First test is pretty much India's at this point considering the fact that their lead has already crossed 400 and they still have 5 wickets in hand. 500+ is when they might end up declaring if you ask me.
Kohli is back in form while Sundar is supporting him nicely. Epic comeback by the Indians considering their horrendous start. Let's see if India can best the Aussies on their turf in this series yet again.
India set a huge target of 534 runs for Australia. However, at the end of the day, Australia had 7 wickets in hand and still needed 522 runs to win. In the first innings, India lost all their wickets for just 150 runs. In response, Australia could only manage 104 runs in the first innings after losing all their wickets. Overall, it seemed that this Test match could be a draw, but with time, the scenario started to change and the Indian batsmen batted in the second innings. Due to the responsible batting of opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Indian team was able to score the desired runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 161 runs off 297 balls and Kohli scored 100 runs off 143 balls and then they declared their innings.
At the end of the third day, Australia came out to bat and scored only 12 runs in 4.2 overs and in the process, they lost 3 valuable wickets, which made it look like Australia was going to lose to India by a huge runs.
