Honestly speaking I have only watched one ball from this entire match so far. Not sure who was betting and who was bowling but when I saw Bangladesh lost their 4th wicket then there were no real interest left to see the Mach and waste time lol

This entire Test series turned out to be really one sided and if the Bangladesh team keep showing this type of performance then I will say as a Test team they need a break.

Very low standard for a Test playing nation.
Cricket needs to be exciting and it's not their in this match.

LOL.. if we go by this criteria, then I am afraid that a number of teams may need to take break from test cricket. The ongoing match between Pakistan and Australia is an even more one-sided affair. Despite the increase in the number of test teams (to 12), there are only a few out there who can offer meaningful competition to England/India/Australia.

Test cricket is not meant for weak teams. Let them stick with T20.

If Bangladesh can bat well then definitely India would have to bat again and match would get end tomorrow. As now Bangladesh is behind by 97 runs and 5 wickets is remaining. Its going to be a exciting to see how quickly the match gets over now.

Only Mushfiqur Rahim is remaining among the recognized batsmen. Remaining are all tailenders. Taijul Islam now got out to Umesh Yadav. The play will resume tomorrow, with Bangladesh trailing by 89 runs. India just needs four more wicket to complete yet another innings victory at home. So by the first session tomorrow, we will be having a result.

I do not think Bangladesh will be able to survive today, wickets are falling at a regular interval. 4 down still trailing by 174 runs. I do not want this match be a one sided. The lack of experience player is one reason for such a bad performance.

Hmm... only 19 overs remaining now and I don't think that India will be able to take the remaining 6 wickets today. Now it is up to the spinners and it looks like Ashwin and Jadeja are not getting much support from the pitch. The partnership between Mushfiqur Rahim and Mehidy Hasan has added 42 runs in quick time. India needs to break this partnership.

In another match Pakistan is still trailing by 276 runs and they are facing an innings defeat and the players who performed in the warn up match could not do anything till now.

This is the dilemma of this cricket team. They will play good in the warm up matches but will fail to perform in the main matches. You move these players in different leagues and will see that each of them will perform well but when you make them play for the national team, they will fail miserable.

Have anyone placed bet for Bangladesh? I guess Little Mouse didn't.
Will the match roll over next day? I guess it's not. Bangladesh have lost 4 wickets already and still trail by 186 runs. That's really a poor performance from Bangladesh. I can't guess a team who performed really well in the world cup can play such shit.
Can anyone confirm here the shortest test match in the history? I guess it will be the shortest one. I have no idea though.

Edit-
No hall of shame for Bangladesh, seems they got lucky because India batted way more. Otherwise it could be the shortest.

India is ranked as the numer one test team. Then why would anyone bet against India. Overall India has only lost 1 test match at home. No, it can become the shortest match in test cricket history. The shortest was only a 50 minutes match.

Look like Bangladesh is in very hurry for name in list of shortest test records 35/4 with 34 overs remaining Ishant Sharma is on fire and he can complete his 10 wickets haul as Bangladesh batsmen is attacking which is good for bowlers.

In all probability, the match will be over by today. More than 40 overs remaining in this match, and Bangladesh are 5/2 after 4 overs. There is only a very small chance that they will get enough runs to force India to bat again (which looks very unlikely, as India is having a lead of 241 runs). Umesh and Ishant are bowling now and once again, Ashwin may not even get an opportunity to stretch his arms.

New Zealand v England is in a interesting cross road right now as New Zealand is showing resilience and now they are leading by 41 runs and this is the third day and what happens tomorrow will determine how the match goes and it might end up in a draw unless there is some extraordinary bowling performance from either side.
I did not watch any single ball but it seems this Test have very good chance to end with a draw. There are only two days left and still two and half inniyto go.
In the mutual pool we have akhjob who is the only one that picked a draw and it seems he will have all :-p

when India won in Australia they were missing Smith from the team if i remember correctly and he will make a huge difference in a match if he performs, the New Zealand tour is a good challenge for team India as they are yet to win a series in New Zealand and this is the perfect team to change that history as well.
Smith got out for 4 runs in the ongoing match against New Zealand. 1 player is not enough to change the result which is why his inclusion would not have changed the result between India and Aus and is simply an excuse to justify their loss.

