72 runs partnership and Leech hit the most important run in his career.
Jeez..... And History is made, no one going to forget 2 match in their life.
World Cup Final and 2nd Test of 2019 Ashes.
Only one player, single handedly won the both games for England
I would have been happier if England had won both the matches, without help from the umpires. During the penultimate over, Stokes was clearly out LBW to Nathan Lyon. Fortunately for England, Joel Wilson refused to give him out and by then Australia had run out of reviews (they had wasted one review in the previous over). But still, it was a very poor decision from Joel Wilson and I can't see how anyone could rule that not out. Hawk-eye had the ball hitting the middle stump. So technically, Australia would have won the match by 1 run.
I don't want to explain what happened during the world cup final, but it was the one extra run awarded (6 runs were given instead of 5 after the ball deflected and reached the boundary rope) that helped England to take the super-over to tie. Else, NZ could have won by 1 run.
You maybe right but who told Aussies to waste a review on a ball which was clearly Not Out. If Aussie had that review, they could have taken it.
At the end of the day, it is the result which matters the most and what do you say about the innings from stokes ?
You cannot deny that luck favors the brave.
