It's official England will take of Pakistan for T20 match in October 2021 after 16 years! No doubt, Pakistan fans anxiously waiting for the upcoming series since Pakistan cricket board were desperately waiting to host international match, it's great achievement.

This is not a good news at all because England team were supposed to come this year but they postponed it to the late next year. England's proposed tour of Pakistan postponed until late 2021
Secondly i am sure they won't visit next year too and will have some sort of excuses. I don't expect much from big 3s.

@UmerIdrees I believe at this stage Pakistan fans should just enjoy this news, because England’s decision will compel other countries to tour Pakistan too.

Also I won’t blame you for being skeptical, but I do believe that team England will definitely tour Pakistan since they have confirmed it, but the big question is will it be their fringe player’s, or will it be their main squad that’ll come to play and only time will reveal the answer to this question.
England was supposed to visit in Pakistan early 2021 for few ODI and T-20 (playing with SL now) which postponed to Oct 2021 and playing only 2 back to back T-20 games ( 14-15th oct), that's how you plan historical visit for any bilateral series? Highly doubt that..

Do you mean that England will visit Pakistan for a bilateral series and play only two t-20 ?  Will there be no test matches and one day matches ?
This is really a joke that a team visit to a country after 15 years to play only two T20 matches.

Look like the Late Dean Jones team will win this match and the final.

Yes, truly said. That final victory was dedicated to him.

Condition apply ; If existing player didn't ball or bat then he's replaceable otherwise nope.
Oh, i was not aware of that condition, if so then what is the use other than replacing an injured player and then according to pitch situation they can make changes, i thought it was same like the substitute in football and if that was the case it would be great as the level of uncertainty increases.
Well one hypothetical situation i can think of is; Team batting first went to score big in first 10 overs without loosing many wickets (1-2 Max), in that case batting captain could take a tactical decision by replacing middle order batsman/batting all rounder to a full time bowler.

IMO, Pakistan should make use of the current opportunity. Because they were one of the first countries to contain the spread of COVID 19. After an initial spike during June, the number of new infections declined to 400-800 per day. On the other hand, the other cricket playing nations (apart from Sri Lanka and New Zealand) are witnessing steep spikes in COVID 19 infections.
As per the COVID official count the number of patients in Pakistan is rising around 2500 per day for the past one week and Bangladesh is also in the same situation but a slightly lower patient count. The situation in Australia is also not that great as they might shut down the entire country again.

India is leading on that aspect as well because after the initial banging of pots and pans they forgot to continue that process Cheesy.

Hmm.. so the situation is getting worse in Pakistan as well. The winter season has started in the sub-continent and may peak by January-February. So I don't expect any slowdown in the spread for the next 2-3 months. On the other hand, the situation in those countries which are located in the southern hemisphere (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa.etc) may improve, as the temperature rises.

The situation of covid-19 is getting worse not only in Pakistan but in all the countries. I think no one is taking serious this 2nd wave of covid-19 which can bring much more deaths as compared to the first wave.

If i am not mistaken then we have T-20 WC around same time right? They are playing before the WC or after the tournament. Good warm up games for both teams if this tour coming before the wc.

Coronavirus infections are on the rise in many Asian countries (Bangladesh, Pakisthan, India, Afghansthan). Many expert say that its infection will increase further in the winter. If the coronavirus infection increases like this, we will see another long break in cricket.

Even in Australia the number of cases are rising. The same is true for England and India as well. So setting up bio-secure bubbles and organizing various large tournaments is going to be very difficult. It will be interesting to see how the BBL gets going, as it involves a total of 8 different teams. Also we have the T20 World Cup in around 12 months from now.

It was expected that the second or the third wave will hit Indian cities by end of November or early December and might go till February next year. The same will happen in other countries too and this time the mortality rate will be far much higher. It is better to stay indoors as much as possible than venture outside. I still believe that the actual numbers of cases are far much higher than what is being shown in the subcontinent.

Mortality seems to have declined when compared to the early phases. But in cities such as Delhi, the number of new infections are hitting record highs. It may be due to the onset of the winter season, but I am not sure. However, it seems likely that the Ranji Trophy will be cancelled for this year, along with the other domestic tournaments. I don't think they will be able to schedule it, due to the rising infection rate.

That might not be the situation if the number of patients are on the rise, the climate is just one factor and the rising temperature alone will not improve the situation.

Punters might adjust quickly if this rule become norm.
It is not that easy, in football if you substitute a player you can understand how it can go but cricket sometimes rely on individual performance. Suppose a team is bowling first and they can fill a team with 5 bowlers and then can substitute with a batsman at a later time and it will make a major difference.

~The BCCI placed so many restrictions on the league, such as limit on salary purse and restriction on the number of overseas players. On top of that, there is no incentive to preform, as the promotion-relegation system is not followed in IPL.
The restriction on the number of overseas players should increase to 5 players allowed per team and there might not be having any incentive to perform but there is pressure on getting to a team next time around if they are not performing in a particular season Cheesy.

Many people were already discussing about the PSL final above your post and hence they are watching the match.  Cool
I did not not watch it live though but glad to see another tournament got completed and not affected by the pandemic.

It was a low-scoring match, but I enjoyed watching it. Babar Azam once again confirmed that he is miles ahead of the remaining batsmen. The PCB did a great job in resuming the tournament and managing it through the end. Initially,  thought that it would be better in case they abandon the remaining matches and concentrate on the next year's tournament. But in the end, it worked well for them and the TV audience ratings were also good.

Yes, Baber Azam was the difference between the two teams and Karachi deserve this win. However i was little disappointed to see a low scoring match in the finals. The rest three of the qualifiers were thriller and i expected something similar in the finals too.

This is really frustrating. Everyone expects to watch a competitive match in the final. But the match was one-sided. Lahore qalandars  start their match fairly well. Fakhar Zaman and Tamim Iqbal had a good partnership. After Tamim Iqbal was out, no other player could play well against the bowlers of Karachi Kings. Lahore gave a target of only 135 runs. Babar Ajam's devastating batting easily made Karachi the champions.

Not able to recall any game  Roll Eyes. Did they really implemented this in any significant series? If not then you can't blame fans to forget small tweaks. Yeah first class cricket should be breading ground for innovation to avoid backlash or any drawbacks.

I am also unable to recall any major instances. But I remember reading about it (may be in cricinfo). Back then the ICC was desperate to come up with some "innovation". They were in a haste and implemented the measures without proper analysis. Although they discarded the idea after a few months, I had always thought that it can be brought back in to the game, with necessary changes.

Yes of course. Babar Azam such a good performer, having idea how to come mainstream by his batting. He has his own class, style of batting and regular performer. Anyway, It's great to see Karachi winnings PSL, first winning is always special. A big congrats.
