To knock Tsitsipas out Eubanks has proven his quality again and he won quite easily
over 5 sets. He was able to break Tsitsipas in each of the final 2 sets. Being a 5 setter
with a tie break thrown in too meant my over bet won!
He faces Medvedev now in the quarter final, I dont think they have played each other before?
Dissapointing for Berrettini, his run came to an end. He had a really strong first set
with unbelievable shot making but Alcaraz proved too strong.

I was also shocked after watching his performance in last sets because as he plays in first set and completely dominate against Rune I was expecting good win for him but in last three sets he was completely losing his calm and have no good chance to fight back which allow his opponent to set his place against no 1 Alcaraz which is going to be another interesting match.I hate it when I get most of the things right and I have a pair I think is fully safe, put it on multiple tickets and then that pair destroys them all.

Most chances Rublev will be destroyed by Djokovic because he is doing good job and Rublev is lacking of confidence in top matches which is surely needed to be work on by his team even he is also good player, but recently I watch him having not good chances against top players in big matches with most chances we will have all top players into last four with Sinner can complete line-up for the top four after Tsitsipas exit.

In the final set Alcaraz easily broke the Italian (it's unbelievable how this huge tall guy failed to win his server game) and guaranteed himself a place in the quarter-final. Alcaraz will face Holger Rune in the next round.
Rune won the first set and he gave good fight, but beyond certain point Berrettini loses easily. Anyhow the upcoming match seems to be interesting as Rune seems to be a tough contender. His win against Dimitrov hadn't happened easily, two tie breaker wins have given him the lead. Every learning will reflect in the upcoming matches and the two young players fighting to reach the semifinals makes it a worthy match.

Did you see the game between Rublev and Bautista-Agut in Halle? First of all I think that despite the respect one can have for Bautista-Agut's performances taking into account his age, he is not a top player wo could be considered a yard stick for Rublev with reference to the back then upcoming tournament in Wimbledon. I saw some of the rallies between the two players and I thought that there is no way one of them could beat Djokovic or Alcaraz in Wimbledon. Like almost everyone else, Rublev would have to play this one match of his life to beat Djokovic. He has beaten him once in a final in Belgrade although I don't know whether Djokovic was fit. But in the other h2h matches Djokovic outplayed him by far. This doesn't look very promising for Rublev.

In the third set, Hurkacz is ahead by 4-3. But we know Djokovic. He can still make this set a win for him. We know he is very good with comebacks. But even if this seat does go to Hurkacz I don’t think it is going to be a loss for Djokovic in this match.

His problem was that he lost concentration during longer rallies and was not consistent enough. The next match for Djokovic is against Rublev.

It is funny that you say that Djokovic was giving his opponent an opportunity because sometimes I argue with friends about Djokovic and whether he does that on purpose. Whether he gives the opponent the feeling to have a chance against him and cause the opponent to get even more exhausted, and then Djokovic accelerates his own game suddenly and wins it easily. I have said so often...
But every time they argue that it is normal for all players to have one weak set per match on average or something like that, but I don't buy that. Djokovic is a genius on the court and then makes unforced errors for 20 minutes straight. The opponent wins a set, next set Djokovic destroys him. Whenever I see those games I am puzzled how that is possible.

Much deserved win for Hurkacz, the points were scored consecutively and Hurkacz got a break point opportunity at the final moment and he used it well. It is really great winning against Djokovic 7-5 with points at the level till 5-5. I was reading the post from @n0ne and I was surprised that Novak Djokovic lost the match. I instantly googled who actually won the match. Then I realized that @n0ne was talking about the third set

but Berrettini up to now has been really strong!
Just a note, italian player could be in a "better shape" due less time spent on seed.
Meanwhile the other Italian, Sinner, is going straight to next turn.

Yes Alcaraz is favourite but his odds are 1.43 which I take as an outside chance for
Berrettini to win, he is 2.9. Alcaraz with those odds is not a dead cert. to win, odds so
far on Sinner, Djokovich have been like 1.06 etc.
On Sinner, he is quietly going about his business. Thats an interesting point too that
he can have an easier run up to a semi final.
I have one bet on for today, Eubanks v Tsitsipas. Eubanks has been a great performer
over the last few weeks and could trouble Tsitsipas today.

Another shocking result, this time from WTA: 16yo Mirra Andreeva knocked out 10th seed, ex World #2 and a Roland Garros champion Barbora Krejcikova 6:3, 4:0. I bet this is not the last time we hear about this teenage sensation during this Wimbledon. 
That was the best surprise of Wimbledon so far and yea , she is just 16yo but she plays so mature and I can already see a future champion in her so it's just a matter of time. Curious to see how far she can go right now but I guess reaching quarter finals should be reachable even if her next opponent is Keys who is in a great form just like her with a lot of consecutive wins.

The Alcaraz game is also interesting at the moment as he lost a close tie break but is now back to his form and dominates the second set. Zverev is interesting as well although I think he will again fall apart at some stage before the final in this tournament.
Quite identical to the Djokovic game, Alcaraz is also being kept on his toes, and it's not getting any easier for Alcaraz as the game progresses. Alcaraz would imo just end still being too much to handle for Jarry and would win the game eventually.
I am hyped and I hope so much that both Alcaraz and Djokovic make it to the final. I think that would be one of the best tennis matches we would get to see in a long time. Age seems to not matter for Djokovic and he is strong-nerved as ever. He wins his tie-breaks even if it is close and sometimes I think it looks closer that the game actually is. He wins so many of the most important points and when he loses points often times those are not essential to his win or even pose a serious threat to him. Alcaraz would definitely fight hard and the worst that could happen is to see Medvedev in the final because it could end as one of the rather boring Wimbledon finals.
