I definitely think that India should have given a bigger target for West Indies. The start was really bad for India. Both of the openers were not able to do basically anything. And I also expected better performance from the Captain Hardik Pandya.  I definitely think the target could have been something better. But at the same time, I also agree that the bowling performance of India was not good as well.  It seems like in the last decider match. India failed to perform in both batting and bowling. West Indies also gave India extra 11 runs.
There are some players who are put under a lot of pressure when given the captaincy which results in not getting the desired performance from them. Same is the case with Hardik Pandya, Hardik Pandya is currently a very good fast bowling all-rounder but he has been given the captaincy in this series which is why we don't see a good performance from him. You may say that Hardik Pandya captained Gujarat Titans in IPL to win the trophy in the first season and then made the team runners-up then why Hardik Pandya is not able to captain the national team well. Firstly there are many differences between a domestic league tournament and an international tournament. Although Hardik Pandya has been successful in the domestic league, it is very difficult to do well against the champions in this kind of international tournament. Next BCCI should think before giving Hardik Pandya the captaincy and then give the captaincy.

Ireland W vs Netherlands W

They played First T20 match in Amstelveen yesterday. If we took a look on the stats of the last match so we will see that the Ireland Women team was very strong as compare to Netherlands women team. Netherlands made 92 runs with yhe lost of 9 wickets but on the other hand Ireland's first partnership chased the target with in 13 overs. Excellent performance by Ireland.
Netherlands women's team is stronger than Ireland women's team but they lost the T20 match against Ireland. However, the Netherlands women team did not perform well in the match due to which they lost the match. However, both the batting and bowling performances of the Ireland women's team have been outstanding for which they have achieved hugely. Basically, due to the bad batting performance of Netherlands, they could not start many runs in the match and they lost wickets very easily. But Ireland batsmen played their game and two batsmen played brilliantly and scored runs to reach the target. Ireland's two batsmen in particular, Gaby Lewis and Amy Hunter, finished the game in 13.1 overs with both of them batting, and achieved a huge win by 10 wickets, which was really good for the Island.

I think we should give them a break and hope that they will perform much better in coming series / tournaments. Let’s not be too much disappointed with their recent performances.
Criticism upto a certain limit is perfectly fine. Whatever I mentioned in my recent posts is clearly under that limit. They need to improve a lot if they want to compete against stronger teams like Australia etc.

They did in the first 4 matches.

The Windies scorelines were below par in all matches despite the batting track but in the first 2 matches Indian lost the plot with their batting, not bowling. Chahal performed exceptionally well in the first 2 matches and did a satisfactory job in 3rd and 4th. Yeah, Windies took him to a cleaner in the last encounter but it does happen sometimes and every bowler is allowed to have an off day.
Valid points. I simply expected more from them which is why I was disappointed by the bowlers and the batsmen especially.

I won't blame bowlers, there wasn't much expectation from them but they performed really well and restricted Windies batters in every match, all pitches were belter so they did a fairly decent job.
They did restrict them well in some matches, but they performed badly in some other matches like the last match where a pro like Chahal ended up giving away 50+ runs against the Windies.

Kuldeep was the only one who consistently delivered throughout this series in my opinion.

Chahal was pathetic during this series. He was smashed all over the park by West Indian batsmen.

@JSRAW the Indian team management needs to immediately introspect as to why the player’s who perform so well in IPL failed and they should take bold decisions and drop some player’s so all get the message i.e. perform or perish. Also those are decent figures for the T20 format except the last match where he could have done better but I’m sure that he’ll learn from this thrashing and perform better in the next match.

Chahal was pathetic during this series. He was smashed all over the park by West Indian batsmen. There are a lot of promising youngsters waiting for a chance, including Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Shahbaz Ahmed and Varun Chakravarthy are some of the names that come to my mind right now. They deserve a few outings and if Chahal can't perform then he should be kept out. BTW, I was also impressed with Kuldeep. He got his variations right, and bowled with a very tight line and length. Picked up wickets at crucial intervals.

Many people are saying that India team have lost the form and now they are so weak that they lost to the weakest team like India but they forget that it is the same Indian team which have won both the Test series and the one day series against West Indies. Also, they lost the T20 by margin of 3-2 which is not so bad.

I don’t want India to actually think about this too much as they were experimenting anyway. That’s the best way they will be able to prepare for the Asia cup.

Looking at the history of T20I matches in that particular ground (Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground), I would say that India had posted a decent total. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma gave them a decent start, but middle and lower order failed to capitalize on that. They should have made a total of 190-200, but ended up with 165/9. But then the bowlers were wayward and were treated with disdain by the West Indian batsmen. Yuzvendra Chahal was clearly out of form, but Hardik insisted in giving full quota of 4 overs to him.

Just think of the previous match, similar scenario happened with the West Indies team. No player was able to add a wicket to their name and finally close to the winning Shubman Gill lost his wicket. There needs to be consistency in performance with both the teams. The same West Indies team defended India with the target score of 149 runs in the first match taking 9 wickets and the same team struggled to take a single wicket in the fourth T20 match. So we can't point bowlers as the reason for the loss of the final match. Compromised performance is the possible way to keep the winning.
Whatever we say in the final match of this series, West Indies gave a great performance in batting and bowling due to which they were able to beat India by 8 wickets in the final match. We have noticed some obvious mistakes in terms of captaincy, if Hardik Pandya could have made some bowling changes in time then the result of the match could have been different.

