What an amazing performance from borna coric on cincinnati he has almost a perfect score, he only lost one set against nadal and he was the underdog on all of his matches it seems that he regained his former shape and if he keep this up he will be the champion.

I watched the match on the ladies side between Swiatek and Keys. After Swiatek lost
the first set I put a bet on her to bounce back and win.

The second set was so weird, Keys went 0-5 up and was serving for the match then Swiatek
broke her. She sent her racquet to be restrung and I put a cheeky $1 bet on her again @ 6.0!
she won the next 3 games to bring that set to 4-5 but Keys was able to finish it.

So strange, early on Swiatek couldnt serve, couldnt hit a winner and then to turn a switch
and do the opposite, unfortunately she left it too late.

That is not uncommon at all in Women tennis. The amount of breaks you will see is sometimes just ridiculous and I already have seen numerous comebacks from 5-0 down. Sometimes you also see this on the Men side but a lot less.

True, but this is the Women number 1 seed, and she should serve and hold. But it seems that she has to cake a comeback and she is not against a unseeded player. And yes it was too late for him to recover after getting down 5-0 in that match. What is strange is if she makes that comeback and win that game. But it's good the Keys didn't lost his focus on that set and just needed 2 points to win her game against the number 1 player right now.

I dont know what is wrong with Swiatek, ever since she lost the winning streak on wimbledon she just cannot get back on her track. I was expecting a downfall but this is just many losses for her. Since Rolan Garros she didnt win a title or played well.

Hmm, hard to say, she won against a tough opponent prior to Keys match, and it was against Sloane. But suddenly, she went cold against Madison? Probably it is what we saw in majority of top women in the last 10 years, maybe except Williams, they are very inconsistent and that is also the reason why the top seed in women keeps changing. So let's see if she can bounce back mentally after her streak has ended. Need more motivations for her I guess, or maybe she is burn out?

5-0 is a bit too late to be honest, on a fast court like it is on most US hard courts. That too with Keys playing comparatively consistently to her normal self. Seems like home courts do have a significant advantage for most players. Pre match, I was expecting Swiatek to get to the finals at least, since she's got impeccable technique to change the balls direction and is very light on her feet to chase the balls down. from the highlights I watched of Kvitova in the tournament, I think whoever wins between Keys and Kvitova would take the tournament.

Currently, she is no 1 but still after losing quarterfinal at home against Garcia she is not giving her best and losing matches regularly even key is good veteran player and right now doing good but still it's very poor from World No 1 as she is losing her best and allowing opponents to trash her badly she has broken five times in both sets which is the worst for no 1 player. In another match, World no 5 Jabeur also lost against another veteran player Kvitova even this match ended in three sets but still Kvitova play amazing game and not allowed Jabeur to give her best with score of 6 - 1, 4 - 6 and 6 - 0.

Now after few minutes Key is going to face Rybakina which is also very exciting player and having some good wins in last few matches with Kvitova going to face Tomljanovic for place in semifinal.

How many bets detroy Casper Ruud? my god! losing against a top 250 player.

I follow the other match between Murray and Corrie, i really support Murray for his comeback, but Cameron was so much.

For Kirgios.... yes he his own enemy but this was a match he can lose against a good player.
He simply didn't play well enough but the opponent a university player(who hasn't turned pro yet) played consistently throughout the match while Ruud kept making errors. Simple as that. Just very poor from a world no.5.
I watched that Ruud match and I was really impressed by his opponent. Ruud wasn't on his best but you can't say he was bad, it was more a case of great shot making from his opponent. I was waiting for him to start making errors and planned to put a bet on Ruud in that moment but Shelton never wavered.

He impressed me enough to seriously consider backing him all the way to the final. Either ML or handicaps

This looks really really one-sided right now for Fritz. I am also quite surprised as I thought Fritz might be running into trouble defending Kyrgios' serves. I think Kyrgios' strength regarding the serves can also turn into his weakness. We have seen that against Djokovic in Wimbledon. When he hits his serves it is almost impossible to defend him. He collects countless aces or easy points that way. But if he doesn't hit the serves well, he sometimes seems a bit lost against players who are very strong at longer rallies. Still fun to watch him and I guess he will also play an interesting role at the US open.

That was a pretty quick 51 minutes. I cannot even tell if Kyrgios was tired or bored. In any case, it was a match without highlights. I had already thought that Fritz was the favourite. But I did not think it would be that easy for him.
And that Nadal would lose. I did not think that either.
Lots of surprises for us in this tournament, as for Nadal, I guess he is just trying to see if he can get back to his old form after missing a lot of games. He did try, but it seems he is out of rhythm but it goes that at least he stay and remain very positive for the US Open.

For Nick, just woke up in the wrong side of the bed. He seems to be very angry with his coach, the girl friend and then the crowd get involved.

Yea I watched parts of this throughout, at the end it looked like Nick had a few small
issues with his foot and knee. Anyway he got heckled by the crowd. Was he saving himself
from getting injured further and possibly missing the US Open? possibly. There is
also a question over his fitness too. I didnt bet on this one although I was looking at
a handicap on Fritz.

I did have a bet on this one, I like most others was expecting this to be a formality,
crazy how he lost that.

Look like Cincinnati is hell for upsets as we have some good number of players out of touch and losing easily which is surely unrecoverable for many punters they were not expecting things like this Ruud C, Hurkacz and now Nadal all gone and give big loses.

Coric.. what a waste of a quality talent came back with bang and give Nadal shocking defeat,
Few years back I was big fan of Coric as he was one of the best player but due to some reasons he fails to give his best and disappear from front now back after few years and have good come back with Kyrgios also lost against Fritz.
Now line up is completed for next round with some good exciting matches which can give some more shocking results as players are trying to have some better way before start of US Open.

Count me in as one of those tennis bettors who lost a bet on Nadal. Perhaps he has some rust along the way, nevertheless we will not take anything away from Coric, he won the game in a 3 sets. And he said in post game interview that he will take this lost and move forward although it will be difficult. And he should move forward, because the next grand slam is just along the corner and this is the tournament that Nadal should be aiming.

Kyrgios has great difficulty behaving correctly on the tennis court. Recently, there have also been several rumors that he may have misbehaved outside the tennis court, but that has nothing to do with his attitude on the court. I think he is respectful towards opponents in his own right, but he wants to win too much and can come across as irritable at times. you would think that in the long run that will no longer be the case, but every time Kyrgios starts playing tennis, there is a sensation. The question is when things will really get out of hand on the tennis court. Probe, because he's extremely talented and doesn't need those fights at all.

It's no rumor, as it is well documented, in and out of the court behavior of Nick.

But as we all know, lately he has been on a tear, winning a tournament trophy in the first week of August. And so we might think that he is having a good year. Unfortunately, Fritz is the better man and in less than an hour, dispatches Nick, you can hear the boos from the crowd though because of his antics again, as he directed his anger to someone for the crowd.

Kyrgios is his own enemy. Mentally at least. He got into an argument with the chair umpire about not doing his job properly and even pissed off the chair umpire. He completely lost the plot from there. Double faults in a row and then just gave up on the points after. Never seemed to recover after that.

Yes, we've seen him last take throughout the years, when we thought that he is making a good comeback as far his tennis career, he then goes into another argument, then he totally lost everything for that.

Later we will see Rafael Nadal vs Coric, good match, might be interesting game for Nadal. Let's see, -4.5 for Rafa. Just minimum beat for me to enjoy the game.
