there is a few interesting pairs today, Peniston @1.65 is a good value, but there are few others that I am looking at

Isner @3, or at least handicap on him, would not be an easy task for Murray to break many Isner serves, and Kokkinakis handicap as well (although this could be a booger, if he breaks down during the match, maybe taking one set has better chances to pass)

Alcaraz did not show much in first round, but @1.35 is great value today

I have been following the German player Otte lately. This year he is in his best form and he won clearly in 3 sets against Peter Gojowczy in the first round at Wimbledon. That was also the first time his year. he did not need a tiebreak on grass.
Today he is playing against Christian Harrison. He certainly has a lot of self-confidence because he also won in 3 sets in the first round.
But Otte should win the match today.

I saw the latter stages of the match, and yes, she was getting quite emotional. I wonder if she was thinking 'This is my last Wimbledon'. If she was just a bit rusty at the start of her comeback, and thinking she could return to Wimbledon for the next couple of years, and fight for titles, then she wouldn't have that sort of reaction. I think maybe it was quite revealing, and she knows it's time to retire. I'm wondering if she will make an announcement after the US Open later this year.

Personally, I wouldn't have comeback in the first place and I think you are right, it is time to retire and her perfect farewell would be in her home country during the US Open. She has not nothing to prove anymore and the chances that she wins another grandslam are very slim also.

Serena just started her match and i hope she is just rusty. At the moment her level of play is not enough to win even a couple of games against opponent like Harmony Tan. If she does not have a higher gear anymore this will be one sad final match.

it is quite possible that she only needs to put some games behind her to get the feel back. Too bad I can't watch this one live, seems like there will be some great opportunities for live betting.

And well, Serena lost the match against Harmony Tan, 7-5, 1-6, 7-6 (10-7). I thought at least she will not exit this early, but I guess he is rusty and doesn't have the body to compete anymore.

She has a good change in the 3rd though as she broke Tan for a 5-4 lead, but then again, Harmony comes back to tie the score at 5-5. And then she lead 4-0 in the tie break, but Tan has some still in her bag with those winners.

Yea I watched the second and third sets only because herself was watching. I had
a +5.5 on Tan from earlier yesterday and didnt have anything in my wallet to bet
live. IDK but Serena's "comebacks" have been way over hyped for the last few years
IMO. There is no chance she can win another GS, there are far too many capable challengers
now.

Tan did really well, what got her the win was her mental ability to stay in the game and
believe in herself. Serena though still had some brilliant winners, she can still hit them
from anywhere on the court. IDK I think Serena looked far too emotional in the last set, she
wasnt able to conceal it really but she wasnt happy that it was taking so long and the fact
that it was so close and her dream was hanging in the balance at various stages towards the end.

I was of those who thinks that Serena could have one good win. Just one win to gain her confidence back in Wimbledon. And the thing that got here is in mental ability, but her body seems to be not cooperating.

Serena though seems to be emotional in close fight, maybe that's one way of here trying to overcome her fear of losing.

And then we have this one,  Kyrgios defends spitting at fan during first-round win as officials ponder fines.

So it ends up being a sad final match and it seems a shame that she did win the second set by a superior margin (or,,, maybe Tan was just conserving her strength). BBC was all over this coverage on the global page and when she lost the page immediately went out of the front  Grin

At the end of the day this was a match between a 24 year old ranked below 90 and a 40 year old ranked below 400,,, I respect her a lot but she has to retire now I think or risk worsening her endline reputation.

Frankly, it is quite sad that the majority of the names that can make difficulties for Djokovic in the Wimbledon can't go on in the tournament anymore. Even though Rafael Nadal won yesterday, he started to perform badly after the middle of the 3rd set. However he still managed to recover. I hope that he doesn't experience this kind of performance drops a lot. If Nadal also says goodbye to the tournament in some way the quality of the tournament would decrease on a large scale compared to the previous years.

About "dark horse" a tennis player who could play an excellent tournament here at Wimbledon is "the other Italian" Grin or Jannik Sinner! He could be a really tough opponent and I wouldn't be surprised if he makes it to the semifinal... personally I love his powerfull tennis, and I think this could be a good chance for him...

