I agreed with what you said about Medvedev but you guys seem to overlook the capacity A. Zverev for he did a wonderful job by beating
R. Federer in the Quarter-final stage and if you check him very well he feels disappointed to have lost the final game to D. Medvedev. I believe he will put my effort in the next open game.

Right now too much talk about mens new generation players but no one talking about we have one really new sesation in femals as well she lost against Osaka in third round of US open and and won against worlds best players in very few weeks look like we have new Serena Williams she is right now just 15 and won in WTA SINGLES Linz Gauff C after beating @Bertens, @Petkovic and @Ostapenko look like great player of new generation.

It is still attractive as far as I'm concern, although the big 3 is still a dominant force to reckon with, we have players like D. Medvedev rising to the occasion and showing not just his skills but his mentality to go and chase Federer at the end of the year for the third spot.

If he was able to overtake it, Roger Federer might think that it's about time to retire.

As I have said in my many posts here, Medvedev, amongst the top breed of young players of today, has the chance to really break into the top 3. He is really on a Final streak, his last 6:

He just need to break and win a Grand Slam next year to cement himself. I thought that there will be a 3rd set, but eventually won in Zverev 6-4, 6-1 in just over 70 minutes.

That was a dominating performance by Medvedev and now he will move even closer to Federer for that number 3 ranking which will be a huge achievement if he is able to overtake Federer. I agree he now needs to win a Grand Slam to really show that he has taken that next step to becoming a great player like the big three.

You're right with what you said and this was the reason why I said in some of my previous statements that D. Medvedev is hungry for trophies this year and there are possibilities that he might be the new number 1 men tennis player next year if he keeps it up.

Match on-going, Medvedev taking the first set 6-4, it wasn't a breeze though as Zverev was able to hold the score 4-4 until Medvedev took the last 2 points of the first set. He is now leading the second set 3-0 and I do think that Medvedev will take home the trophy here. He is playing superb tennis here so goodluck to those who got him in this Finals.

Not sure why some members here think that it is strange to see the top players lose in this tournament as we have seen it happen all year. The top players for some reason don't seem to perform as good in these tournaments as Grand Slam tournaments so its no surprise to see the top players get beat by the up and coming players. Medvedev is looking strong right now to overtake Federer for the number 3 ranking if he is able to win the final. The one player who has performed well in this tournament is Zverev as he has been out of form recently so its good to see him back in form and maybe even win the Shanghai Masters but I think Medvedev will win as he has been on a roll in the past few tournaments and will be hard to beat.

You're but unfortunately, Medvedev said the US open was snatch from him and is the best chance for him to be the champion. Let's see if he'll beat A. Zverev tomorrow.

I guess the younger generations are now taking over, Medvedev has been running circles this year and has the potential to catch up Federer in the rankings and so as Thiem and Zverev.

I agree with what you said cause Medvedev playing is impressive during the US open and in this year Shanghai Masters we cant talk about the tournament without mentioning his name. Meanwhile, he has made it to the final and he'll go against A. Zverev who beat R. Federer but I believe Medvedev will be the winning of this year Shanghai Masters

I am very impressed that Tsitsipas won Djokovic.
He is a great talent and as he grows and he becomes more prudent he is going to play even better.
I think that he will be then next top 1-2 player in the Tennis community in the near future.

I was also surprised S. Tsitsipas could beat the current #1 tennis player in men ranking while R. Federer also lost to Zverev A but the semi-final between S. Tsitsipas and Medvedev D. will be a tough one for them are both talented player.
I guess what happened in the women's tennis ranking might also replicate in the mean series soon.

S. Tsitsipas was unable to win Medvedev again and he is kick out of the final.
I think it is the second time that Tsitsipas seems to play without focusing on the game, especially after winning a top class tennis player this tournameng Djokovic and in the previous one Federer.

We cant actually said he's not focusing on the game because D. Medvedev which he lost to was among one of the best and experienced tennis player D. Medvedev which is the reason why he was able to claim the number 3 rank. Besides, D. Medvedev way of playing this year proves him to be hungry trophies.
I think S. Tsitsipas was not lucky today.

As I have said before, there are a lot of young talents of today, but the problem is that they are just short of stepping up the plate specially in a big stage like Grand Slams. But in the last two years or so, they have gain so much experienced from facing the top 3 or top 4 if we include Murray when he was healthy. That's why I predict that someone, with the likes of Medvedev will start the challenge and try to break the top 3 since he is already on the 4th spot right now.

And speaking of Medvedev, his final streak is on, as he beats Stefanos Tsitsipas 7-6(5), 7-5, he will go on the 6th Finals this year, and will be facing Zverev for the Shanghai Open.

Medvedev vs Tsitsipas is ongoing, 5-4 Medvedev winning and it was already a great match to begin with.
