Fingers crossed for Mayank Yadav, he's an exciting talent and hope his body allows him to bowl 15-20 overs in the net regularly.
Mayank reminds me of Jasprit Bumrah in his early days. If the BCCI can manage his workload, then he can be an exciting future prospect for India. But only time will tell whether Mayank will end up like Jasprit or like Kamlesh Nagarkoti. BTW, there is too much competition at the top level. Mayank will be competing against Virat's favorites, such as Siraj, Avesh and Arshdeep. He needs to have control as well, else he may even end up like Umran Malik. Umran had lot of support from the BCCI and Virat, but in the end he was too expensive with the ball to get a permanent spot in the playing XI.
Fingers crossed and if he manages to settle, then I hope they use Mayank strategically and receive the same treatment as Bumrah. Wrap him in cotton wool and use only ICC Trophies and Test matches in SENA + maybe 1-2 tests in India, if necessary. Apart from that, there is no need to play any bilateral cricket against any team.
In T-20 cricket Arshdeep is not going anywhere as he's our best performing seamer in the T-20 format along with Bumrah. Avesh's stocks are going down so he's down in the pecking order in test cricket and not in competition in the White ball cricket.
Siraj is a workhorse and up in the pecking order as far as Test cricket is concerned but if the likes of Mayank and Reddy do well then Siraj will feel the pressure, especially in SENA conditions. In whiteball duo of Mayank-Reddy will replace him soon (T-20).
