan and Rahane in 4 overs. I don't think anyone thought that Delhi capital would be able to target so many runs. Thanks to Lyre and Pant. Their great partnership has brought such a large collection to DC.

There are many good batsmen in the MI's squad. Such as de kock, Rohit Sharma, Pollard and Pandya. They all played terribly well in the t20 format. Let's see who wins the title this time.  Cool

18 158 is not a big target for a good team like MI. But in the final match, all the players are under some mental pressure. So, losing wickets quickly is not impossible. Yet MI has a lot of good batsmen. I am optimistic about their victory. And most important thing for me is, I bet on MI today.

After 20 overs DC have scored 157 runs which not competitive enough in the circumstance of the grand finale and obviously when your opposite team MI, praised a lot for their batting. until now MI made the right decision to ball first and tight DC batting line up. You're right likely MI chase this target down and grabs their 5th IPL title.

Even this is still not enough target which DC want to win this years title but after losing top order very quickly Panst and Iyer done good job and reach out on respectable total now they need some good amd magic spell from their bowlers for having some good and fair chance in this match Ashwin is going to open for DC in bowling and its good tactics from them he can take early wickets.