A 165-run win against West Indies is possible if economical bowling is done. We shouldn't have any doubts about the bowling line-up of the Indian team as they fielded the best bowling XI but the bad thing is that they did not bowl according to the plan due to which they did not succeed in restricting the West Indies to 165 runs.

The sooner India forgets the West Indies tour series, the sooner they can prepare for the Asia Cup. I don't think West Indies should focus on the Asia Cup now after reading about what went wrong on their tour.

I do not know if the Indian team is in bad form at the moment or if they just do not take the West Indies team seriously. Perhaps they thought the West Indies is not a strong team and they took things for granted.

look like indian team lost his form. after winning two consecutive matches they should win the last match to win the series but they lost un expectedly. WI which was totally out of form win last match very easily. 166 target was not easy to chase as India has top bowling both spin and pace. WI top orders batsmens are very dangerous and if they set they will score high runs and this happen In the last match where Indian bowlers failed to take wickets.

Quote

Anyhow this T20 series defeat may badly impact the Indian cause in the upcoming Asia Cup and World Cup as the team morale will be down after this defeat.

Indian team should learn lesson from this series and should select experience player for Asia cup. No doubt many young players has ability to prove himself but they have not enough experience to face international players. If virat Kohli and other experience players was in the series i hope the conditions would be different.
You are absolutely right, much can be expected of young players, but it is a matter of time. The experience of young players is much less compared to the experience of older players so one can never expect good things from young players facing international players. India has always ruled the world of cricket. But that is possible only for old talented players

Indian T20 team can never be called a bad team just because they are doing badly in this series in T20 but there were several wrong decisions for this team which Hardik Pandya could not control properly. In the T20 series, however, two or three senior players such as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were definitely needed. The advice and leadership of senior players is definitely better than the leadership of freshers and they know how to lead the team in times of danger. In yesterday's match as well, Hardik Pandya had several misjudgments in the bowling department which were enough to send India down in yesterday's match.
I don't think it's bad performance from young India team. This is best way to test a new team and India have got a new talent in the form of Talik Varma.
Finally something to cheer about for WI cricket which haven't won a series in recent years. Yesterday match was interrupted 3 times because of rain but still we have a full match.
It isn't a bar performance from young India team. It bounced after losing the first two matches, and brought back the hope of winning the series as the young Indian team won the 3rd & 4th matches. The 4th match was massive win and the same increased the expectation over the team. In the final match the performance from the Indian players were good, while the West Indies team performance is better than before.
The Indian youngsters had a poor performance as they lost their first and second matches. But when the third and fourth matches were won brilliantly by India's youngsters, there was hope that they might clinch the final. However, when the Indian youngsters entered the field for the fifth match, despite their good performance, they could improve on the batting performance. Meanwhile, West Indies bowled and batted well to put India under a lot of pressure in their bid to win the series. And India lost the series in the final match due to their poor performance and West Indies won the series brilliantly.

As India showed dominance in the third and fourth matches, I thought the team would be able to maintain this consistency in the last match as well. And India will win the third match as well. But this is not the case. In the third match we again saw India's poor batting. The team cannot play well. The performance of their batsmen in particular was erratic. Expectations were high from Jiaswal and Gill. They batted brilliantly in the fourth match. Also, Hardik Pandya, the most experienced batsman of the team, did not bat well. Apart from the batsmen, the performance of India's bowlers was also poor. Even if the bowlers could have bowled well, the match would have been competitive.
If Suryakumar Yadav's performance was not good in the last match of the series, then India would have collapsed. Because the opening batsmen were failed and the in the 5th, 6th and 7th positions were also had no good contribution, the team could not go ahead with the score. So there is the question why the Indian good bowlers couldn't stop West Indies? Even the most wicket takers could not keep a wicket to their name. For which 8 bowlers were used but none were successful. Due to which West Indies got an easy win against the powerhouse team of cricket world.

We can't blame the bowlers, because higher the target lower will be the pressure on the bowlers. When the score is low, automatically the pressure will be high on the bowlers. This won't let the bowlers have their natural game. The opener Brandon King played an awesome innings and Nicholas Pooran was a good support. This made the winning a much easier one for West Indies. Throughout the series the toss have played a big role and the teams to bat second have won in most matches.

They were a bad team in the T-20 series period. They weren't even capable of defeating a team which couldn't qualify for the ODI World Cup which itself says a lot. This is the raw truth regardless of whether you accept it or not.

but India's performance in the third match was not bad but  Had to lose due to some wrong decisions in the bowling department.
Not bad? Hilarious. They misfired in the batting and bowling departments and got decimated by the Windies. Think!
I won't blame bowlers, there wasn't much expectation from them but they performed really well and restricted Windies batters in every match, all pitches were belter so they did a fairly decent job.

Batting was a letdown, batters did perform but in patches. Samson was major disappointed and Pandaya as a batter and Captain deserve major criticism.
