I have a bet on Kyrgios today and would love to check out that match. Should be a good one.

watching football, so just checking on scores, but it seems that Fritz is going to express Kyrgios out from Cinci, it is 40 minutes in the match, and already close to finish

Tsitsipas took first set over Krajinovic, but I do not think that everything is settled there, Krajinovic can make a comeback and take second set, for Nick, I do not see that possibility, looking at score
Yeah, I expected something like that. I just watched first game of second set and turned it off. Worst decision making I have ever seen, starts with double fault, looses 2 points with totally unforced errors and then finishes with another double fault.

Never again on my ticket no matter what he says. If he really wanted to prove he can play good tennis he wouldn't be doing this shit.

Hey guys, anybody got some good streaming links for tennis?
My TV provider just lost a bundle of programs that was covering me for tennis so I need a good stream to bridge over until I find some new subscription.

This looks really really one-sided right now for Fritz. I am also quite surprised as I thought Fritz might be running into trouble defending Kyrgios' serves. I think Kyrgios' strength regarding the serves can also turn into his weakness. We have seen that against Djokovic in Wimbledon. When he hits his serves it is almost impossible to defend him. He collects countless aces or easy points that way. But if he doesn't hit the serves well, he sometimes seems a bit lost against players who are very strong at longer rallies. Still fun to watch him and I guess he will also play an interesting role at the US open.

Couple of interesting matches yesterday. Carreno Busta was playing Kecmanović and lost,
I'd say a lot of people lost on that one. In fairness I thought he would win that one too
after his tournament win in Montreal, but we have seen it before where a player fails to refocus
himself from the high of winning a tournament then being back in the rounds of another trying to
battle to get to the finals at least.

Also Kyrgios beat Fokina in 2 sets, I watched the start of the match and I have to say Nick
wasnt the most positive but he got the job done and faces Fritz next !
It is not just refocus thing. Never bet on players that played final in previous tournament. If anything bet against them every single time when there are back to back tournaments. That actually means that player plays final in the evening on Sunday, then has all the recovery and conferences and maybe a little celebrating. New tournamnet already starts next day, orgnisers give those players a free first day but they have to play on next day.

That meens that Busta probably traveled on Monday and had to play on Tuesday with just one training and after all that I mentioned before while his opponent probably came a week earlier and trained/rested for all that time.

Yes, and we have seen this in the last couple of tournaments in both sides. After winning the trophy and we thought that the player has the momentum and then suddenly lost in the first round. And we speculate what could be the reasons, and maybe that's one, celebrating after winning and then goes on the next tournament with some jet lag or not enough time to acclimatized himself to the new place.

So I guess we should be in Nick again and bet on him in this tournament until he losses?  Cheesy

@Rabi3 maybe sports book were expecting Wawrinka to beat Murray, and that’s why they gave decent odds on Murray. Furthermore while these two are well past their prime, but yesterday they rolled back the year’s to give us a competitive match and now let’s see how far does Murray go in this tournament, but personally I feel that he won’t make it to the finals what do you’ll think?.

Well, it seemed that it was a very close match between both but it could be that the next round can already be the end station for Murray as he needs to play against the nr 9 seed Norrie.
I like to see Murray play but his body is just done. So he will be able to win a couple of matches but I doubt he will be able to win a (big) tournament

A classic game today between wawrinka and murray, even if both players are not what they used to be especially wawrinka they managed to put quite the show, it was a really competitive match that ended with a 2 1 win for murray but it wasn't easy at all, even the odds were really close and am sure gamblers managed to win some money.
I was surprised to see Murray's odds to win @1.5, I thought it was going to be lower considering the fact the Wawrinka been out of competitions in the last few years and Murray on the other hand played well on some grand slams and big tournaments, Wawrinka did put up a good fight though with Murray, but sadly Stan is not the man anymore 😔

I had two bets on yesterday, Murray to beat Wawrinka and Norrie to beat Rune.

I watched most of Murrays win, it was a great match, the skills on display by
both were amazing, Wawrinka's single handed backhand is still amazing and
Murrays running shots and volleys are too along with his serve which in the
end got him the win IMO.

Now we all can move to Cincinnati where too many exciting matches going to play after few hours I am waiting for match between Wawrinka vs Murray Two veteran players are going to face each other.

Yes, the two "recoverers" in action against each other. I have a bet on for Andy to win.
It seems to me that Andy is far more advanced in his recovery and he might be at his
maximum now but Stan still has a bit to go.
These two have played against each other during the year 2020 in the Rolland Garros France Open. The court was outdoor clay and in this match Wawrinka won the match. The odds for the upcoming match was in favour of Murray @1.40 whereas for Wawrinka @3.10 which is quite high. Someone is going to be lucky if the bookmakers prediction goes wrong.

It looks like everyone is here for the tournament and Kyrgios is set to play Davidovich Fokina
in the round od 64 matches but no date, I would actually expect him to win that if his head is right!

Quite surprised to see Carreno Busta win today in the National Bank Open.
I thought Daniel Evans would of taken him out in yesterday's match but he some how pulled threw with a victory.
Was going to put Hurkacz to win because the oddsmakers were very much thinking he was the better player at 1.45x odds on him to win the finals, but Busta worked out of Hurbert's service games to pull threw once again.
Not a surprise to hear that another unseeded player made it far in as this was the case all tournament long starting from the very first round.
A very good final between two quality players even most of the fans were feeling about Hurkacz will do this but at the end Busta smashed this all in good way and give good encouragement to many followers about their bets which were on over I was also sure about this as both are good players and having good fair chance about this. As Hurkacz won first set easily there was chance he will do this again in second set but Busta break first serve and then never allow him to fight back with in third set he has again done early and then at last point he breaks again without any big trouble which help him for clinching this title.

