I thought Gujarat would win easily after the Punjab team had just given away the target of 154 runs. But they won the match in 19.5 overs. I thought Gujarat would reach the target within 16 overs. Because we have seen Gujarat batting brilliantly in every previous match. But in today's match, their batting was quite slow. Although the target was only 154 runs. So the batsmen of Gujarat batted very carefully.
However, Gujarat won three of the 4 matches. However, the team is placed third in the table due to their low NRR. If they could have won today's match in 15/16 overs then maybe they could have grabbed the second or top spot.

Gujrat titans have some brilliant players interms of batting and balling both , they won today's match really easily although target was good .
They chased it on loss of 4 wickets.

From the start everything is in favour of Gujarat Titans as the players were very responsible in their roles. Today it was Shubman Gill who played perfectly and took the team towards win. Maybe if he had lost his wicket earlier, surely Gujarat Titans would've lost the match. In the final over Sam Curran bowled really well, but Tewatia played in a cool manner targeting short fine leg which isn't concentrated by the Sam Curran while bowling. Anyhow the match came close during the last over when Shubman Gill got bowled out and missed a run out.

My guess was that PBKS will score somewhere around 150 to 160 and in the end they gave a target of 154 runs. To me 154 is not a big target to chase from a team like GT. So far GT are steady in their run chase as they have scored 67 runs in 8 overs. Nothing much to worry for Pandya as GT are favorite to win this game. This game once again proved that PBKS are very much dependent on Dhawan batting.

The way Punjab Kings started the game, it seems that they will not be able to make a good run in today's match. Because of the fall of wickets one after the other due to which their run has come to a complete halt. Right now, Punjab Kings are under a lot of pressure after losing four wickets. Sam Curran and Bhanuka Rajapaksa are batting but they are not performing very well. At the moment Punjab Kings 99 runs and 4 wickets in 15 overs if they continue to perform like this then it will be difficult for them to collect 150 runs.

Agreed, irrespective of the toss the match is much in favour of Gujarat Titans. Punjab Kings depending on few players won't give hands everytime. The match is going to be close as the last few matches that got its result as the very last ball of the match. Shikhar Dhawan played well in the last match and this time has already walked to the pavilion. Both the teams are equally strong and Gujarat Titans have the wicket standing capability which boosts the confidence to win any match irrespective of the target placed.

That stats of both teams are same and both are wally strong. Till now gurjrat is doing good with their balling attack they already took 2 wickets of Punjab Kings in 5 overs . The runrate is pretty good ,Punjab Kings can give a good target if they'll retain wickets .

If you go with points table then both teams have equal chances of winning today's game. But if we look at Punjab last game then it was complete disaster in batting except Shikhar Dhawan 99 runs. If PBKS continue to behave like that very soon the tournament will be over for them. GT have lost only one game and that is against KKR. That game went to very last ball. If I have to choose between GT and Punjab then I will go with GT.

I absolutely concur with you that Gujarat Titans appear to have an advantage over Punjab Kings when we look at both teams' recent performances. Unlike Gujarat Titans (GT) who had a more balanced lineup with numerous match winners, Punjab Kings (PBKS) largely leaned on Shikhar Dhawan in their most recent match. In addition, Punjab Kings' batting meltdown against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is concerning and they must immediately rebound if they want to remain in the running. Overall, I concur that the Gujarat Titans are the match's favourites.

It is true what you said that the two teams performed quite well and the quality of the players on the team was almost equal even before the match started, no one could or it was difficult to predict which team would win the IPL match this season.
Even though it is difficult to predict and it is not certain that the correct predictions can be made, I would say that Pujab Kings can win.
I have faith that the Pujab Kings can beat the Gujarat Titans even if only by a narrow margin.
Pujab Kings has provided at least proof that they have a pretty good winning history and can make me have more faith in them.

Completely agreed. Ambani is not doing anything unethical. It is a free market and anyone can come up with such schemes. The competitors (in this case, mostly Disney-Star and Sony LIV) are not angels. They have spiked their subscription fee manytimes in the past (and in case of Disney-Star platform Hotsar, that was done without any corresponding improvement in the quality). Whatever Jio earns in profit will remain in India, while Disney-Star and Sony are partly owned by foreign corporations.

BTW, I find it very interesting that you mentioned about Sunil Mittal. If he had provided services at affordable rates, then there would have been no vacuum for Ambani to take advantage of it. But he only cared about the short term benefits and was busy bribing the ruling party politicians of that time (2004-14).
