Sinner has still a lot of development to go. His journey in the last 2 years has been
very good, he is hitting the ball harder, his service game is better and his creativity
has increased.
We have seen on many occasions where a player wins a tournament and the following
week he is gone in the first few rounds. As fans of Jannik it would be great to see him
build on last weeks performance.
Yes I believe we are a bit spoiled by Alcaraz because when a player at such a young age is developed like him he also sets new standards and expectations for people who follow tennis, but Sinner still is a young guy who just had his most successful year of his career so far. He also just turned 22, so there is a full year to go until he'll be 23. He still lacks a bit of consistency, but it could be argued that Alcaraz also has his weaker moments like now.
Zverev has problems to get past Medvedev and I doubt that Zverev has the potential to develop any further. He has been stuck at this level forever and occasionally he is able to break through his own barriers, but not really sustainably.
Maybe that happens with few matches, because in the encounter between the two Zverev have won seven matches whereas Medvedev have won 10 matches. Zverev have lost both the matches played on clay court. This is the only difference and he lacks consistent performance which could be corrected by him.