Now we all can move to Cincinnati where too many exciting matches going to play after few hours I am waiting for match between Wawrinka vs Murray Two veteran players are going to face each other.

Zverev is the same type of guy but not as bad as Kyrgios.

Hopefully Zverev will be able to play on the court again soon. After tearing 3 external ligaments in his ankle in June, he hopes to return soon. Maybe he will make it in time for the US Open at the end of August. He is in training again and will make a decision in 10 days. He definitely wants to play in the Davis Cup group matches in Hamburg in mid-September.

Also taking into account that Djokovic won't play, chances are quite good for Zverev to make it pretty far during the US Open. The big IF is whether he can trust his ankle again. Everyone who had injury knows what I am talking about. It is not so much about the injury being cured, it is all about psychology that afterwards needs to be worked on so hard. When you broke your leg in soccer, it is hard to give 100%.

In order for Zverev to really have a chance to win the title, he would have to be at his absolute best and trust his ankle 110%. All the movements that are so important in tennis involve the ankle and its flexibility and stability. I also hope the best for him.

Are you sure that Djokovic will not perform at the US Open?  Grin
News comes from America that Djokovic will still be able to play at the US Open. Looks like a big change just happened with the Covid rules. You have more details here:
Source: https://www.msn.com/en-in/sports/other/us-open-big-boost-to-novak-djokovic-s-participation-after-usa-confirms-changes-to-covid-norms/ar-AA10CIUW

''The American authorities have decided they will not discriminate between those who have taken the COVID jab and those who are yet to. Thus, this will pave way to allow the 2022 Wimbledon champion Djokovic to take part in the mega event, which will get underway on August 29.''

I have read the same news on several different internet portals and I think they are credible sources of information.
So, if nothing dramatically changes at the last moment, Djokovic will still be able to play in the tournament in America.
Obviously, a very exciting and uncertain tournament awaits us. What do you think?

The whole back and forth is really crazy. I just hope that everyone is treated equal in front of the law. If the law says one can't travel to the US without being vaccinated, then that is what it is. Be it Djokovic or anyone else, I just wouldn't like if someone is treated differently just because he or she is a star in sports or an actor or whatever.

Regarding the quality of the tournament, surely Djokovic would always raise the level even at his age. He would be the favorite at the US Open automatically. I don't know yet whether it is possible or not, but most here would probably agree with me that we would love to see a US Open final between Nadal and Djokovic. Damn imagine how much pressure there would be on both players.
I know they repeatedly claim that the total number of Grand Slams won isn't everything, but come on, both would be extremely nervous if they meet at the final in the US Open. I would argue if Nadal were to take that home against Djokovic, it would be extremely hard for Djokovic to still overtake him in total GS won. That would be the tennis match of the year for sure, if not of the decade who knows. A real thriller would be so amazing between the two. Maybe wishful thinking at this point in time though.

I think that many neutral tennis fans wish for such an outcome, that Djokovic be allowed to play at the US Open and that he and Nadal decide in the final who is the best tennis player of all time.
It was easier for Nadal to win this year's GS in Australia because Djokovic was banned from playing there, but it would be much better if there were no restrictions and if the question of the best tennis player was resolved on the tennis courts, and not by the judiciary.
If Nadal win the GS in America, he would probably become unattainable in terms of the number of GS titles, given that he is untouchable in Paris and considering their age and the new young tennis players coming.

It is not decided by the judges. It is currently decided by Djokovic alone. He refused to get vaccinated and that's fine. Rules apply to all players equally and Nadal got vaccinated and adhered to the rules that applied to every human being around the planet, which is right.

Whatever Djokovic's concerns were or still are, it has been the name of the game for a reason regarding the vaccination. It is not about whether I am for or against it, but Federer and Nadal knew about the role they have in global perception and followed through with their vaccination. It obviously didn't keep Nadal from winning tournaments, but as I said that's solely Djokovic's decision. Making an exception specifically for him would send an awful signal to the rest of the population. People can't go into restaurants, but Djokovic can travel the world and play Grand Slams? Wouldn't work out very well if you ask me. We will see what the next couple of days bring.

Pablo Carreño Busta finally made the win. The bookmakers as well as the bettors were much into Hurkacz winning the match. Things happened in the opposite way, so it could've been a big win for all the bettors who believed Pablo Carreño Busta will win the match. The odds could've gone above 3 when Pablo Carreño Busta lost the first set. The much expected Hurkacz Canadian Open trophy win have come to an end.

That's sports for you, I myself have Hurkacz as handicap and when I saw the first set, I though it will be an easy win for him. And so it was a complete opposite as if Carreno-Busta found his rhythm and neutralizes Hurkacz and even have some unbelievable shot. Anywho, it is what is it, at least for those who beat on Nick winning made some money until he lost to Hurkacz. And congrats for those who bet on the underdog Carreno-Busta as he has a good odds.

Yes I was thinking the same. This is his first win this year and is not someone I think of
as being a finalist in any of the tournaments but Hurkacz is in my mind a finals candidate.
I didnt bet on this one, really didnt know how it would end.

In the womens tournament in Toronto Halep won the final there beating Haddad Maia over
3 sets. I watched most of the match and it looks like Halep "is back".
