But India showed strength in Bangladesh series. After rough start two players turned game around. Now everyone wonders if New Zealand can handle India strong attack. However, after Abdullah Shaique, hopes were raised for Shan Masood because in the last match first innings, he have scored very well runs, made 150, but not today, he was out on 4 but after these two wickets we found a wonderful partnership pair between Siam Ayub and Kamran Ghulam. He scored a century, by the way also a bad performance by Saud Shakeel.

Pakistan team playing the second test match with average runs rate of 3 run per over with the mindset of drawing this test match and at the end of day one Pakistan loss its 5 wickets in just 259 runs. The Captain of Pakistan team shan masood failed out after just scoring 3 runs that disappointed me but Kamran Ghulam played a sensational inning scored a well deserved century that helped Pakistan to scored 250 plus in first day. Now Muhammad Rizwan is playing at 37 runs and Salman ali agha also playing with at 5 runs. This 6th wicket partnerships between Salam ali agha and Muhammad rizwan is very important if Pakistan want to scored a huge total of 400 plus runs against England in first inning.

Pakistan should have batted better to draw the match against England even though they still have five wickets intact. But I can't be too optimistic about Pakistan team because if they are good in batting, they are disappointing in bowling. But the most impressive of the first day's play was Kamran Ghulam who played an excellent innings of 118 off 224 balls. Babar got a place in the team in place of Azam and gave the team a great century. Besides, Saim Ayub batted very well and scored 77 runs. Although Pakistan team won the toss and decided to bat they could not score that much runs. I think Pakistan team will not be able to bat for the whole second day because their middle order is not that strong and they might be able to continue the game with 5 wickets left till lunch break. Should tend to bat long enough to at least get a draw in the second Test.

I blame the Pakistani bowlers. Because if the Pakistani bowlers could have bowled well in the first innings then the England team would never have collected 800+ runs. England scored 823 runs for the loss of just 7 wickets. On the other hand, we have seen the performance of England's bowlers. England's bowlers were able to bowl well in the second innings as Pakistan lost all their wickets for just 220 runs. If the Pakistani bowlers were able to bowl as well as the England bowlers, this match would undoubtedly have been a draw. I think Pakistan would not have been defeated if the Pakistani bowlers could have bowled a little better.

OK... I am not sure whether Babar was dropped or rested. But how he is going to come back to the playing XI? Kamran Ghulam scored a century on his debut. Are they going to drop him just to accommodate Babar? Else they need to drop someone else. At this point, I don't think that any of the other batsmen can be dropped. Babar is going through a rough patch and the best thing for him to do would be to take a break from international cricket and play a few matches in county tournament or the Sheffield Shield.

This article [1] mentions Babar was rested and he's indeed taking break for a while. Regarding him coming back, If he gets back into form, dropping someone else (one who is less consistent) for him is not big deal.

You have to look into the condition of the pitch. The first test match was completely played in a batting friendly pitch. There shouldn't be any other result except draw in that match. Now there are two experienced batsmen like Agha Salman and Mohammad Rizwan at the crease. If these two batsmen bat well, Pakistan can collect big very easily.

We don't see good performance from Pakistan in last few test matches. Pakistan team lost both test matches against a weak team in test format like Bangladesh. No one could have imagined that Pakistan would lose the match against England. We thought the match would be a draw. But in the end Pakistan lost badly.

If Pakistan wants to win this match then the batsmen as well as the bowlers need to perform well. One of the reasons for Pakistan's defeat in the first match was the bowlers not performing well.

Yes ,you are right. Pakistani International test cricket team could not handle the pressure in pressure situation. Pakistani cricket team lose the test series against Bangladesh and they lose their temprament. We did not see that kind of worst performance by Pakistani team in last matches. England test team is best team whole the World and England batters can change the side of match because England strength is batting and they are also good in bowling. England have bowlers who will destroy Pakistani batting in second inning. Pakistani batting is always weak but we didn't see that kind of low class bowling by Pakistani team. Most of the players are referenced players and they are not playing for the team ,So team is losing the match.

259/5 by the end of first day's play was not what was expected from Pakistan. The pitch offered hardly any support for the bowlers and yet England managed to gain the upper hand. For the second consecutive time, Pakistan won the toss as well. If not for Kamran Ghulam (playing his first test match for Pakistan), the Pakistanis would have been in deep shit. Well, Pakistan is batting well till now but don't take this as an indication that they will win this test match. We know that in the last test match, they batted well too but later they lost the game.

Saim Ayub played well and made 77 runs but could not convert it into the century. However, I am impressed with Kamran Ghulam performance today. He is batting on 118 runs and still going. This time Mohammad Rizwan also got a start, batting cautiously at 26 from 74 balls. They again have to look for score somewhere near the 500 runs mark as we are playing on the same pitch and we know how much batting friendly that pitch is, from the last match.

So it is natural that the batsmen will have more advantage in this match. So if Pakistan wants to win the match then Pakistani bowlers must perform well.

Pakistan won the toss and put into bat in 60 overs, the team amassed 177 runs, losing three wickets. Kamran Ghulam is batting very responsibly. He is still unbeaten with 79 runs.
