I don't want to lose hope on Australia yet. I have seen many matches where Australia has come back from such a stage. In batting, we still have Alex Carey and Mitchell Starc on whom we can definitely rely. I believe Australia will come back on the second day and will be able to give India a lead. Australia can take the match in their favor even from difficult moments, which can be demonstrated by the match against Afghanistan in the 2023 ODI World Cup and the match against West Indies in 2019. Why are you addressing the 1st innings score of India as target? This is a test match dude, not an ODI or a T20 match. Anyway, looks like India will start the second innings with 60+ runs lead. The condition of the pitch isn't too much difficult for batting, but the decent pitch condition is helping a lot to the strong bowling attack of both teams. It is difficult to predict now that which team will win the match even if Australia gets all out within 100 runs in first innings. Everything will depend on Indian team second innings batting. The odds is still same for both teams.

The first day of India vs Australia was a roller coaster experience. India started bad and were losing wickets in regular intervals. They were 73 for 6 and it was looking like they'll not even go to 100 but they dragged themselves to 150. Australia was supposed to make a better start but they too fell like India did and even quicker. Australia are at 67 for 7. There's still Alex Carey who can bat otherwise it's hard for Australia to achieve 150. All those actions in 1st day, this match surely is going to get a result.
The 2nd innings is going to be decisive. The run difference in the first inning isn't going to be more than 50 on any side so the one who bats better on 2nd inning would win.

As much as I was surprised by the Indian team getting all out for just 150 runs, I was even more surprised and unexpected by the performance of the Australian batsmen. I actually never thought that the Australian batsmen would lose their wickets so quickly.
I thought that the Indian team would perform poorly in this Test series and lose like in the previous Test series, but now I feel the opposite. It looks like the Australian team will lose and the performance in the upcoming matches will be the opposite.
Now media is having good influence on sports as mostly were talking about Indian's weakness in batting even we all know Australia are also having not good time because their batting concerns were also in talk for long time especially after retirement of the David Warner things were more troubling, but this was not in limelight.I thought that the Indian team would perform poorly in this Test series and lose like in the previous Test series, but now I feel the opposite. Not quite sure whether Australia can get to three digits. Pat Cummins got out just now and that means that they are down to the tail. Mitchell Starc has come out to join Alex Carey and they are at 67/7. Jasprit Bumrah has so far taken 4 wickets, while he has received excellent support from Harshit Rana and Mohammed Siraj. I don't think that either Nitish Kumar Reddy or Washington Sundar will be called up to bowl in the first innings. If India can wrap up the Australian innings under 100, then it will give them a huge psychological boost.
The match is already stumped, but I don't think Alex Carey and Mitchell Starc will be able to do much good later. And since they still have 83 runs left, I don't think Australia will be able to cross India's 150 runs in this match. They will be all out before that. But I thought they would be all out today but even with Pat Cummins out, none of them got out.Australia had the worst performance in the Test format that I have seen in this match, although India also performed poorly, but India was also all out for just 150 runs. However, I have seen some of Australia's new batsmen and I don't think they will be able to do anything very well against the Indian bowlers.

Bumrah leading from the front as the captain. What can this man not do. Siraj and Rana are just following his lead though Siraj is definitely doing a better job. The entire first innings of this match has surprised everyone. Pant and Nitish saved their team.

The runs scored by Pant and Nitish were quite crucial and may end up giving a substantial first innings lead for India. Harshit Rana and Jasprit Bumrah also added valuable runs towards the end. For Australia, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon need to do the same job, else they risk humiliation at home from the Indians. Bumrah is such a valuable asset for the Indians. But the challenge for the management is to keep him fit, and free from injuries. At the moment, his bowling average stands at 20.20. This has to be the best for any Indian bowler, with more than 100 wickets.

Jasprit Bumrah has taken four wickets and brought his team right back in the game. When India made 150 all out, i thought they are done and Australia will take a big lead but this man did not let this happen. He together with Mohammed Siraj and Harshit Rana restricted Australia to 67-7 and it is very likely that they may win up the Aussies innings under 100 runs tomorrow.
It does not matter how much lead the India team get in this innings, i guess the match will not be dependent on how the both teams play the 2nd innings and the one who can play better (score around 250-300 runs) in the 2nd innings, will definitely have edge on this match.

The fall of two wickets in the beginning which put a lot of pressure on the Indian team. I think India did not start well against Australia today. Devdutt Padikkal and Yashasvi Jaiswal, the two opening batsmen, got out for zero runs. However, if Virat Kohli and KL Rahul can play the game at this moment, they will be able to meet a good target.
