Three sets alright, shapovalov should be very proud though, those sets were close.
7-6, 7-5, 7-5 is the closest anyone has got to Djokovic in Wimbledon this year I think.

Well, it's all about Djokovic. Can Berrettini beat him on a bad day? Probably yes. Btu if Djokovic doesn't have a bad day, even a good day for Berrettini won't do it. Djokovic is insane. Even it he were 2 - 0 down tomorrow, I would probably still bet on him. The first serves could be key, but Djokovic's defense has been on point this tournament. He won't give up a single ball as we know him. To me it would be more likely that Berrettini beats Djokovic in the first round of such a tournament than in the final.

Djokovic honestly had a bad day against Shapovalov even he said he had stomach problems against him.But even in a bad day Djokovic won in straight sets.Berrettini is on another level but would really need some serious luck and a really bad day from Djokovic.I see djokovic getting that 20th grand slam.

You are right Djokovic has only lost one single set during all the tournament but his last match against Denis Shapovalov has been very tight 7-6, 7-5, 7-5 then if Novak is in a bad day or if he gets injured during the match then there could be chances for Matteo Berrettini to win.

Yes, first time as well the Djokovic didn't cover the spread in a match, too bad for me. Dennis Shapovalov proved though that Djokovic can be beaten, if Berrettini plays 110% chances are he can upset Djokovic in the finals and yeah this could be a miracle. If ever though Berretinni lost, I do hope that it will be in a five setter down the line game, 5 hours of game play for us tennis fans who's going to watch. Grin

Italian tennis is in a really strong place ATM. My daughters "future husband" is Berrettini
and when she is home and he is playing she will watch tennis!

My favourite player ATM is a toss up between Sinner and Medvedev.

So tomorrow is a big day for Italian sports fans, its WW day! Wimbledon and Wembley,
and a tough day too, Berrettini being the underdog and Italy playing the final against
a home team.

You can choose on other bets like total games because the odds much better. I chose to place a bet in total games over 30.5 with odds around 1.5, in Djokovics vs Shapovalov match and over 3.5 sets in Berrettini vs Hurkacz match and my multibet went well.
For the women's final, I also chose total games. Barty leads in their H2H, but I prefer Pliskova to win this time, and lift the Grand Slam trophy for the first time.

I don't think Berrettini is a serious threat for Djokovic. I hope Nole win this tournament and go for calendar grand slam in US Open. That would make him also the most grand slam winner, clearly a GOAT of tennis. It's a big joy to see him.

The odds are pretty much stock up against Berrettini, but who knows, Shapovalov pushes Djokovic to really dig deeper to his trick and arsenals just to be able to win the match against him. Berrettini is known to be clay court specialist though, but in this years Wimbledon, he really surpasses our expectations. I think he can at least win one set against Djokovic in their match and then see how it goes.

I've got bets on Ash Barty and Karolina Pliskova which I placed before the Wimbledon tournament began - either way I'm in for a modest win (I didn't put big bucks on the end result, but it's nice to know that two of my picks have made it to the finals.

Kudos to Roger Federer for having played as long as he has and being a true professional & a gentleman as well in a competition increasingly dominated in the men's series by crass louts.

I know even I myself backed Williams at first, but then injury and early KO just cleared the path for Barty BUT it was still an achievement nevertheless. If she completes it, it will be a first Australian to win in over 40 years!

I mean, it isn't that Federer is embarrassing himself. He's still a top 10 player, which is a great credit to him. It's only tough to see him struggle like this because we were used to seeing him at his best throughout the majority of his career.

If you look at the upcoming stars full of energy, all of them embarrassed themselves more than Federer. Thiem lost at the beginning, Medvedev, Zverev and Rublev before Roger. He's 15 years older from some of them - so I'd say what he's doing is still impressive.

I could have put my bet on other games today and get the result and then put a bet on tennis. Anyhow, those two are the favourites, and hope that there will be no upset and that the spread are going to be covered.
