^^ I guess it's better for her to take a break and let that injury heal first before making a comeback, otherwise it will just haunt her down and maybe it will have a toll on his mind and body and won't be able to get back to her old form. Maybe it was the 'curse' of the US Open for women, or just maybe bad luck on her side for having that blisters on her hand.

I don't think the blisters is luck really, she has been suffering from them a few times this season. We have to remember that her body is not used to the rigours of the professional tour yet, it will take time for her to get used to it not just mentally, but also physically. Remember her matches this week were her first ever on clay at the top level, which just sounds crazy. She doesn't even really know how to move on the surface, it is a huge learning curve.

I'm confident we will see her back up near the top, and I'm sure she is capable of being a top 10 player and challenging regularly for slams... but what she needs now is time. It may be a year or two before we start to see her potential in anything other than brief flashes.

surely it will be an interesting match and Fokina is in a moment of really good form ... it will be my impression but he really had a lot of difficulty games before reaching the final...

the greek Tsistipas starts as a strong favorite @1.22 but I think they will fight also during this match
Tsitsipas won it in the end without much problems. It looked a couple of times that Fokina will manage to make it more competitive but it was just for the spell of couple games. Not enough to really challenge Tsitsipas. I had a bet of +5.5 on Fokina so it passed and another one on his win which did not. Great tournament for both of them.

Looking forward to Barca and Belgrade next week. Some nice matches in store for us. We should finally see Thiem back in action.

Yeah, I thought that the match will go on a three set specially on how Fokina made a comeback in the second to force a tie break. I'm glad he did because I have a Over 21.5 bet on the match at 2.03 boosted, and I thought that I have lost it already because Tsitsipas is taking control already.

Oh so Thiem will come back? That's good news for his fans.

And congrats again for those who won some sats in this tournament. Overall, it was a good one for me.

Tsitsipas won today against Davidovich Fokina in two sets. The second set went to
a tie break which was the decider.

I felt Fokina's confidence/performance dipped half way in the second half and was beaten
3-6. With the first set score and the tie break in the second my handicap bet just about made
it (+4.5)
it was an easy win for Tsitsipas to defend his title and points, Fokina is a moody guy you can't trust him in every match, ee haven't seen Tsitsipas winning a title since quite some time, seems like Monte Carlo is his favorite tournament now, I hope he keeps the same spirit on other tournaments and stop taking long time toilet breaks after sets and get some decent shoes lol

in the end Tsistipas won in two sets even if in the second there was a tighter competition.
Fokina has achieved a great result given his current ranking and the opponents he has met so far

Poor Emma, there was a lot of expectation on her and she probably pushed herself too
far and too hard. I think she still has a very bright future if she looks after herself and
has the right team around her.

Does anyone follow Raducanu, the great hope of women’s tennis?
The latest news about that girl is not very promising, and she seems to have major injury problems:

''If bathing her blistered feet in surgical spirit every day is what it takes, Emma Raducanu will do it as she bids to stop physical issues hampering her tennis.''
''Raducanu, who retired with a leg injury from a lengthy opening-round match in Mexico in February and and struggled with a blister on her racquet hand in her Australian Open second-round defeat in January, said the physical issues were frustrating and she was doing everything she could to overcome them.
"My physio Will is bathing my feet in surgical spirit every day - it's definitely painful," Raducanu, who is scheduled to play in Stuttgart next week, told BBC Sport.
"We did it after the match [on Saturday]. I was literally screaming but you've got to do what you've got to do and try and get ready for Stuttgart."

"I think my tennis level is pretty good, it's just about being able to repeat it or maintain it or not be hampered by any kind of physical issues and as soon as I sort all these out and keep building on my tennis level, then I think I will be able to put out good matches back to back."

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/61129492

Too bad, after winning the GS in America, she seemed to have a great tennis career ahead of her, but then she changed coaches first, so injuries came, bad tennis matches etc.
Will Raducanu return to the old level of tennis and start winning tennis tournaments again?

And then on the Zverev vs Sinner, maybe I will go with the underdog Sinner 2.6 ML.

That's quite a good one, actually. I think Zverev has been below his usual standards, and Sinner is rising fast and is still under-rated. Those are decent odds for Sinner to win, in what would not be a huge upset at all.
They have played each other once before on clay, at Roland Garros in 2020... which Sinner won in 4 sets.

Almost mate, Sinner won the first match and then Zverev the second.

It comes down to the third wherein it goes to the tie-break.

So 2/3 for me, won the other two matches as I have bet on the Over points.

