Bangladesh lacks both patience and talent to play Test matches, especially Test is a battle of performance with patience and mind. If any one of these is lacking, the test cannot be performed. Moreover, the Bangladeshi batsmen failed to score the required number of runs in Test matches. Top order batsmen in particular fail miserably here.

In order to be competitive in the longer format of the game, you need to have a proper 4-day domestic setup in place. And that is the reason why the pig-4 countries are so strong in test cricket. India has its Ranji Trophy, while England has county cricket. And for Australia and New Zealand respectively, they have the Sheffield Shield and the Plunkett Shield. South Africa and West Indies used to be strong earlier, but recently the quality of domestic 4-day cricket has declined and along with that the performance of their national teams have also gone down.

It seems India is going to also gonna won this match . Bangladesh constantly failing on their batting side specially the problem facing with the top order batsmens and the finishers . I think if Bangladesh wanna come back into this series for Equalized they must have to changed the batting format .

In the last match the first two days the pitch was spinning a lot and the final two days the batsman were able to score runs, so not sure how the pitch will behave in the final two days and it is a disappointing performance by India as well, thought they would score a huge lead but Bangladesh just trail by 80 runs and it all depends upon how Bangladesh would perform in the second innings and with plenty of time left in the match i would be surprised if we do not see a result.

If Pant and Iyer were there to bat for another session then surely a big score was on pretty much on the card but this is not an easy pitch to bat on.
Even a set batsman can get out at any point of his inning, hence the mini-collapse. It happened with Bangladesh batters too.

Iyer is an excellent player. But even then he was not getting a regular place in the Indian team. Now Iyer has cemented his place in the Indian team. He is consistently performing well. The pairing of Iyer and Pant was essential. If this pair did not form a big partnership, it would have been difficult for India to collect 227 runs.
India managed to take a lead of 87 runs. Although not a huge lead, it is a good enough collection. It is also difficult for Bangladesh to collect 87 runs. Because the performance of each of their players is erratic. Even then, I think that the players of Bangladesh will play with the aim of winning the Mirpur Test. They will not accept defeat so easily.

But if I am being honest then i considered them retarded who likes to believe that Pant is going to lose his place in the test team even if he performs badly in the next 5 tests. In his short test career, he already bailed out his team countless times in every condition (pace, seam, spin). He's just 25 yo and already broke many records as WK batsman and i firmly believe that he's going to end up as all time great WK in test history surpassing Great Gilchrist.
I really like Iyer but dude needs a hell lot of practice against the short ball. He's almost cheat code in subcontinent pitches where bounce is low but it's fatal flow when playing in SENA.

It is a decent total, given the fact that the Bangladeshi bowlers were really bowling with a tight line. The top order failed once again for India, including KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli. It was left to the middle order (especially Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer) to rescue the innings. However both of them got out before they could get to century mark. And then there was useful contributions from the lower order batsmen such as Ravichandran Ashwin, Jaydev Unadkat and Umesh Yadav.

The pitch is spin friendly. Shakib and Taijul picked up 8 wickets. Both managed to pick up four wickets each. They bowled very well. My guess was that India would collect more than 350. But they couldn't do it.
Bangladesh could not bat well in the first innings. It is very difficult for them to collect more than 250 in the second innings. Because there is no batsman in the team who is able to play well regularly. I guess Bangladesh can provide a target like 200.

As seen in the first test match and in the first innings of this test match Bangladesh's batting lineup has struggled against the Indian bowlers. Now the pitch has become friendly for spinners and I am sure Ashwin and Patel will utilize this pitch. I am saying this because most wickets taken by Bong bowlers came from spinners such as Shakib and Islam. They have not lost any wickets at the moment but they will surely do on day 3. If Indian batters were not able to get those runs then knowing Bangladeshi batters it wouldn't be easy for them.

The pitch condition at Mirpur Stadium is always like this. It is very difficult to get runs on this pitch. Bangladesh will not be able to benefit much in this condition. With the wickets of Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer, India lost the remaining wickets in short time. But India still gave a lead of 80 runs which is a difficult task for Bangladesh. The Bangladesh team failed to take the opportunity to play at home ground. On the other hand, Indian team is also performing consistently well. But the status of the match will depend on tomorrow's performance.
A difficult pitch to score runs on , India surprisingly lost all wickets on 314 lead of 80 runs .
