I really dont know how the Medvedev v Eubanks is going to go. Eubanks is currently breaking
new ground and is now playing someone who is only now getting to grips with the grass surface.
I think Eubanks has a decent chance here ans is indeed a good price at 5.0 but I think I will do
another over bet, I believe it will go over 3 sets at least.

Eubanks is no outsider in this match. He has shown through the win against Norrie and Tsitsipas that he has matured. Both wins have certainly given him a lot of confidence and he will definitely want to win this match.
Medvedev has reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon for the first time in his career and has played convincingly so far.
I also expect this match to last more than 3 sets. I would only bet when the match is on and the performance can be seen.

That was a strange match, both medvedev and Eubanks won two sets 6-4 and 6-1 each!
It was the fourth set tie break which set them apart really with Medvedev win ing that, so
overall a close one in a weird sort of way. I got my over bet anyway.

My other over bet on the Alcaraz v Rune match didnt win. That turned into a fairly easy 3
win by Alcaraz - really thought that would be a closer match.

I would not count on easy for Medvedev, Eubanks @5 gives good opportunity to see some handicaps on him, it is not that I think Eubanks will certainly pass, but on his form and Medvedev grass experience, I would call for tough match

to quote myself, Eubanks had good match, and provided some gains
but, I did not cash-out when possible after third set on a win, and should do that, but at that moment expected to see Eubanks winning this one, and he could do that in fourth set, fifth was just a formality

will be interesting to see Alcaraz against Medvedev, but I think that Medvedev is without chances to take even set there, should be straight sets for Alcaraz, will check odds and probably have it like that

I think Daniil Medvedev is the favourite in this game. In the previous round he beat Czech Jiri Legecky very quickly - 6:4, 6:2, after which Jiri refused to continue the fight. Medvedev saved his energy for this one.
Eubanks spent more energy to reach the quarter-finals. However, in physical terms, Christopher is hardly inferior to Daniil. But in my opinion Medvedev has a higher level of play.
Energy expenditure in the games before is not always that relevant when we are talking about professionals and the best players in the world. They know how to accelerate recovery and the timing of their games has to be very bad in order to have a significant negative impact on the next match. But sure Medvedev was the favorite, however when Eubanks can beat Tsitasipas after being down 1-2 sets, why should he not be able to also beat Medvedev and right now he is in the lead. It is difficult to play against these players nobody really noticed before and then they perform way beyond their own expectations. Sometimes they can seamlessly continue where the stopped the last game and sometimes they jus lose the next game easily expected. It doesn't to be the latter in this game between Medvedev and Eubanks. Tie break, what a nip and tuck!

Medvedev v Eubanks

This match was very close and interesting in the end. There was a certain time when I thought is not going to win this match. After the fourth set of the match, I actually thought that Eubanks is going to be the winner. I mean he had a genuine chance of winning. He just had thrown it away. But I also have to give credit to Medvedev. He performed really well in the last set.

In the next match, Medvedev is going to play in the semi-final stage of the tournament. It is still not decided who will be the opponent.

would be interesting to see him play five setters in SF and Final, doubt that he will have enough power for both, but could be wrong

Even though he has to play 5 sets, he has two big wins in sight. First of all, the victory in Wimbledon. But then also the chance to draw equal with Roger Federer. Both would then have won 8 times at the All England Club.

The match between Alcaraz and Rune will certainly be interesting. But I would rather see them play on clay. Both do not like to play on grass and therefore the full potential will certainly not be shown.

so hopefully they will battle it out over 4 or 5 sets!

Yep , true about Alcarez vs Rune as even if Rune showed some great games here and there , Alcarez is way better and superior in all aspects when it comes to tennis.

I also feel the same as Eubanks is doing an amazing tournament so far and he only had difficulties last game when he lost first set and had to wait for Tsitsipas to run out of fuel which he eventually did. Actually that @5 odds is pretty appeal today and I might try it with 5$.

Do not think it is a strategy from him. I can already see that the opponents had potential.

I think he had that strategy few years ago, but this season was much different, he usually wins without losing a set, and it is probably due to being a bit older to play five setters in a row, and also he changed his condition trainer, so that is probably part in that equation

Djokovic does always seem to give up the first set from all the tournaments that I had followed.
It is like a sort of strategy of his at this point: Give the opponent a sense of victory then rip it away from them and leave them questioning if they can really win by the third set it is already over.

