Emotion never get priority in sports but agree with you MS Dhoni is certainly a prominent player whose intelligence can often lead his team forward. But this time if I look at Gujarat Titans they are ahead of any other team and even though they lost the match in Qualifier 1 but they bounced back in Qualifier 2. There is no room to leave them behind in bowling and batting. Gujarat has not only Shubman Gill but also some prominent players through whom it is not difficult to achieve the target. If Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya are on fire, the match can be controlled in any situation.

It surprises me that the BCCI has never thought about constructing a stadium with retractable roof in India, despite the fact that rain interruption is causing hundreds of millions of USD worth of losses to the TV broadcasters and the IPL franchises. Even smaller boards such as the ECB and Cricket Australia have such stadiums available to them (for example the Dockland stadium in Melbourne), but not a single one exists within India. And it is getting more important nowadays, as the weather patterns have changed and unseasonal rains have become the norm.
