It happens to every player, look at Harry Brook. He's too having a bad time in the IPL and struggling badly. A couple of weeks back he was scoring tons for fun.

They both are champion players so give it time. I am sure both Brook and SKY will bounce back and produce some beautiful innings for their respective franchises.

What you can expect from a 36 years old player which is having 140 strike rate at his peak and now having trouble to score like he has done few years back but still done decent job helps Axar Patel who done amazing job to bring his team at decent target but now if DC wants to have better results they need to change their strategy with having some firepower because after playing 4 matches they fail to win anyone which is big setback for them and with this now most chances they could be going to end this season below which is never been ideal they have good bowling, but their batsmen are not giving enough support which is surely problem hopefully in coming matches we will have better performance from them.

The 17th match of Indian Premier League is going to start after some time. However, I am a little worried about how the match will be played today because I have been seeing the IPL matches for a few days now. Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan.  I still don't know which team will win the Royals. But I think we can enjoy a very peaceful match between the two teams. Both teams have very good quality bowling and batting. So the match will be very good.

Delhi's top order players, especially Warner, batted a bit slowly. Even then they managed to collect 85 runs in the first 10 overs. It wasn't a bad collection. If the middle order and finisher batsmen play well, Delhi could have set a target of around 200. But due to the poor performance of the middle order batsmen, Delhi's innings did not last long. A score of 172 was enough to fight, but not good enough to win.
The first three batsmen of Mumbai Indians' top order have batted responsibly. Rohit Sharma returned to form and managed to play an inning of 65 runs. The reason for Delhi's defeat was not only their slow batting, but also the performance of their bowlers was very poor.

On the one hand, the Delhi Capitals Top Oder's strike rate was very low, on the other when they need to accelerate the score, fall of consecutive wickets they failed to enlarge the score any more in that match. Delhi Capitals had to accept their defeat in four matches. According to their condition there is no doubt to say this season is not good for them. If they do not come back to the next matches, they may be eliminate from their desired goals. Opposition team Mumbai Indians confirmed their first win by losing Delhi Capitals yesterday.

Mumbai Indians won by six wickets against Delhi Capitals and the win was not so easy for Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians had to wait till the last ball to win this match.  Mumbai Indians won this match very dramatically. 

When Delhi capitals set a target of 173 runs against Mumbai Indians, Mumbai Indians were batting smoothly to chase that target. No wicket fell for Mumbai Indians till the first seven overs. In these seven overs, Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan collected 70 runs together. That means they needed 103 runs in 13 overs to win which was a very easy target for Mumbai Indians. 
But later, when Ishan Kishan was run out, Tilak Verma entered the field as the number three batsman. Despite the fall of wickets, Mumbai Indians' run average was going well.  But in the 15th over, Mustafizur Rahman came to bowl and changed the course of the match. Coming to bowl in the 15th over, Mustafizur Rahman cost only 2 runs. 
In the 17th over, Mustafizur came back to bowl, picking up the important wicket of Rohit Sharma as well as hitting four dot balls and he cost 8 runs in that over. 

At the end, Mustafizur Rahman could not maintain his economic rate. In the last two overs, Mumbai Indians need 20 runs to win. When Mustafizur Rahman was brought in to bowl in the 19th over, he spent 15 runs with two sixes in that over  That's when Mumbai Indians went a long way to win.  But in the 20th over everyone had to wait until the last ball due to Nortje's brilliant bowling. Two runs were required off the last ball. The last ball was also excellent but if the fielder could have thrown properly then the match would have been a super offer. 

Mumbai Indians picked up their first win in IPL against Delhi.

SKY is the biggest example on how a good T20 talent gets destroyed because the selectors wanted him to play on all formats. He is now being branded as a batter who has earned the crown of Golden duck in 26 days. In the last six inning he has scored 0, 1, 15, 0, 0, 0. I do not know what will he do in ODI or test cricket but the format for which he is known as a player who can play 360 he is struggling to score a single run.

Can this be called as a bad patch/form or a pressure to play all three formats of the game placed by the Indian selectors.

Delhi Capitals batsmen are out of form, and that was probably one reason why Warner has been cautious with the scoring rate. Manish Pandey was the only other top order batsmen who made a score of more than 20 yesterday. Everyone else failed, including Prithvi Shaw, Rovman Powell and Lalit Yadav. Axar Patel did some fireworks towards the end, and that enabled the Delhi Capitals to reach a decent total. And after a very good start, Mumbai Indians also went through a bit of wobble. Tilak Varma, Suryakumar Yadav and Rohit Sharma got out in quick succession and the run rate dipped.

If only these guys could have scored quickly and made 10 to 15 more runs, it would have been impossible for the Mumbai Indians to chase this score. Big names lie David Warner is not doing anything good for the Delhi Capitals and that is the reason that they have still not managed to taste a single victory in this year's IPL and their points are still Zero until this point.

