Bengaluru set a target of 182 runs against Delhi Capitals. 181 runs on such a pitch I would not call a bad performance. But I expected Bengaluru to deliver more than 200 targets today. Because their two openers Kohli and du Plessis batted well in this match. Bengaluru lost their first wicket in the 11th over. Even though Kohli could play an innings of 55 runs today, his strike rate was only 119. Mahipal's innings of 54 runs from 29 balls enabled Bengaluru to collect 181 runs.
Delhi have won three of their last four matches. The team's batsmen are in good form. If the opening pair can bat well, Delhi has a chance to win against Bengaluru.
I have to say that this was not a very easy target by RCB. This was certainly a very decent target for any team. But DC was able to chase that down so easily. They may date look so easy. DC did not give any chance to RCB bowlers in this match. They just smashed everything right and left.
I honestly cannot blame RCB's batting. They have certainly done a decent job. But especially Phil Salt took apart the RCB bowling lineup. It was like DC was in a hurry. DC is currently at the bottom of the table. But they did not certainly play like one.
