At the end of the day, Sri Lanka managed to get 7 wickets and therefore i think they are back in the game. It was the partnership between Ryan Rickelton and Temba Bavuma due to which we thought that South Africa may make a big score, but after Temba Bavuma lost the wicket at 177, then South Africa again started to lose wickets and at the end of the day they had lost 7 wickets. I don't know if they can even make 300 score as tomorrow morning the ball will be swinging more.

Everyone was talking about the bad start by Sri Lanka and even the commenters, everyone was saying bad for Sri Lanka but then they have come back so should not underestimate the Sri Lanka team because they also could do something great. However, so far the match is in the balance.

They were 44/3, and then Temba Bavuma and Ryan Rickelton got them to 177/3. But once Bavuma got out, their batting collapsed once more. David Bedingham is not in good form recently, and this time also he got out for a single digit score. We have well-balanced performance from both sides in this first day of the second test match as we have 269 for 7 with Ryan Rickelton hit maiden century in his 8th test match have good support from captain Bavuma and Kyle Verreynne as things were going there was good chance we will have 350+ runs but now with the fall of two late wickets its look like we will be having just 300 runs which could be also enough for them because we have Sri Lankan batting struggling here.

Pitch is looking good for batting if we have some good performance from Sri Lanka in batting then surely we will be having interesting end of this second test match while Sri Lanka can do some surprising as we have from Bangladesh in West Indies.

I will not say that South Africa batted badly on the first day. However, South Africa did not start the day well. South Africa lost three wickets for just 33 runs. Key players like De Zorzi and Tristan Stubbs batted very badly. Marakram also managed to add only 20 runs to the scoreboard. Due to Sri Lanka poor perform they lost the first Test match by a huge margin. The second match of the same series is being played today in which South Africa decided to bat first. The first test between Sri Lanka and South Africa was kind of low-scoring in the first innings. None of the team played well in the first innings. But the pitch got better in the 2nd innings and South Africa were able to win the match by a big margin. The 2nd test has started already and I feel like we are going to see a similar match again. The pitch does not look batting-friendly.

The home side won the toss and decided to bat first, but they lose three wickets before the launch break. There are two more sessions to play today. I hope we won't see another low scoring match. They already trying to build a partnership, let's see how it goes.
