If there were experienced players like Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma in this T20 series, India would not have been defeated so badly in the first two matches. Along with playing well, experience is very important, along with good performance, if a player has experience on the field then he can give 100 percent performance. This is what I don't understand. If they really want to experiment with the players, then why can't they organize a few India A and India U-23 tours? I don't even remember when was the last time we had a series with these teams. Pushing payers directly into international cricket is crazy. They may not be prepared for that, as many of them don't have the necessary experience of playing under SENA conditions. Even if they allow the IPL franchises to play 3-4 matches outside India during off-season, that will help tremendously.

Yes I also know that Shubman Gill is a good player because I have seen him play very well in Test matches. I do not understand the reason for his poor performance in T20 matches. KL Rahul might not feature in T-20 setup anytime soon. He fucked up as an opener plenty of times, even if he does (which is unlikely) it won't be an easy task for him.

In ODI too he missed the bus as far as the opener slot is concerned, nowadays he's considered only middle order batter + Keeper and his record is nice in this slot.

Shubman Gill created a lot of buzz with his brilliant performance in the last IPL but failed to give his best in the last tour of West Indies after finishing the IPL. Shubman Gill has now performed in only one match of this complete series. He was able to score 85 against the West Indies in the third ODI and then we did not see a good score from his bat in the last three T20Is. Indian cricket has a lot of players in its pipeline so if Shubman Gill doesn't have to return to runs very soon, he may lose his position. If Shubman Gill can perform consistently then he will be one of the reliable names in Indian cricket and will be considered in all three formats.

It is a known fact that ICC stands in favour of the teams that have got good sum of money. Along with the same it is controlled by few cricket boards and they take decision based on the some rules that brings money for them. ICC should be independent, only then it can work without any interruption from cricket boards that are placed high. If not when making arrangements adding a team nearby could've been done. This could solve the problem, rather than a bilateral series it would be a tri series and a third team also gets an opportunity to improve their ability.

Shubman Gill is a new player but I have seen him play very well in Test matches. But coming to T20, he is not able to collect good runs. When I saw his performance in the Test match I thought India got another perfect player for their team but come T20 he gave a performance that took people's attention away from him. But it is a matter of concern why his performance dropped so much in T20. Maybe he gets too nervous while playing a limited overs game which gets him out quickly. I can see his confidence in himself in T20 very less

T20 match new players may be a bit frustrated due to which they cannot score runs. When Shubman Gill played in the Test match, it was thought that he might be a new star for India. He has done amazing batting performance in Test matches but when it comes to T20 matches his batting performance is absolutely bad for which everyone took notice from him. But Shubman Gill is a new player that's why he doesn't know how to play in T20 matches, but I think if he plays a few more matches he can become experienced. In T20 matches mainly older players can perform well if they can play for a long time. We saw that Suryakumar Yadav's batting in the third T20I was phenomenal. But in T20 matches old players are more experienced than new players for which they can perform well any time and win the team.

When India select a player for the national team they look for quality and Shubman Gill is a good young player. He does not understand the strategy of playing T20 matches because he is completely new in T20 and on the other hand West Indies is a good team. There is no guarantee that a team will always play well because all teams play to become champions. India is not playing well now and will play well in the coming days, there is nothing to fuss about it. West Indies have managed to prepare themselves well for this T20 match so they are able to overtake India
