Novak is just to strong for anyone... odds are to low, but they are more or less sure bets.
Sometimes he starts slowly, but then he crushes his opponents.
Kyle Edmund done! Who is next?

i am not sure how Zverev can come back in this match, i wish Zverev to win the match.
The second set was won by Zverev in a hard fought battle but then he lost his energy and surrendered the third third set without much fight and Shapovalov played a really good match to upset a top player like Alexander Zverev and i understand why you neglected an unseeded player like Denis Shapovalov and even if wage a bet i would go for a seeded player .

Novak will win the match, wait for big match tomorrow Nadal vs Wawrinka. Nadal is one of the great Tennis player, He rarely lose in the initial round of tournament, so this time He will do too.
Novak Djokovic won the match easily, Nadal and Stan Wawrinka will be a good battle but i am going with Nadal to win the match, anyone watching Alexander Zverev and Shapovalov match, i was expecting Alexander Zverev to win the match but the way the match is going on the first set will be won by Shapovalov and i am not sure how Zverev can come back in this match, i wish Zverev to win the match.

Is Medvedev feeling the pressure now that's why he lost? He was really doing good this year and it seems that media is hyping him to be the next big player to come out and challenge the dominance of Djokovic, Nadal and Federer. However, I had a feeling that he succumb to tennis limelight this early and maybe he was out of focus. Or perhaps pushing himself very hard to chase Roger Federer, just saying.

He has been in the limelight since his back to back titles this year. So I doubt that it has something to do with the media with his recent lost to Chardy here. Maybe he got burn out, which is natural for sports athletes specially in tennis.

Interesting next match, Tsitsipas vs De Minaur. Djokovic and Nadal thru to the next round, Schwartzman defeated by Edmund.
Tsitsipas and Djokovic both won their respective matches very easily Djokovic face some resistance in first set but in second he completley outclass his opponent and right now we have two very interesting matches and both hot favorite players facing defeat in first sets as Zverev is down by 5 - 2 and T songa is also down by 4 - 1 lets see what happen.

I also think more in that direction, he is just burn out, if Medvedev's defeat by feeling a pressure from media, then considering that Chardy victory just by luck.

My prediction Tsitsipas and Novak will win the match, wait for big match tomorrow Nadal vs Wawrinka. Nadal is one of the great Tennis player, He rarely lose in the initial round of tournament, so this time He will do too.

I don't think it has anything to do with the media at all either as he might of got ahead of himself always winning and didn't expect a challenge from Chardy, sometimes this can happen to players who go a winning streak and just take games for granted and this time he came out at the other end losing so it can happen. He was just beaten by the better player on the day.

Rolex Paris Masters results:

Big upset in this tournament, the hot streaking D. Medvedev lost to big hitting Chardy, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 . I haven't seen any clips of the match yet, but based on reports, Chardy didn't melt down and give Medvedev all he can handle. It also stopped Medvedev on it's track after winning back to back tournaments to put himself in the fourth spot of the rankings.

Yeah that is a big upset with the form that Medvedev has been in lately and now that will see him finish ranked 4th this year which is still a big achievement for an up and coming player. Next year is the year I think we'll see the top 3 ranks change and see a young talent up there.
Definitely this is a big upset because Medvedev has one of the best break out year we have seen so far. However, Chardy has other plans and with his experience, he was able to overcome Medvedev, although Medvedev really play very well.

Well, it could be, Medvedev is touted be the next super star of tennis so let's wait for him to mature next year and see how it is going to be.

Seeing his played especially in the last few months, I almost predicted he would be able to enter the finals in all the rest of the tournament this year.

Naomi Osaka pulls out from the WTA Finals due to shoulder injury, hope she will recovery soon, and start to prepare to retain AO tittle.

This is Roger Federer's home town so what do you expect from him? He is going to put a display here and that's why happened.
No one expected Alex De Minaur to defeat Roger Federer and so does the bookies as the odds were not that great for this final, i expected a comfortable win and that is what happened.

It's just sad that Alex De Minaur was the victim here. But no worries, he have gained so much experience facing the Goat in the finals and those experience are going to carry him in his future in this game. And for those who think that Federer is done? you're all wrong.
As you mentioned he is the reigning king in this circuit and Roger Federer just won his 103rd trophy in his illustrious career and no one thinks that he is done as you look at these tournament winner the top three will rotate and win every tournament round the year Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and  Roger Federer and once in a while Dominic Thiem will come in the final along with others and that is what we are seeing for a long time.

I know that no one has expected to Alex to win, but at least he can show some good tennis and not just melt down in front of Roger here.

There are tournaments that Roger was expected to win, but he didn't. That's why people are saying that he is done. But when you thought that he is on the way out, suddenly he shows his old form, so that what legends are made of.

De Minaur really does have gain so much experience from this finals and I'm sure he will bounce back in the coming tournaments. Federer is just too much for him basing on their scores and how confidently Federer played the game.

Yes, experience wise, De Minaur has gain so much from this experienced losing to Roger here. However, he fought hard reaching this finals but suddenly we was like at awe seeing Roger at the opposite of the court. I guess, Federer can intimidate his young opponents by just his mere presence, lol.

Alex de Minaur was no match for Federer and was simply outclassed, I was hoping that he could at least give Federer a challenge but it wasn't to be. Federer doesn't look like slowing down and I also think that he will eventually break the record for most titles and that could happen next year if he is able to stay fit and healthy.
Age is not slowing down Federer and the young Minaur was completely outclassed and he showed the difference between class and experience and as some of the opinions earlier it is a learning curve for the young Minaur as he is in his younger days of his career if he will take this as a learning experience then he will be able to improve his game, classic as always Federer as a fan i cherish these moments as we are witnessing greatness.

Exactly, when everyone is saying that Federer is old and grumpy, he shows us good tennis as evident of winning this trophy for a record what? 10 times, damn. He will remain in the third spot up to the end of the year. So it's going to be a catch up year in 2020 for those young and up-coming players again and try to break the top three, which is a very very difficult task again on the like of Alex, Medvedev and S. Tsitsipas and Thiem.

Rodger Federer won his 10th Basel title against De Minaur. It's just that De Minaur doesn't have the weapons to stop Federer bring home the trophy. 6-2 for Federer's win seems like an easy win for him and better luck next time for De Minaur.
Rodger Federer is a legend as he is still winning titles even at the age of 38 is just outstanding and he is nearing the record of Jimmy Connors and with the way he is playing tennis even at this age he will surpass that as he need just six more titles to earn that record, but winning 100 plus titles in itself in an astonishing feat. Alex de Minaur is a young talent and he is just 20 years old and it will be a great experience in his life.

Hah, I just took a nap and when I came back Federer already won. Well, we thought that Alex could somewhat push Roger here, however, as I have said, Federer is really showing this young guys how tennis should be played, LOL. Congrats for winning his 10th title.

Superb win by D. Thiem as well. As I have predicted, Thiem will make a comeback on the last 2 sets.  He gave up on the first set, but recovered and play. Thiem was broken 3 times in the first set, but bounce back as he broke Schwartzman early in the second set and never look back. Good win for Thiem, second trophy this month.