Today there were some nice matches at Wimbledon. In recent years it has usually been a battle against the weather, because it often rains. It is my understanding that the Center Court and another court can now be covered in case of rain. And I also understand that tennis is again on Sunday, previously there was a Sunday in the tournament that tennis was not allowed. I don't know why, but that rule has now been abolished. That way you have an extra day to build in if it starts to rain.

Nothing has happened to Nadal, he's won the first two sets against Cerundolo and we're heading into the third set now.

Nadal won this match in for sets 6-4, 6-3, 3-6 and 6-4. Though Nadal qualified for the 2nd round but i think Cerundolo  stretched the match and gave a bit of a tough time to Nadal. I am saying this because this was just the first round which Nadal should have won more comfortably.
Also i saw Nadal slipped in the match couple of times which shows that he is not fully fit and this may be concerning when he move up in the rounds.

Just curious to know What happened to Nadal?
By the way, he just won the first round match against Cerundolo 6-4, 6-3 and was looking in good form too.

Nothing has happened to Nadal, he's won the first two sets against Cerundolo and we're heading into the third set now.

It's just there is some concern over his fitness, with the injury he's been managing, and after he effectively won the French Open on one foot, with no feeling in the other. The pre-Wimbledon surgery apparently went well, which is why he's playing now... but it's difficult to tell whether his body will be able to hold up for seven matches in a fortnight, which is what it takes to win the tournament. If he can stay fit, then he's certainly one of the favourites to win the thing... but we just don't know for sure whether he'll hold up.

Norrie is an obvious pick, had him weeks ago on scanner, and now it seems that SF is an easy target for him

but yeah, this one does seem as Djokovic - Nadal in final, let's see Nadal today

FAA is having Nadal on his SF way, but will interesting who will pass from Berrettini quarter - Shapovalov could be the one, but basically anyone can enter SF from that quarter

With Nadal there is also a factor of health. We don't have any idea about his condition - we only know it is deteriorating more rapidly recently.

If he is healthy he should reach the final - but on grass and on an off day against a good server I can see him dropping out if he is not physically at 100%.

Just curious to know What happened to Nadal?
By the way, he just won the first two sets round match against Cerundolo 6-4, 6-3 and was looking in good form too.
Anyways this covid thing has badly affected the tournament and we will miss some key players this season.

@buwaytress - your bet is safe now anyway !

With Berrettini out that leaves a bit of a void for Nadal to fill, that side of the draw favours
Nadal even more now

Ah man! I just found out now checking on things and coming back to this crappy piece of news. Think the Nadal backers will be rejoicing, but what a shame for Wimbledon to be missing so many already after the first hurdle...

I suppose I should be happy I did put the very first outright on Djokovic. Now he'll only have himself to blame if he doesn't actually go on to win it.

Don't even want to watch it anymore and it is still first round. Worst grand slam ever on men's side gonna have to switch to women's side of a draw Cry

agree that this Wimbledon will probably be remembered as one of the worst, but for Djokovic it is just the title that counts

nevertheless, Kokkinakis could make Djokovic troubles tomorrow, if he serve well, Djokovic lost too much his serves in first round, and similar play against Kokki, with 17 aces that Kokkinakis had first round could lead to more lost sets for Djoko, hardly a loss, but even that is possible

One of the few big names left standing on the men's side, Kyrgios isn't looking too great at the moment either. He lost the first set, but won the next two and it's currently on serve in the fourth (he's 3-2 down). He's also ranting to himself about the state of the grass. He's also playing against a Brit (who is ranked 219), so the chances of the crowd rooting for Krygios seem pretty slim.

Looks like the chances of a trademark implosion are rising...

Berrettini is out of Wimbledon after testing positive for Covid.

I hope that no more players will be eliminated from the tournament because of Corona. The other players will now be even more careful and also consider when they had contact with Berrettini.
It is a pity that he can not longer playing and the tension is less now. Berrettini could have gone very far.

And we also know he took pictures with his arm around Berrettini  couple of days ago. Would not be surprised if we loose Nadal to covid as well.

With Berrettini out I feel like this Wimbledon lost last real title contender except from Djoko. Don't even want to watch it anymore and it is still first round. Worst grand slam ever on men's side gonna have to switch to women's side of a draw Cry