Steve Smith got out for..... just 4 runs!!! Can you believe that?
Do you think this is the 1st time he got out for such a low score? This is not a big deal since Warner and Marnus have basically taken the match away from Pak at this point.

~snip~

but one things i did not understand is that when Liton Das was injured another player came out to bat who was not in the team, when did this rule changed as they start allowing substitute players and Mehidy Hasan came out to bat, so if Liton Das gets better whether he will be allowed back in the team to play or Mehidy Hasan will continue.

~snip~

One more doubt is that, is there a rule change in Test cricket that they can have a substitute player if someone is injured, during Ashes second Test i saw Marnus Labuschagne coming in to bat instead of Smith as he was injured and i did not see them announcing the 12th man, can they select anyone in the squad randomly, anyone having any idea regarding that.

Yeah, this is new rule under only concussion replacement - suspected concussion replacement. where substitute can bat, ball or WK in this scenario

ICC Approves Like-for-like Substitution for Concussion in All International Cricket
Quote
In a landmark decision, the International Cricket Council has approved a like-for-like concussion substitute in men's and women's international cricket and first-class cricket worldwide from August 1, the start of the first Ashes Test.

The decision was taken after a two-year trial of concussion replacements in Australia's domestic cricket competition, the Sheffield Shield.
A player who has been concussed either while batting, bowling or on the field can be withdrawn from the game and be replaced subject to approval by the match referee.

The ICC stated that the decision on replacement will be made by the respective team's medical representative.

@Clement Kaliyar Hope, this helps.

As of now there are 5 incidents of concussion replacement in the International Matches.

1. Nayee Hasan replaced by Taijul Islam                        against India (Shami)
2. Liton Das replaced by Mehidy Hasan                          against India (Shami)
3. Dean Elgar replaced by  Theunis de Bruyn                  against India (Umesh Yadav)
4. Darren Bravo replaced by Jermaine blackwood            against India ( Bumrah)
5.Steve Smith replaced by Marnus Labuschagne             against England (Jofra Archer)

That's ridiculous batting performance from Bangladeshi batsman, it was not unexpected though. The historical match have no much exciting; a one sided match. I am thinking about the people who bought the tickets for the 4th day. Will BCCI refund them  Cheesy I guess match will not roll over such long.

Things would have been much different if Shakib al Hassan and Tamim Iqbal were included in the Bangladeshi squad. I am very sure that there is a lot of anger against the BCB management right now in Bangladesh. I was also excited with the performance by the Indian pacers (especially Ishant), but I want them to perform with such consistence against the stronger teams as well.
I doubt anything good would happen. Tamim has passed his worst performance in the world cup. Little Mouse and others were talking mucn about his existence in the team. Well, Shakib may add some value for the team. I really feel sorry for him. He don't deserve such punishment. BCB could consider him giving chance.

Looks like New Zealand will be getting a lead in their match against England. The 6th wicket partnership (Colin de Grandhomme/BJ Watling) rescued them from big trouble, after they were struggling at 197/5. Both Jofra Archer and Jack Leach looks unimpressive and in total they have gone for 138 runs from 46 overs and took just one wicket.
New Zealand bouncing back and it is expected as they have a long batting line up and majority of them made runs and the New Zealand batsman are testing the patience of the English bowling line up and Jofra cannot bowl all the overs with intensity.

And there was a big surprise in the Australia vs Pakistan test. Steve Smith got out for..... just 4 runs!!! Can you believe that? But Pakistan is still in dire straits, as Australia has build up a lead in excess of 150 runs, with 7 wickets in hand. The outcome is all but certain. The only question is for how long the Pakistani batting lineup can survive against the Australian pacers in the 3rd innings.
Smith completely played the wrong line and got cleaned bowled, even Kohli got out for a duck recently after getting a double century in the match before that, so the battle is on and now Kohli is still in the crease against Bangladesh and most probably he will go on to score another huge century.

Edit: what a catch by Sibley to get rid of Grandhomme  Shocked.