Semi-finals, Zverev vs Tsitsipas and then we have Fokina vs Dimitrov. I'll go Under 23.5 on the Zverev vs Tsitsipas and then Over 22.5 between Fokina and Dimitrov.

The same situation I have seen with Alcaraz here in Montecarlo I also see here with Sinner... the lack of experience during the key events of a match or tournament.
both are certainly growing their capabilities and they are reaching to be top players who regularly win even difficulty games...

I got both this time, I said the under for Zverev vs Tsitsipas because I predicted that Tsitsipas will win in 2 sets and he did.

For the Fokina vs Dimitrov, another classic for the giant killer, but I doubt that he can continue his run against the defending champion in the finals.

So in this match will go Over 21.5 at 1.94, good enough for me.

Dont have a clue buwaytress what the previous outright was on on Tsitsipas, I dont
normally seek those out and I definitely wouldnt have looked it up for Tsitsipas. I
wonder if even Trofo would know this?

I dont know which way to bet on this, Tsitsipas is obviously favourite so him to
win and Fokina +4.5 @1.9, thats what i'm thinking offhand.

Right guys, so the one time I actually couldn't put anything on Tsitsi seems like the time he finally might make good on himself. Fokina the giant killer doesn't seem to be fazed at all, but the Greek should still see himself as the favourite. Anyone know what his pre-tourney outright odds were?

(Or I've just jinxed him to kingdom come heh).

Also your bet on Tsitsipas will be won if Tsiptsipas wins the last set and he is currently serving to win the match so that is a good call
I had him on 2 separate tickets and i must admit I cashed out one of them when momentum change started. Did not expect him to win the match after loosing 2nd set. He looked really bad in those moments.

I am thinking over games is the bet to go for today in his clash with Zverev. They always play long matches and both are prone to spells of incredible and then spells of bad play.

I might tail on the the Tsitsipas match, I'm seeing Schwartzman pushing Tsitsipas here.

that was a crazy match between the two of them, Tsitsipas managed to win after losing the first set and be down 5-2 in the 2nd one, crazy tennis was played in that match i really enjoyed watching it and the hype was crazy, but i still don't think Tsitsipas will manage to win Monte Carlo again this year, he has to go through Zverev, which is a tough one for him and i am leaning more towards Sacha to win in their match against each other.

Zverev and Sinner are going the distance here. We have a tie break in third set and it is coin toss who will win.

After a nice morning ticket I skipped mid day matches and now I have placed a bet on Tsitsipas -3.5. Did not watch him yet but I had a lot of bets on Schwartzman in this tournament and I feel like he is not performing really well. Maybe I'll pay for that call and it is a bit of rude to go against the player who won you a couple of tickets but this one is a gut call and i have some extra cash from ridding that Fokina train. As I said he is my favorite for the title here and I am milking it while I can.

Only clay meeting between Tsitsi and Schwartzman ended with Schwartcman barely getting on result table and that one I watched.

Really good match between Zverev and Sinner but Zverev takes the win and just won a really hard match against Sinner.
Also your bet on Tsitsipas will be won if Tsiptsipas wins the last set and he is currently serving to win the match so that is a good call

Fokina winner against Fritz, and it was a 3 setter so the over is a win, good job. Fokina losing the first 1st set but come back strong in the last 2 sets to steal a win again.

Dimitrov vs Hurkacz, no bet for me in this game, but by the looks of it, this is close and could go on a 3 sets as well.
Just watched in news
kichenko a Ukrainin Player is competing in

^^ Still a surprised though that Alcaraz was booted out by Korda, but the match was intense and I thought that Alcaraz can survived this round. But Korda can't be deny though.
...

they both played a high intensity match and in the first two sets they always went to play tie break.
Personally I believe that Alcaraz young age is still evident.
Against savvy or more experienced players it is not the first time that he has struggled to impose himself, just matter of time to see him dominate the field Roll Eyes !?

Experience is still a big factor in tennis and i think he is really missing it. He won a big tournament and came to the next big one and lost in the first round. That is dissapointing,we see this always in women tennis but not always in mens tennis. Also i think he even didnt prepare much for the clay season

Yes, usually we seen this in the women's side, but maybe Alcaraz body is not yet prime for this kind of grueling tennis run specially in clay season.

Still lot of tennis in Monte Carlo.

Fokina's run is still continuing as he will be facing Fritz in the quarterfinals.

This one is good, Sinner vs Zverev and Tsitsipas vs Schwartzman.

I will be betting on the Over again for the Fokina match against Fritz, Over 22.5 at 1.89.

And then on the Zverev vs Sinner, maybe I will go with the underdog Sinner 2.6 ML.

Tsitsipas vs Schwartzman - Over 21.5 at 1.86.
