At the moment there is a very nice match going on between Sinner and Alcaraz. For me, Alcaraz was the favorite before the start of the match, but it was Sinner who led 2-0 in sets and also got 2 match points in the 4th set. He was unable to cash in on them and the Spaniard eventually won the set. By the way, Alcaraz was leading 6-3 in the tiebreak of the 3rd set and then it almost went wrong. But now it is 2-1 in sets for Sinner and it could still fall either way. Right now they are playing a very long game.

Probably this set Will decided on tue break!

Sonego has been penalized by Nadal , he was really upset After this discussion the Italian lost a break point.
This year many players are nervous likewise another match complicated was bublik vs tiafoe ...

I have two bets on the Alcaraz v Sinner match today, I'm not sure if its the right way to
be betting? Alcaraz on ML @1.38 and Sinner on +7.5 @ 1.28, I think they are safe enough
bets. I took Sinner +7.5 yesterday and Alcaraz on ML after that.

I watched part of the Nadal match and yea he was fairly clinical although missed some
basic enough shots too. I then saw the last 3 sets of Tsitsipas v Kyrgios match, such
a spectacle which was guaranteed really. We have been through the Kyrgios discussion
before but I think his attitude is part of his game plan to put his opponent off and it kind
of worked yesterday, it was chaos at times.

There are some interesting matches today i think norrie vs tommy paul is a close one especially with the performance paul is showing i think he can even win today and the odds are good, there is also alcaraz who is on a momentum this year and he seem invincible i think i will take a risk and make a bet on them.

Finally a perfect betting day yesterday, hoping to keep it up today as well.

I am playing on Alcaraz against Sinner, Sinner is limited player in my opinion and Alcaraz should win this with some games to spare. I have simple ML on high ticket and -1.5 set handicap on lower stake ticket. On women's side I am thinking Jabour should win against Mertens without much complications and I am taking her -3.5 @1.6.

Guys are you watching Kyrgios? I know Nadal is magnet for viewers but believe me there is more to be seen in this match. We have some nice points, some strange points and of course a lot of controversy. Kyrgios just took second set and then made a circus. He even said he want play another point before they bring him another supervisor, all that after throwing profanities at line judges whole match.

With Kyrgios, fun is guaranteed, regardless of whether he wins or loses a match  Grin
Kyrgios, in my opinion, is one of the most talented tennis players born recently. If he was mentally stronger, and had better work habits, like the big three of world tennis, I have no doubt that he would have achieved much more in tennis.
Tsitsipas made a mistake in this match because he dealt too much with things that have nothing to do with tennis, he talked too much and focused too little on his game. In such crazy matches, Kyrgios is always the favorite.
It seems that a new classic is approaching, Djokovic vs. Nadal  Cheesy

I never have any doubt about his quality and skills but sadly his mentality having some serious trouble about his qualities and skills because mostly he has done things which are no accepted and as he has done in this match still it's having issues with this win most of the time having attacks on chair referee and doing things which are surely having bad impact on his game and Judges he has still done good job and now reach in fourth round where he can do good with chance of going to against De Minaur in quarterfinal.

Nadal having some problems in early matches but now in last match he was superb and give no chance to his opponent for having any serious trouble for him.

It looks increasingly like the men's semis will be: Djokovic vs Norrie, and Kyrgios vs Nadal... and then Djokovic vs Nadal final. Barring injury, the only way I can see this not happening is if Alcaraz somehow beats Djokovic, and if Krygios blows up. If Alcaraz gives Djokovic a long, tough match in the quarters, then I might give Norrie a slight chance in the semi.

On the women's side, with Swiatek out it's difficult to look beyond Jabeur as the winner. I do think Garcia is a potential threat, but she would meet Jabeur in the quarters. Bottom part of the darw has been blown wide open, and there's some chance of Heather Watson making the semis.

Today it was again a pleasure at Wimbledon. Gasquet apparently still plays tennis. Perhaps the most experienced player of anyone entering the tournament right now. He couldn't make it against van de Zandschulp. Party went on for a long time. He probably has to play against Nadal now. Tomorrow Djokovic will play against van Rijthoven. You can bet that the entire tennis world is looking forward to that match. And van Rijthoven doesn't seem to be impressed by anyone at the moment. But against Djoko?

Gasquet lost to van de Zandschulp in 4 sets, he won the second set though enough to cover the handicap spread.