On the other hand, when we see Mumbai Indians, their opener and captain Rohit Sharma lead from the front and score 65 runs in only 45 balls. Compare this with David Warner's 51 runs in 47 balls and you will know the difference.

Even with his poor strike rate and bad time they have done decent job and bring their team at good target but their bad luck MI bowlers done amazing last two overs which allow them for having only 7 runs and lost of six wickets which give them big setback and this difference of 15 to 20 runs was main difference between these two teams, and they lost match after having flying start from Rohit Sharma and Kishan after having good start Mi batting also face some problems but at the end Tim David and Cameroon Green done good job and have first won for their team in this season even I have feeling they need to improve their performance if they want to have better results in coming matches because with this performance they can face backlash even they can stay out of the play-offs.

Mustafizur Rahman did a bit better towards the end but overall Delhi Capitals bowling performance has not improved much, it is very disappointing for Delhi Capitals fans that they have not performed well in even one of the four matches in a row. And I would say that the reason behind the win in today's match is largely due to the bowling side of Delhi Capitals. Anyway let's see if there is any improvement in the next match, although another giant team Royal Challengers Bangalore is waiting to give the next match. I think this is how Delhi Capitals will end this IPL season

However, in today's match, some improvement of Mumbai Indians has been observed,Rohit Sharma finally managed to come out of his off form and gave Mumbai Indians a brilliant innings by scoring 65 runs with 144 strike rate. And this match has helped them rise from the bottom of the points table to some extent. Let's see that their next match is going to be held against Kolkata King Riders, who are number three in the points table, here too if Rohit Sharma can use his form then it could be another big opportunity for Mumbai Indians.

Warner is playing well in every match. While the performance of other batsmen in the team is very bad, Warner is playing well in every match. But his strike rate is only 115. Playing at such a strike rate on a platform like IPL is never useful. After former India player Sehwag made bad comments about Warner's performance in the last match, I thought Warner would change his style of play in this match. But he batted slowly in today's match as well. I don't know where Warner's problem is.

I'm not sure what is the intention of Warner, but it seems like he is playing for himself. Warner scored more than 200 runs by playing 4 matches in this season. But his strike rate is only 115 after the first four matches. The match became too close in the end, Delhi would have won the match if Mustafizur bowled well in the 19th over. Perhaps, Delhi Capitals will end this IPL journey by staying in the last position.

Finally Mumbai innings have tasted their first win of the season against Delhi Capitals. Breathtaking match, 5 runs required in the last over and Nortje bowled well. In the previous over Mustafizur Rahman could've bowled well. There were more drops and fielding mistakes which made Delhi Capitals loss the match. In the last ball two runs required and Delhi Capitals could've drawn the match, moved to super over. Anyhow from the confident winning position Delhi took control of the match at the last over and missed the opportunity. Last three IPL match results have come at the last ball of the match.

Sometimes the behavior of the players seems as if someone has tied up them. It is true that players like Warrier do not usually play with such a strike rate. Maybe from the beginning they tried to play by keeping the wicket and that is why the run rate has decreased. The Mumbai Indians team is also trying to play carefully. They are playing seriously. As only one wicket have fallen, Mumbai Indians' victory in this match is only a matter of time. Rohit Sharma is batting well, maybe he will stay on the pitch until the match is owned.

Cant believe its warner who has scored a fifty on 46 balls and no six in his entire innings. Thanks to Axar Patel blistering 50 runs towards the end of innings. In reply MI are very nicely placed as Mumbai need 56 runs in 42 balls with lots of batting to come. Rohit Sharma is leading from the front and so far he has scored 58 runs on 35 balls that include 4 sixes. The match is very much in favor of MI and they will taste there first victory tonight.

Yeah, it was quite painful to watch his inning. He was really struggling with the timing and the less we talk about SR the better. Axar used to be an okay batter but these days he's really improving as a batter, he did it in tests on a tough track and doing the same in the white ball.

It looks like Brohit woke up and choose violence against DC.

These days, watching David Warner bat to be boring rather than entertaining. In today's match against MI, Captain Warner once again produced a rusty knock, scoring 51 runs off 47 balls.

Not a fair total, as DC getting bowled out for 172 in 19.4 overs. However, thanks to Axar Patel's blistering knock, that helps to post a respectable total. Let's see if DC's bowlers will be able to successfully defend the total or not.

Warner really needs to change his approach since he is placing way too much pressure on the other batsmen thanks to his mediocre strike rate. He needs to be shifted lower down the order if you ask me.

DC ended up posting 172 all thanks to Axar's blitz at the end which could be enough as long as they bowl sensibly.

Look at the bright side, tonight one of them will surely open their account and register their first win in the tournament.

I just hope all the main batters like Warner, Shaw, SKY, Rohit, Kishan etc come back and play according to their reputations and entertain the crowd with some fireworks.
