In my opinion, I think bitcoin will still be alive in the future because nowadays we all know that the bitcoin is taking over the crypto currency marketplace and most well-known digital currency. By that, many large company such as microsoft, reddit, wordpress.com considered bitcoin to be a way of payment. Also, it is just starting to spread and recognize by others so I guess it will not come to end although it faces obstacles right now. But soon day by day the bitcoin will prosper.
It is hard to predict what will happen to bitcoin. But for me, I got three predictions for the future of bitcoin
1. If there is no other cryptocurrencies that will rise more famous than bitcoin, Bitcoin will be the most used cyryptocurrency for all the world
2. If bitcoin will be more secure and legal, many investors will invest to bitcoin than any other currency.
3. If bitcoin will reign other cryptocurrences, it can dominate the whole world as one-world currency.
yes i agree.but i think everything is depend on the demand the prive and its value .considering that bitcoin is now the number one coin that has a great value.everybody wants to have it .that is why it is getting famous and everybody wanted to have it.this are the reason that its price rise amazing quite astonishing in time. 1. In my view as per news that i heard, the price of bitcoin will down a bit before august 1 but eventually goes up even higher. I see bitcoin at the price of $3000-$4000 this year, this is really possible, brace yourself and prepare for the good impact.
In addition, The bitcoin event which is the segwit will be 100% successful in my opinion because all over the world many bitcoin miners are agreeing with the bitcoin segwit because it will improve and upgrade the blockchain system and it is the solution for delay of transactions.

if the segwit successfully implemented on bitcoin , we can see what happenned to litecoin , stable price
expect the price of bitcoin to be $5000+ on upcoming months, I think it already reach $4800 in japan market months ago , so we should surely see a new all time high.

Now until August 1 will drop in price. It will be another attempt by the whales to make money on the panic. After August 1 will be steep price rise, and I think the whales raise the price to $ 3500-4000 and sell their coins, then price falls to real. This is my prediction.
Bitcoin prices have now stabilized, and will probably continue to happen. I may hope that in August, there was no significant price decline. Well, I predict that bitcoin price this year is above $ 3000. So keep the bitcoin you have
from the news and from technical analysis based on chart I could see that we will see a dip before the august 1 drama then after that maybe first week or second week of august we could see a heavy pump for bitcoin.

Well, no one can predict what will happen in bitcoin. However, I believe that the price of bitcoin will increase in the future and there are many people believe to that. As of now bitcoin is become very useful like you can use it in different kind of transaction. Lastly, bitcoin has a good potential and I think bitcoin is first cryptocurrency that has a high value.
I see bitcoin in the future become the major currency just as dollars is now. The future of bitcoin is very bright and we should hope it to be at $10,000 before 2020. The hardfork issues we are having currently may be see as block bitcoin need to clam before it becomes mainstream.
I agree with some comments at this thread and that my prediction for bitcoin in the future for its challenges would be if the government will rule bitcoin I'm sure it will be a big challenge for everyone, once it'll be centralized and taxed. I could just imagine. I just hope if ever that time comes, bitcoins price won't go down.
Bitcoin is designed for decentralization but one can question as to why many dramas are happening now. In the bitcoin system the miners are becoming the most powerful and can even fire bitcoin core if they want (orphan).
The present drama is happening just because of egwit2x not for any other reason. And it was expected people know this before only the price will fluctuate in a big margin. And here the miners part is not major thing it depends on users transactions wit for a couple of weeks this drama will end and good days will come.

I think the biggest obstacle that bitcoin might face is when government ruled the bitcoin. Because we can't do what we want to do if bitcoin is in the hands of corrupt people. It might be the downfall of bitcoin industry, they will limit us on what we can do. And I can't imagine bitcoin will drop its value everytime.

I think one of the future challenges that bitcoin might face in the future years is its adaptability with the growing number of transactions. Ever since bitcoin became more popular, more and more people got attracted to it even those who only knows bitcoin as an easy money but never really understand it. My sentiment is if the total number of bitcoins can adapt with the fast growing number of transactions.
The only obstacle that I think bitcoin might encounter is the legalization of it from different countries. It will still be long time I think where bitcoin will take over the world currency. The large growth of people who are using it is one of the reason why will bitcoin conquer the world currency.
Yeah that is true. Many countries are not yet legalizing the bitcoin and also the main obstacle is the people who not yet aware to what is the bitcoin. In my country the bitcoin is now legalized but many people in our country is still not yet aware to what is the bitcoin.
The experience had taught me, that when it come to the price, there are some constants to be aware of.
1. The dump preceedes the events. It is always planned.
2. When you are bombarded with the message of a great opportunity to invest on the youtube or even the mmorpgs, you should be cautious.
And that what is happening actually. Im bombarbed with the bitcoin over the youtube. I had even saw people using the public chat in Entropia Universe to advise the investment into bitcoin. There is writing on the wall of a double top, that has like an ideal timing on 1 august. I do not advise to panic, but be cautious guys.
I wish this was not true, but its seems like thats the scenario in the writting. My predictions is that bitcoin will be absolutely fine from a technical point of view, but some minor difficulties would be the signal to dump the price.
