3 tests coming up people on 22nd of August:
- India vs West Indies -> India will probably win this one easily thanks to Pujara and Kohli(Odds : 1.4)

Hey Mr,

Ruling out Bumrah And Windies pace battery? Tongue I would bet on India as well if I have to put my money on a game.

Indian batting line up looking strong but Opener spot still shaky. Chances are KL Rahul is going to open with Mayank. And Ajinkya, Hunuma, Rishab, Jadeja, Ashwin in Middle and lower order, Rohit should sit out for the first game.

PS : I want a seaming wicket for those 2 games Cheesy

Roy too hasn't performed well for Eng in these 2 test matches wherein the max runs he has made is 28. Burns has been the most stable batsman and now Stokes but they need to replace Roy.

I would just give Roy a chance again because we all know how good as a player he is and yes for now he seems to be out of form but if kept a faith in him and he performs well in coming match England has a good chance to win the match and series too despite they being down by 1-0 now .

I noticed a couple of posters talking about removing Warner as an opener, they have their reasons, but I am positive that they are only looking at last 4 innings. As @pffrt shared his stats above, which are pretty solid and he is the best bet for Oz.

His main competitor for the opening slot is Finch and Khwaja. I highly doubt that Finch can fill his shoes, Khwaja can be a right candidate but who is going to bat at number 3 after that?

Chances are Management going to try Warner for one more match. If he failed one more time, then they can go ahead with their available options, it's logical as well. @Raja is that Marcus Harris? He's good but not sure if he's capable of playing a big inning in International. He has a good record in First class though.

It's only 2 match, I can't remember him to play more matches after coming back from the ban. Within 2 matches, it's hard to decide replacing a player like Warner.

Warner Test stats-
Played- 76 matches, 141 innings
Total run- 6381 with an avg of 46.92
Century- 21
Fifty- 29

In ODI, his avg is 45.36 with 17 centuries from 114 innings.
I think he is still a good option for Australia for their test squad. After a long time, he is playing in the team, he has shown his performance in world cup. Hopefully he will recover in test in the upcoming matches.
I agree. This is why people need to stop thinking about the short term and need to look at the big picture. Every player encounters these kinds of breaks where their performance goes down the drain, but the great players always find a way to bounce back.

For example, Smith performed pretty badly in several ODI matches in the World Cup, but they stuck with him and it proved to be a good decision. Warner is already a legend in my opinion people and I am confident that he will bounce back very soon.

It is weird to see Australia giving so many chances to David Warner

This test match had too many up and down moments and finally the test match where it went till last over to know the final result. Though the match ended in draw but this was really a well competent test match for England who came from the bad loss in the 1st test match. Also Smith concussion happening for first time in histroy played a vital rolse as Marnus made half century and helped them to draw the test.

It is weird to see Australia giving so many chances to David Warner (who I think is more suited for ODIs and T20s) and at the same time humiliating Mitchell Starc by dropping him again and again. The Aussies need to get their team selection right, if they want to win this series. They are already 1-0 up, but the momentum is not on their side after the poor performance in this test. They should seriously consider going to the third test with four pacers, as the performance of Nathan Lyon was pathetic during the second match. I would recommend two changes. Finch in for David Warner, and Mitchell Starc in for Nathan Lyon.

‘If you pick a guy, you back him for the long term’ – Waugh confident of Warner, Bancroft bouncing back

Ashes 2019: Ricky Ponting implores David Warner to free his mind

Last four innings of David Warner:

1st inning of 1st test: 2 runs
2nd inning of 1st test: 8 runs
1st inning of 2nd test: 3 runs
2nd inning of 2nd test: 5 runs

What's wrong with David Warner? Roll Eyes
Well how many innings?
A team like Australia have unlimited options. Indeed Warner needs to come back very soon or he is very close to lose his position. I hope Smith will be fit to play the third test if not then we will see a disaster from Australian team.

I agree. IMO, if Warner doesn't perform in the next test match of the series, he'll be out.

An interesting overview of Warner's alternatives is provided in the following article:

Australia must drop David Warner

I actually think he should be dropped for the third test match and Finch comes in or they could even have Khawaja open with Bancroft. Australia look weak without Smith so I just hope that he will be right to play in the third test. It was good to see England try and get a result from this match and like some have said if there were 10 or so overs left England most likely would of got the win. I thought that both teams played well in this test match and the draw was the right outcome in the end.

Match drawn! Sad end to an innings that could have been in England's favor. Aussies must be very happy as they escaped a loss but the winner is the rain.

Yeah, I am on EMS too but am no longer active there.

Same here. It used to be very active till 2015 but now it seems like only a few people use it. Good ol' days of NorthOwl, Clicksia, LibertyReserve, etc, LOL.

Yes, Match drawn but winner is the rain :-P

Australia was looking broken without Smith. If this test could be 15 to 20 more overs longer then we might see a result in favor of England.

Man! It's stressful now.

5 overs to go but technically England needs only 3 wickets. Cummins batted well in the first innings, I hope he can stay in the pitch till the end with Head.

So a draw? As it's impossible to chase down 135 runs in 12 overs with no Smith. Sad that this match got wasted due to rain. Stokes may be the man of the match and he deserves it.

Now only 8 overs left. Aussies should be able to at least play all these remaining overs without losing any further wickets.

Yes, we are heading there however Australia lost another wicket. So, technically they are 5 down now. It needs only 5 wicket taking balls to get 5 wickets.

Question is: Do one or two English bowler have this magic spells?

EDIT:
Damn! 5th gone! Technically 6 wicket down. England needs only 4 wickets. Remember Smith is not there.