My boy Tsitsipas is out already, thanks, to Nick, he is playing great in this tournament guys, we shouldn't overlook him this time. He will be facing Nakashima, so his chances are good to go to the quarterfinals.

As for the Swiatek defeat:

Quote
"I have no words right now, It reminds me of the time I beat Serena on the same court, eight years ago exactly. This court is a lucky charm for me," Cornet said after the win.

n 2014, the Frenchwoman defeated then No. 1 Serena Williams at Court One to advance to her first career Round of 16 of the grand slam. With the victory, Cornet improves to 4-3 in her career against world no. 1's

https://edition.cnn.com/2022/07/02/tennis/iga-swiatek-defeat-wimbledon/index.html

So history repeats itself.

Really a powerfull performence by Nick Kyrgios in this round against Tsitsipas. Didnt expect from him to be on a such a good level especially against such a hard opponent. I dont understand only how Tsitsipas had more aces then Kyrgios. Its normal that he fights with refs and supervisors he likes to be in the middle of attention.
kyrgios is now 4-1 in h2h games against Tsitsipas, the Greek man couldn't crack the code of Nick, he also beat him not too long ago in Halle, but I still don't think that Kyrgios would be a strong competitor for big tournaments like these, I don't expect from him that much.

I didn't watch whole match but checked it time to time, Nadal was superior and had an easy game. Sonego was like a rookie against Nadal, when he got his first point after nine failed rounds his joy was funny. He tried to fire up fans like he won the game. Anyway it's normal when guys like this play against a legend.
Tsitsipas got eliminated early to Kyrgios. It looks like we have another Djokovic - Nadal final waiting for us. When I check fourth round I don't see any other player who can go to grand final.

So Novak Djokovic is playing another good game against Kecmanovic. He won the first set by class,  6-0 and the 2nd set is in progress with 4-3 in favor of Djokovic.

I have a gut feeling, that he will win the title though he may not be in his best of forms like in previous years. Whom you people consider favorites ?

Novak Djokovic is the main favorite to win the title and with how he his playing i dont see anyone coming close to him at all.
Nadal is looking really bad,Alcaraz isnt so good on grass. Berrettini due to covid is out so i honestly dont see anyone beating him.
Nadal isn't that bad. He have played good against Berankis. Possibly the finals will be between Nadal and Djokovic. Most of the odds were in favour of Novak Djokovic to win Wimbledon.

So here we are in the Centre court where Nadal in playing against Sonego in a third round match. So far so good for Nadal as he has won the first set 6-1 and looking strong in the second set also with lead of 2-0.
The point to note in this match is Nadal win of first Serve ratio is 87% as opposed to LorenzoSonego 33% only. Nadal seems to gain form as the tournament progresses.

An interesting outcome on the swiatek game indeed she was on a huge winning streak she dominated competitions both on hard and clay but it seems the change in court had an impact on her performance and broke her momentum, still cornet had some good result on grass lately so we should give her credit, beating the number one player at her peak is no easy task.

Big news from Wimbledon on wta. Swiatek was just knocked out out by Alize Cornet with a result of 4-6 2-6. This ends the 40+ match winning streak by Swiatek. Swiatek was playing so bad i think she just beat herself,i guess a bad day can happen to even the best.

tomorrow we could see if Alcaraz will actually be able to compete at high levels also on this surface...
The challenge against Sinner could be somewhat insidious, even if it actually starts as a favorite ... as an Italian, obviously I support Sinner Smiley
for sure it will be a nice tennis match!

Djokovic really won today with playful ease. If you see his matches or look at the results, you would say that he has won against someone who is number 250 in the world. But today's opponent was certainly not a bad player, he was just 30th in the world ranking. I'm looking forward to the next round, when Djokovic will play against van Rijthoven, who is currently beating everything and everyone that stands in his way. This is a party that can go either way. Also 3-0 for van Rijthoven would be possible.

I think you're being a little too optimistic here  Grin
Djokovic is always the favorite in Wimbledon, against all players, similar to Nadal in Paris.
I agree, van Rijthoven is a very good player, but I think it's still too early for him.
On the other hand, Alcaraz is clearly ready for big things and he will be a much tougher opponent for Djokovic.
As for the other results, I'm surprised how easily Gauff lost to Anisimov today.
I expected much more from her.
Can't wait to see the match between Kyrgios and Tsitsipas.
I'm sure we'll see some exciting tennis  Grin
