Anyone still interested in the two ongoing test matches? The first one was washed out (Pakistan vs Sri Lanka). With two days remaining, I am 100% sure that it will end up in a draw. The other test match (NZ vs Australia) is turning out to be an one sided affair with New Zealand trailing by 307 runs with just 5 wickets remaining. Mitchell Starc broke the backbone of New Zealand batting lineup. And this same Mitchell Starc was dropped by stupid Australian selectors during the Ashes series.

I agree with you mate, I was saying that Strac should be playing when the Ashes series was on while others in here were saying that he hasn't been in good form. Strac is in Australia's top 2 fast bowlers and should be playing every match. It showed once again why he is one of the best fast bowlers in the world as he has ripped through New Zealand. I was thinking that Australia were taking too long at batting but it looks like it might pay off as they have New Zealand on the ropes right now and surely we won't see another Australia victory with an innings and runs.

For the first match: I am also believing that it will be end in a draw because its day 3 stumps but still they have to play 3 and half innings to get a result for this match which is highly impossible.

Where as the second match, anything can happen in the remaining three days but as far as now AUS looks strong.

LOL, a test match cannot be turned into a T20 format for the audience.
Looking at the weather for next two days, it seems no match would be possible.  Undecided
I know that it is not possible to play during a Test match, it was a suggestion from me, when two days are lost and it is sure that we will not be able to see a result then there is no point in playing the match further and they need to play a T20 match to entertain the crowd as they have spent money for the ticket and the shorter format is improvised and we can do that if there is no rain in the next two days.
Not really, anything can change in no time so both team have to play their test innings which also can entertain the audience because they came here to watch test test match not T20,so they have to keep playing until end of the day 5 no matter whatever the result will be.

I still remember lot of test match which has only result to be drawn but both team were playing naturally as any other matches.

Pakistan Vs Srilanka match is boring as only the rain is playing a major role rather than the players. Only 5 overs were possible today and that is a total mess. This is a first International match in Rawalpindi after a long long time and it really disappointed the locals who were eager to watch the team in action in the ground.
It will be a a disappointing match for the local audience as they are witnessing a Test match after a very long time and the weather is not allowing to see the match and they lost two days already and now there is no way we could see a result in this match, they should improvise and play a T20 match if there is no rain in the next two days and entertain the crowd instead Grin.

NZ on troubled waters and quite high chances that they may get follow on as well as they are 109/5 meaning 107 runs to save follow on . Oz have now got to the top of this text match and NZ will be under pressure for next 3 days .

Australia is in a strong position and New Zealand will be forced to follow on but Taylor is still in the crease and BJ Watling who scored a double century recently against England is playing and hope they could build a huge partnership.

So I was busy last few days and could not follow any of the Test. Neither Pak vs Sri nor Aus vs NZ. But I am free now and going to enjoy some cricketing time at home.

Looking at the score and weather in PAK vs SRI match, I do not think there are any excitement left there but in the Aus vs NZ match may be we can find something however NZ seems in the back-foot?

Australia is Australia. Messing around them is not easy :-P
New Zealand is struggling as they lost half their side within 30 overs and they sent out a night watchman and he just lasted one ball Cheesy. Ross Taylor and Watling are the proper batsman left and they will be playing to avoid the follow on and Australia just proved that they are undefeated at home except against India  Cheesy. There more days to go and we will have a result in this match.

Williamson needs to put his thinking cap on and figure it out how to save this test match with only 4 bowlers. Debutant Ferguson is already ruled out due to calf injury
I doubt it'll come to that  Grin NZ are still trailing by 307 runs. With only 5 wickets remaining, I doubt they'll score another 108 runs tomorrow to avoid a follow-on. It's very clear that they couldn't face Starc's pace. But the real turning point was the wicket of Williamson, thanks to Smith's stunner. So NZ now have to focus on batting rather than bowling. I hope Ferguson can bat for both innings.

Okay ladies, its official... Kiwis are in deep mess right now with batting collapse Grin 97/5

4 wickets belong to Starc, still 3 overs to go who knows if Starc can strike again.

Edit

They survived couple of last overs lol. Williamson needs to put his thinking cap on and figure it out how to save this test match with only 4 bowlers. Debutant Ferguson is already ruled out due to calf injury
Finally OZ end the second day with 109 for 5, I expected this kind of results. Cheesy

Can Aussies enforce New zealand to enforce follow on?

Aus on the upper hand, need something from OZ to turn this match around their side.

Bro, IPL coming soon. We have any pool plan for this similar to last edition?
How come I miss that? I have been waiting for it since the final match last year. I really hope we will get good number of users. By the way, shall we talk about the entry fee? Let's find a common ground for everyone so that we can have a good amount in the pool.

Its not a bad wicket to bat on so surely their opener messed it up and lost the opportunity. i am counting on Williamson and Taylor too.
Williamson and Taylor were rebuilding the innings and they are the in form players for New Zealand but Williamson is back in the pavilion and now Taylor and Nicholls are in the crease and hopefully they can built a good partnership and with Hazlewood injured Australia have a bowler less and lets see whether they can take advantage of the situation.

Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor are rebuilding the Kiwi innings slowly. Around 16 overs remaining for today and I hope that they'll get to around 100 without any further loss of wickets. And is anyone even following the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka match at Rawalpindi? Play was called off, after around 5 overs of play today. The first innings is not yet completed, after 3 days.  Grin

And bloody hell, what's wrong with kiwis today.. how many overs left ?
Well, not sure what happened with New Zealand openers today. They scored a combined sh!t-solid one run. However, as long as Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor are batting, I don't think that there's much to worry about. They should be able to make a nice comeback in the inning.

It is simple the New Zealand openers were not able to face the pace at which the ball was coming and they perished without troubling the scoreboard  Wink and now they have their most experienced players in the crease Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor and they are trying to rebuild the innings and Taylor is playing some incredible shots and attack the bowlers while Williamson is trying to settle down for a long innings hopefully.
