I apologize for this. I see people having problems with imgur as it can make the image corrupted.
I've never used imgur and I've used freeimagehost. I'm a little curious because when I compared the both, I saw that talkimg is very similar to freeimage.host.

Did most people here not know about freeimage.host before ? Maybe there are one or two things that are different but I see both websites as if they were built by people who have the same concept.  Grin Grin
Although I see talkimg is more trying to be a place to share images to Bitcointalk. Like having a feature to adjust the image size according to the forum.

I tried to search the Register button on the site but could only find the Sign In Option. Does this mean that the registration on the site is already private and only available for the bitcointalk members.
There's no option to register directly trough the website. You need to send a message over to joker_josue if you're interested in signing up for it[1].

If that is the case, then it is good that the site is exclusively built for bitcointalk members but anyone can upload the images on talkimg as sign in is not required to upload any image. Do we need restrictions on that part too?
Per joker_josue reply before, images that are posted outside the forum will eventually stop working because the service wasn't made to be used outside bitcointalk (thus avoiding unecessary burdon on the bandwidth and disk space). By registering you will be getting a private API which you can use, for example, to automatically upload images using programs such as ShareX (more information for that specific program here[2]).

Yes, I know that websites for images need cost a lot. Especially hosting costs. Hopefully you get support from other members. I can't help yet, maybe in the future...

I really like TalkImg, Very simple and easy to use. Moreover, there are no pop up ads like most image web hosts

Yes, the site was designed to be used on BitcoinTalk only. Although anyone can upload images, it turns out not to be very useful, since the images should only be visible in the forum. If someone tries to put the images somewhere other than BitcoinTalk, they won't be able to see them. Or if eventually "today" you see them, it doesn't mean that "tomorrow" will continue. Because the service is set up so that the images only work on Bitcointalk, and if it occasionally works elsewhere, it may only be temporary - I don't guarantee that they will work in the future.

Are all the services at TalkImg is free?

The site is working just fine and I used it couple of hours ago. Guess what; I am now using talk image to publish the images on micro tasking site where I am working as part time maker. They require us to post the images on their site as proof of task.
While I understand that you liked so much of the product that you want to spread awareness about it you should already have read on the OP the following entry:
 Account ____________________
This service is intended for exclusive use on BitcoinTalk, in this sense only forum users can have an account on TalkImg, for this reason the account creation option is not active for the general public. Users who want to have an account should contact joker_josue by PM to request it. The request will be evaluated and if approved the account will be created.
Load from external sources is an expense on joker_josue end that isn't feasible at all (considering the effort that it takes running the service for the forum alone).

Previously most of the users used imguru only but as we know it failed badly most of us turned towards other site. So just thought why not publish our fellow members Website. :-)

You would be happy to know that most of the users are slowly switching to your site as I am chatting with them about it. Thanks a lot.

฿itcoin for all, All for ฿itcoin.
How are you trying to access the site?
I tried visiting and image link and also visiting the default domain. It would load endlessly until a timeout error would appear. But I realized the problem might be from my ISP after all. For some reason, it's probably blocking the site, something it wasn't doing yesterday or a few days back. When I used the VPN, it now loads without any issues. Thanks.

I have tried different browser but still no response. It's the first time I am experiencing this, so I am feeling it's not my Internet service provider messing things up since I am even able to stream without any buffering.

Is this normal? The interface messed up.

The regular issue I find is the browser stuck on the window which keeps checking the request verification.

Please wait while your request is being verified...

I use tor connection with my firefox.

This could have been a failure to load the page locally.

Unfortunately, due to the security system of the server and the hosting company, sometimes the experience via Tor connection is not the best. I'm trying to improve that.

When this happens, what I can suggest is to close the browser and open it again, to avoid this situation. Sorry about the situation.

UPDATE 1.16
Based on user feedback, the following improvements have been made:

Added edit/resize button at image upload time. Before, you had to click on the image preview to edit, which was not very noticeable for users. Now, just click on the button for the effect with a pencil icon:

Improved the way to select links. Now it is more practical to select only part of the embed link manually, or continue to use the "Copy" button:

STATISTICS - May 2023
This was the launch month of TalkImg, more specifically the 28th of April, but let's take it all together as it all started in May.

It all started calmly with several users starting to test the service and see how it works. Modest growth was planned during the first few months, until everything changes on May 13th. Imgur decides to change its Terms and block the forum proxy, as well as start an image deletion plan. This motivates a mass adherence by the forum community to the use of TalkImg.

This sudden and unexpected change meant that the project's entire growth plan was rethought, forced to make a new investment to increase its response capacity, given the demand it was experiencing. Since then, the use of the service has been increasing daily. But, let's go to the numbers, to understand what happened.

Until the 13th of May, 1216 images had been uploaded.
On May 14th, 3160 images were uploaded, making a total of 4376 images.
Day 15, the pace slowed down as I had to go into maintenance mode to improve the service.
But after the maintenance was done, almost twice as many images were loaded. Of the 5941 images uploaded by the 15th, we now have a total of 11134 images uploaded by the end of the 16th.
And it has continued to grow to this day, with over 300~500 new images uploaded each day.

That said, here are the May 2023 totals:
Total Images - 17361
Disk Space - 4.7GB (~270kb/image)
Bandwidth - 240GB

I appreciate the support of the community.

This option is actually available before the upload, when everything is still being handled locally.
Also, it would only work if you only upload one image at a time. However, it is possible to send several images at the same time. So in reality, it would be more work for the user and eventually take longer for someone who doesn't want to make any changes.
I hadn't thought of the use case where a user makes several uploads at once. When that happens, for sure my recommendation isn't that great and it makes more sense to implement a suggestion similar to the one discussed/shared by LoyceV...

Here's another suggestion: Why not automatically display this window after uploading the image?:

Therefore, I suggest that the site be translated into different languages, especially since it does not contain much content and may be available in languages other than English.

The site is now available in several languages. It's true that maybe some aspects of the site may not be translated, because of some modifications I've made.
Perhaps, I will readjust this and provide a way for anyone who wants to collaborate in the translation.