True. Very well observed. But maybe he just wants to enjoy the tournament and likes playing too much.  Cheesy All joking aside. Do not think it is a strategy from him. I can already see that the opponents had potential. Alcaraz had also lost a set in the last two matches. I rather think that the preparations from the teams were not optimal and had overlooked some things from the opponents.

Djokovic into the semifinals after beating Andrey Rublev in 4 sets, not an easy match in the first set and Djokovic lost the first set, but then as usual he handled all the pressure well, and continued his dream of winning his 24th Grand Slam title .
Rublev's defeat in the quarterfinals was like a nightmare for Rublev because it was his eighth defeat in the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam, so his best achievement was the quarterfinals without ever getting past him for the semifinals.

Today's quarter-finals will be an interesting match, Eubanks and Rune are not the favorites in this quarter-final but both of them have the chance to surprise and make this Wimbledon the first GS semifinal for both of them, both matches have the opportunity to go over 3.5 sets.
Missed this match and only got to watch the final games of the third set but caught the highlights.

With that win against Rublev he has tied Roger Federer making it to the most number of grand slam semi-finals:

In the quarter finals match between top seed Pegula and Vondrousova there is performance lag from Pegula and the same is well used and Vondrousova won the match 6-4 2-6 6-4.

Pegula certainly did not perform as well as she should have. Expectations were high from her. And she actually failed to deliver. Probably was not her day, to be honest.

Quarter finals between Swiatek and Svitolina is going close. After losing the first set in a much simple manner a good comeback in the second set. The second set moved to the tie breaker and Svitolina leads the tie breaker 64-61 at some point and finally Swiatek won it 77-65. Expect the deciding set to have tough fight as the second set.

This match was a win for Svitolina. The first two sets were quite close. But the third set was easy for Svitolina. She is going to face Vondroušová in her next match. That is going to be harder for her to win. But I believe Svitolina should be able to win that match. Actually, it is going to be easier compared to what would have happened if she did end up facing Pegula.

Alcaraz won his match against Berrettini and is through to the quarter-final 3-6 6-3 6-3 6-3. Quite a comfortable win against a serious opponent. In the final set Alcaraz easily broke the Italian (it's unbelievable how this huge tall guy failed to win his server game) and guaranteed himself a place in the quarter-final. Alcaraz will face Holger Rune in the next round.

I actually believed that Berrettini will win the game after winning 1st set but Alacrez was mega serious for the rest of the game and gave no chance to Berrettini. It seems the height is not an advantage anymore as Eubanks had the same problem yesterday but his luck was that Tsitsipas ran out of gas and kinda gave up his serve who allowed Eubanks to take over the game and also win on ACES because the odds for Aces were @1.05 for him.

I am curious to see how Rublev will do against Đoković. Both Sinner and Medvedev have easy QF matches.

I would not count on easy for Medvedev, Eubanks @5 gives good opportunity to see some handicaps on him, it is not that I think Eubanks will certainly pass, but on his form and Medvedev grass experience, I would call for tough match

IMO, odds on Medvedev to be worth putting money should be at least @1.45, so Eubanks is my pick
Sinner should have an easier job
Djokovic will run over Rublev easily, it is always same story, Rublev can do it, but he always put a really lousy performance

Berrettini was quite confident and deserved to win the first set. When he slipped away at the beginning of set 2 and layed down for a while, it was a great gesture by Alcaraz that he immediately ran over. After that Alcaraz increased the pressure and deserved to win all the sets.

Today Sinner will play against Safiullin. Sinner seems to have got the easiest way to get into the semi-finals.

Damn you Grigor, how many tickets did you ruin today? Undecided

I hate it when I get most of the things right and I have a pair I think is fully safe, put it on multiple tickets and then that pair destroys them all.

Rune actually played quite well - but Dimitrov choked once again in all the key moments of the match. A familiar story already,
...

such a reaction on the tennis court is typical for Dimitrov!
Of course he's a talented player but he doesn't like much pressure.
When things start to go wrong he basically stops playing tennis, personally I placed always some bet against him after he starts to struggle...

I was also shocked after watching his performance in last sets because as he plays in first set and completely dominate against Rune I was expecting good win for him but in last three sets he was completely losing his calm and have no good chance to fight back which allow his opponent to set his place against no 1 Alcaraz which is going to be another interesting match.

-snip-
It was an unexpected match and everything changed the situation, which at first had a chance to win ended in defeat.
Many people have lost their money in this game.
From the start I was unsure and didn't want to take the risk and in the end my guess was right.
If Rune meets Alcaraz later, he will be defeated, even just being able to keep up with the game feels difficult.
